It was (and still is) such a difficult time when you have a parent going through severe dementia and end of life and it's overwhelming and the system is NOT build to support the family members who are trying to help when they stop paying their bills and don't know how to stay on top of their money any longer. I was completely mentally and emotionally overloaded and in shock at how severe my mother's condition had become and Omni was not only caring and supportive, she listened and helped me get everything that I needed in place while I was in town so that I could get my mom's affairs in order. She gave me so much personal attention and was extremely responsive and caring throughout the whole process. I honestly don't know if I could have gotten through this or figured any of it out without her help and support. Thank you Omni and I'm so grateful to you for everything!

I had an almost perfect credit score personally (800+). I had zero debt personally and zero debt…read morethrough my business. I had a business that was growing. I had paid off a lot of previous debt so I demonstrated the ability to pay previous obligations. I literally should have been their ideal client. But they denied my $1 million+ revenue business any line of credit (LOC), even a modest $50K. I went to another bank and got a $100K line of credit that was limited only because they were freaked out by Chain Bridge Bank's refusal to lend. A year later, I got a $250K line of credit with my new bank. Chain Bridge Bank appears to cater only to political campaigns. I fail to understand this since that's a very very risk undertaking. But they don't seem to care about almost sure-thing local businesses that are growing rapidly. And now we are 3 times the size only a few years later due to no help from them since they refused to extend a LOC.

As an MU student, this NWFCU location is so convenient. I had visited the Gainesville location the…read moreday prior to get a new debit card since the one I had expired. NWFCU claimed to had sent me a new card but that was not the case. I never received a new card. The person who helped me at the Gainesville location told me all she had to do was print me a new card that would have the same numbers but new expiration date and would mark the "new card" NW "sent me" as lost/stolen. I was there maybe 7 min total and was given my new debit card and told it would work. Needless to say, it did in fact NOT work. I called customer service and she explained the worker did not do this process correctly. She claimed I would have to have an entire new card and she could either expedite ship me one to have within 3 days or I could go to a NW location that day to get a new one. Well, I was in trouble because I had to get gas and my card wasn't working so I ended up having to use the only cash I had on me at the time to get gas ($23 to be exact) so I could get over to the next NW location since I was headed to Arlington for class. I arrived at the N Glebe rd location and had a warm welcome by Justin and other employees. Justin helped me right away and after explaining everything I had gone through, he was apologetic and emphatic towards my situation. He agreed with what the customer service lady told me on the phone - he explained why and proceeded to get my account and debit card corrected. He was the most helpful and kind employee of NWFCU I have EVER experienced. He far exceeded my expectations and kept me in an enlightened mood as I had been pretty frustrated. He made my new card and had me try it at the NWFCU ATM outside to ensure it would work. Of course, Justin fixed everything and my card worked!! I'm telling yall, go here and see Justin. He will take the absolute best care of you possible. Justin, thank you for being you. NW, you have an employee to give acknowledgment to as well as a well deserved raise. I spent 90 minutes on hold and was locked out of my account for two weeks. I didn't want to spend time traveling and sitting in a branch because the service is just as bad. Once I go customer service, he said hello and immediately hung up on me. I was put on hold repeatedly. Customer Service agents did not come back on the line or transferred me to someone's voice mail. I don't know how they stay in business. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

It is a convenient location for all those that are part of a labor union and/or work for a labor union. At first I thought that this was nothing more than an ATM location. But after being around for a bit, and talking with a lot of coworkers, I came to realize that this was a functioning location with a counter complete with tellers. I came here to open up a new account and I find myself leaning more towards credit unions than banks. To note, I had started the application process online to open and account and never heard back from anyone at the credit union for months. I ended up coming into the branch and talking with the staff member responsible with opening accounts. I explained that I had applied to open an account online and that there was no movement. I guess it was a misstep on their behalf. I then asked if I could have hard copies of the application and I would get it filled out and return later that day. Luckily for me, the application process with hard copies was much easier to complete than it was online. Just be aware of the forms you are giving, they tried to slip in an application to apply for a loan for me. Within less than two hours I had my forms complete and I was heading back to this location to hand them in. All I had to do was wait for the forms to be processed by the staff member and then I would hear back from them. True to her word, I had an email shortly thereafter that my account was created and that I would received my checks and card within 7-10 business days. Here is where I thought I was being fooled with. After that email, I did receive an email with my account information. However, when I went to the website to enter this information to confirm and setup my account online, I kept getting denied access. At that point I called the customer service number to figure out what was going on. The lady that helped me via this route was super nice and figured out that they did not give me the complete account number, it was missing a single digit. After that was cleared up, my online account (and mobile account for that fact) were setup. The ten days I was supposed to get my checks and card had come and gone. I called the number for the staff member that initially helped me and had no luck when it came to making contact. At that point, I decided to drop into the branch again. Talked with the staff member and found out that a request for checks and my card was never completed and sent. Once that was cleared up I finally received me card and checks and was able to finally use this account for the reason I set it up.

I went into this bank and and inquired if they could please break ten 20's into smaller bills for my mom. The courteous young lady explained they don't do this for non-bank customers but would check with her manager. The manager agreed to break only one 20 dollar bill for me. And they think THIS is how to attract new customers??? Well certainly not me. I wonder if this manager has ever been a caregiver for anyone? Probably not. It's really hard and your time is limited.
