It is the end of the money and it is still pending and they have still not fixed it though I have called multiple times. Nations Benefits is touted as something special for Florida Blue members. It's more of a rip off from Nations Benefits. The prices keep rising every year. This years 30 Calcium tablets went from $6 to $8. When I first started using Nations Benefits they were $4 Here is an example of their prices compared to Walmart and Amazon. It is very unfortunate when you are needing help and the business owners just don't care about their own customers satisfaction. I have spoken to 3 different people and only ONE cared enough to even try to solve the issue; which still isn't resolved. I've been with my insurance provider since before they started using Nation's Benefits. I can say, without exaggeration, that Nation's Benefits is THE WORST. I've worked in the customer care field for over 20 years and would have been fired for treating customers as Nation's Benefits agents treat their customers. I've called to report money disappearing from my account on multiple occasions. I've been hung up on by their customer service people. I've ordered items from them and received the completely wrong thing. Each time I reached out to their customer service people for a resolution, they give an "I don't give a s#!t attitude". Their "Nation's Benefits Pro" app? Garbage. Most times you can't log in or its online store didn't work. When you do talk to them, they admit they are having "glitches". When I write a review I do so to help other people. My Anthem insurance program switched over to this company for the over the counter benefits for 2023. You cannot use this card for online orders unless it is from them. Last year I was able to use my OTC card for online shopping at Walmart. Now the only way to shop other than the NB site is to physically go into the store. Being mobility impaired this is very difficult for me. I made a purchase with Nations Benefits through my AvMed flex card on 2Dec2024 The first charge was for $146.33 and the 2nd charge was for $50 Just want to add there is plenty money on the card! You can't use the card online unless you purchase from them. If I purchase online with my personal credit card they will not reimburse me. Every product I purchased was eligible when I looked it up on their website but since it was purchased on line from Walmart and not from them it was declined. I have called at least a dozen times to get a credit on my credit card for an order that was canceled on August 20, 2024 and they keep telling me a supervisor will call me back and they never do. I was a Humana Gold Plus member and was 100% satisfied. Unfortunately, a very well known medical community decided that they will no longer accept Humana. ALL of my doctors now won't accept Humana. Because I have several autoimmune diseases I determined that I couldn't lose my doctors. I called Amerigroup who talked to me about Amerivantage which is a dual plan. I asked VERY specific questions. They give you $150 to get groceries per month. You can choose either a $50 a month credit towards your utility bill or an additional $500 per year added to your dental, vision or hearing allotted amount. I was told that I could use both cards online with no issues. I asked if I could use the card to get groceries delivered from Walmart. They said that would be no problem. I wait for 2 weeks to get the card and activate it and try and use it and it won't work. So I call Nations Benefits which is who Amerigroup has contracted for this OTC/Flex card service. Imagine my surprise when I am told that you can't use EITHER benefit online. Which makes it completely useless to me. Then Nations said that you can order groceries through them. I am adding pictures of the groceries. They have a grand total of about 20 items that are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. Need a generic can of tuna? You can get it for $2.50! How about salmon or sardines in a can? Yum yum.Want cereal? It will only cost you $7!! A box of pasta that would cost 99 cents at the store? Well, ladies and gents you can have that box of pasta for $4.50! Going once...going twice...SOLD to the desperate person that has no other choice. I find it laughable that "Healthy Foods" are written on this page. I tell them that I can't go to the store, I don't have a car and sometimes I can't even walk unassisted when my diseases flare. They say we have a transportation service that can take you as long as you book them 72 hours in advance. Read up on the transportation company. They don't show up. IF you actually can get picked up it can take 5-7 hours after your appointment for them to pick you back up IF they actually show up to do that! I am LIVID! I now have to deal with this until January 2024 to switch to yet another insurance company where I still may end up losing my doctors. In the United States of America health insurance, medical care and groceries should not be this bad. I had Amerigroup years ago and hated it then. I had hoped that they would have gotten better but it looks like they have gotten worse. The only reason I went with them to begin with is for the benefits that I can't even use! BTW I actually talked to several members. You have to scan each thing at the grocery store to see if Nations will approve what groceries you get. The prices for the normally cheapest items are so high it should be illegal. The elderly who may have multiple physical disabilities are forced to order from Nations Benefits online store as they now prohibit use of ordering and paying online anywhere except their on line store. Where, before Nations Benefits, you could order from a Walmart online and either have them delivered or pick up outside of the store using your card to pay, that option is not available this year. It's the "exclusive" shipper for OTC products for my insurance company and they literally have you by the b**ls if you are not able to go to a store to use your benefits card. The prices are 2-3 times retail, so your $65 benefits is really worth $20-25. Twice I ordered 4x4 gauze pads, the most common item and they substituted a non adherent 4x3 pad and this time I have had 3 phone calls over an hour total and still no credit.
