They quoted a low price and then aggressively upsold me on UVC lights and an antimicrobial spray, bringing the total to $1,400. The two subcontractors they sent had no apparent training and clearly didn't know what they were doing. Instead of properly cleaning the ducts, they blew thick black soot and dust out of the vents and all over my upstairs. It covered: My master bedroom The bathroom My infant daughter's room The black soot was EVERYWHERE. FLoors, walls, furniture, and bedding. It was a complete disaster. When I contacted the company to complain and ask them to come back and clean up the mess they created, they refused to take any responsibility, no apology, no offer to fix it, nothing . What makes this worse is that this operation is run by John Raele out of Winchester, Kentucky. He runs the business under multiple LLCs and brand names (Duct Bee Clean, Airbenders, Maven Air Care, etc.), and every single one of them has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. It appears they deliberately spin up new company names and Facebook pages specifically to avoid the impact of bad reviews and complaints. This was not only a waste of $1,400, but they left my family, including a baby breathing in fine black dust for days. I now have to hire a professional restoration company to do the deep HEPA cleaning they should have prevented.
