Has this ever happened to you? You rent a car from a big and nationwide company for 4 weeks. It happens to be a new Chevy Equinox ( non electric, conventional) with just 2417 miles on it. Your gas tank is full. On the 19th day of your reservation, you stop to get a hot tea in the pouring rain at 11:30 am, get back to the car and it does not start. After trying for a bit with no success, you call the Roadside Assistance number for the rental company to have the operator text you info on a company that will be there in 60 minutes. The tech shows up and tries to jump start with the small and powerful box but to no avail. He then tries to use his cables with the cars side by side and again - no juice, no bueno not even a click or turn. He leaves stating this new car has mechanical issues. You then call the roadside assistance number back who then assign a tow truck to take the vehicle and you back to the airport. It will be an hour. Luckily, National Towing and Recovery is the Savior who is assigned this job. The awesome, resourceful and proactive Bruce shows up with his massive tow truck with the replacement vehicle - a Nissan Rogue, on it. He is the most professional, soft spoken and sharp person. He proceeds to inform me that it would have taken an extra 75-90 minutes to pick me up, haul me to the airport to get a new car and then come back to get this disabled first car. He cut out steps 4-6 and saved the day by already going to the airport and picking up the replacement car and the new paperwork on the replacement car . Good guy, great company. Life saver. He explained everything and was thorough and precise, very careful with both cars. He recommended two great burrito and seafood places on top of that. Yeah we were hungry by then. Anthony helped me out through hertz tow my car he took his time. I had an ev6 break down in Fontana and hertz sent national towing. I was nervous because you never know what to expect with some tow truck companies. But they were extremely professional, and I couldn't believe how seriously they took the profession it really inspired me. You guys did a great job hiring Anthony! He's going places for sure! Update: my car had to get towed back to the yard because a key box wasn't there at the destination to hold the key overnight. The towing company held it overnight, thank God. I called the company and Travis in the morning and he was like no worries, brother we're on it right now. To tow it right back once the destination was opened. One of their employees was extremely rude to me while driving in bumper traffic didn't even honked his horn as it seemed like he wanted me to speed up an extra couple car lengths and signed on my brakes like an idiot. Jose Navarro was the MOST PLEASANT, PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, PUNCTUAL, HONEST part of my crazy day! When he arrived to tow my BMW SUV it was like the most reassuring experience I have ever had and all of my life when dealing with being stranded. He was clean, smelled good , efficient , effective and masked! He was such a gentleman reminding me of things I needed to do and making sure my car got to the BMW dealership in no time! He arrived earlier than I expected in fact he was an hour and a half earlier than expected. It took him 30 minutes to get to me, which originally he was supposed to be almost 2 hours.
