1 star I had a very disappointing experience with this tow company. I spoke with Christina, and she initially sounded very nice and helpful. She told me the tow would be $350. I had called other local tow yards, and they were quoting around $250-$300, but they were taking longer. Even though Christina's quote was a little higher, I agreed because they said they were available right away and I needed the car moved. Looking back, I feel like they took advantage of the fact that we were in a stressful situation and needed help quickly. The tow was only about 11 miles. The vehicle was taken to a storage location that Christina recommended. She told me it would be better to take it there in case the car leaked oil, so it would not get on the concrete. At the time, I trusted what she was saying. The car was only stored for about 2 days, and I was told the storage fee was $125 per day. Even with storage, I was shocked when the total changed from the original $350 quote to $1,362. I asked more than once for an itemized invoice showing the tow fee, mileage, storage days, and any extra charges. Instead, I was told the invoice was inside the vehicle, even though I explained that I could not go in person and asked for a photo or copy by text or email. There was no police impound and no police report. I also asked whether this was being charged as a regular tow or an accident/recovery tow, but I still did not receive a clear written breakdown. Overall, I felt the pricing was not transparent, and I felt taken advantage of during a stressful moment. I would strongly recommend getting the full price, storage fees, mileage, and any additional charges in writing before agreeing to use this company or not using them at all. read more

My son's vehicle was towed by Ramos Towing from a private shopping plaza in Moreno Valley, CA. When he went to retrieve his vehicle, He was charged $967.20 At the tow yard, (which was actually a house) there were no posted towing or storage rates visible anywhere in the vehicle release area. He asked staff to show him their rate schedule, tow policies, and the written authorization for the tow. They refused to provide any of this information. Under California law, tow companies are required to post rates and disclose charges. The telephone representative also advised they would only accept a cash payment for the fees. He was required to pay under duress in order to regain possession of his vehicle. He is now filing formal complaints with state regulators. ********I strongly recommend that anyone dealing with this company document everything, ask for posted rates and written authorization, and know your rights before paying.********* read more

The young men taunted me and suggested I walk home to my home in Del Paso Manor. The Sacramento SPCA was kind enough to provide food, UBER me home, a 20 minute UBER ride. As a classic car owner, it's almost always a nightmare when your car has to get towed. Not today though! I had the pleasure of having Gama pick up my 80's BMW. He was very attentive when strapping it up to the tow truck to ensure nothing got damaged and was a great conversationalist the entire hour and a half it took to deliver my car back home after it broke down. My car was towed from the front of my house. The tow truck driver pulled up with no headlights on (I reviewed my video surveillance). I spoke to the driver as he had not strapped up my car yet. He was a young, hostile man. I pleaded with him and asked him why, he said "someone called on you" as all my neighbors were outside with me in disbelief. He then proceeded to hoist my sedan up in the air 8 feet to the point that my exhaust and back end were flat on the street, causing damage. I told him he's causing damage and he yelled back "want me to raise it higher?!" (I have it all on video) then he lowered it a bit to get the back off the ground once he realized what he did. My girlfriend came outside and he proceeded to yell at her calling her a "stupid lesbian". He then got in his truck and dragged my car, which had the emergency brake on, 20 feet (also on video) and you can see the skid marks on the ground. After he left I called the company and spoke to a woman and she told me I could come pick the car up immediately. I drove 30 minutes away to the address provided and it was an abandoned building with no entrance. No one answered the phone for the rest of the evening and not even the police could give me an answer to where my car was. I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE MY CAR. I've attached photos for some evidence. Hopefully I'll be able to locate my car sometime soon. I come from a family of lawyers and this company WILL be hearing from them. read more

never have i ever worked with such unhelpful customer service. the woman handling the phones quoted me that they were 1.5 hours out with the tow truck (twice no actual ETA was given just a 90 min window both times), in the middle of Los Angeles mind you which is filled with tow services, while never supplying any contact information for the driver, let alone ANY INFORMATION AT ALL ABOUT OUR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE!!! they then called me back, with an update ... but only that they weren't coming for another 2 hours! normally i would have immediately called another service through AAA, but this was apparently the one one available to take to destination. and since AAA doesn't have the driver information, it was on this tow company to help us out with that. Met a man at the tow yard and he treated my boyfriend badly and was being extremely aggressive. He kept taunting my partner saying "pay your registration and maybe you'll get your car back" when the reg is paid we just lost the stickers. He was also yelling at my boyfriend saying that he can just keep our car if he wanted to and to be careful how we talked to him. He threw our car keys and was laughing at us. Mind you I had my 3 YEAR OLD SON WITH US. He also called my boyfriend "a little bitch". He also stated that he owns this lot and he controls the prices. A woman on the phone quoted us $550 and when we showed up to the tow yard he said it was $610. He said he raised the price because he was "off that day". We offered to meet him wherever he was going to drop the car and he said no which made us pay extra as well for another day. I've been on hold with this company for 26 minutes trying to schedule a time to get my vehicle with my only car seat in it as well as my baby bag. This company is extremely unprofessional and I truly believe the man who we met needs professional help and therapy. When I went to get my vehicle - the rep gave me a paper to sign before bringing out my car - I signed and when I received my vehicle I noticed there was damage done - I informed the rep and he said " I can't do anything about that since you already signed the paper" I argued that they should have then brought out the vehicle first to inspect and THEN being the paper out - Also, on their form it states you can make a payment through credit card or cash - when I provided my card the rep said " we only take Zelle" - Another thing, they have 5 different addresses for this company and not one of these addresses match where you pick up your vehicle. They dispatched Ramos towing from Riverside and I receive a courtesy call from the driver Fernando, and he let me know the exact time he would be arriving. When he got here, he was courteous and very kind, very knowledgeable about what he was doing. He tested my battery, gave me a jump and not only did he do that but he made sure my alternator and starter we're working properly. This was set up through a third party, AAA, that I have roadside service with, Ruben Moreno, from Ramos Towing, came yesterday (3/25/24) and started my battery for my boyfriend and I. Communication with him was great and he was punctual. Unfortunately, my classic car was left by the driver sticking out of the garage so I can't close my garage door. I was told another truck from Ramos Towing was coming out to bring me gas because it sounded like the car was out of gas or I said if the gas doesn't work they will need to move the car over to the right so I can close the door. The dispatch lady lied to me. I don't trust liars. I sent in a request on AAA at 8:30am. I received a call from Ramos towing at 8:58, they said they would be there no later than 10am. Nothing...I call at 12:15pm asking when they would arrive. The lady said the tow truck driver was outside and couldn't find me when they called at 8:58am. That is a flat out lie. On Valentine's Day my son was on his way back to school in Arizona when his car overheated (radiator was cracked) on the 60 in Moreno Valley, he pulled into a gas station. Wow! Having to be towed is never something one looks forward to. After my engine just decided to die on the freeway I reached out to AAA to be towed (engine light on & Hybrid engine malfunction -Stop - Do Not Drive...as if I had an option). AAA reached out to Ramos Towing who called me back in less than 5 minutes. Fortunately, Joe was nearby in the area. (nothing like being stuck on the So Cal freeway shoulder at the mercy of shoulder drivers in 100 degree heat). Joe called, got clarification on my exact location (which was super helpful as the AAA automated system was having challenges translating what I was telling it) and let me know where he was so he could properly gauge his ETA Joe arrived on time, assisted me out of my vehicle to keep me safe from traffic whizzing by. This place was recommended by triple A when I was stranded on the 60 fwy Noth down right before the 60 fwy interchange. I had the unfortunate luck of getting a flat tire on a heavy rainy day. This place Ramos towing was assigned to me my by insurance. Well, needless to say , it is a very memorable journey but in the worst way possible. They sent me a text message that it would take 40 minutes at least, ok, fine, it's raining and they are busy. When I saw the Ramos truck coming up, he just drove right by me and did not even stop. I emediatly called their office and some lady by the name of Candise,when I explained what had happened, she was quick to say that the drive stopped and that I declined service. This was all false, and as I was telling her that I was going to report this to triple A she did not even let me finish my conversation when she just hung up the phone. After 2 and a half hours in the rain, finally chp and Coltranes truck that is state funded and free to motorists in distress stopped and held me. Just FYI all you need to do is dial 511 from your phone and you will get connected to help. Worse experience ever with RAMOS TOWING! Will never recommend this location to anyone.
