Hi! my name is ES and I'm a Native-aholic. Proud Native lover here! I've been a devotee of this adorable shop (and its second location on Franklin Village) for 17 years! Michelle, the keener, is an absolute delight AND an expert merchandiser & accessorizer. Whether I need a date night outfit, full new wardrobe, or even the BEST gifts for hard to buy friends, Michelle has something for everyone! There have even been times when I go in feeling frumpy and she'll start to wave her magic wand and suddenly I look and FEEL cute! and OOPS I charged it all on my visa. My latest splurge is was when she had her jewelry sale with the designer in the store. The designer custom fit my necklace and now it's my favorite piece and I wear it 24/4. And the best part is that it's all really affordable fashion but NOT fast & cheap fashion! There IS a distinction! I can't sing Michelle or this shops praises any better, you'll just have to pop in and tell her ES sent ya!

I am a thrift store secondhand shopper with one exception: Native Boutique! Ever since the shop moved into the neighborhood I have been a fan. Their clothing is always beautiful, artful and unique. Their jewelry and various accessories support independent artists and vendors. A favorite item for me is a line of specialty journals. I've gotten to know the owner, Michelle, from being a return costumer, and she's always friendly and helpful. Finally, their sales are great, always the discount rack outside!

Love to shop locally but careful with this shop, they over charged me the price of an item ( and they even ripped the tag off) and when I went back to have them honor the price they first tried to say it was me "misreading" the tag but then when I called the other employee who was helping me and she confirmed the original price, they switched the story and said the couldn't alter the price because "they couldn't sell it for that low" like ?? It's not my fault you tagged it wrong. Scammers who hide behind "nice" service. read more

This is a great female owned business in Eagle Rock. I lived up the street for 6 months while my home was being remolded. Most of my clothes were in storage so I would walk here once a week to see what they had. They carry a great variety of fashionable clothing and accessories for women for under $100. They also have a $20 sale rack where you can purchase quality pieces at a discount. I was able to build a new wardrobe during my temporary stay and still have those items. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Even though I no longer live up the street I still stop by on occasion to check out the sales rack and new inventory. I made a special trip on Black Friday to lend my support as part of #Yelpshopslocal because I feel it's important to support local, small businesses and the owner of Native Boutique is always doing her part to support local and women owned businesses too. Every time I visit the store, I'm always taken care of! The clothes are great, but I love the customer service the most! I love visiting when Michelle and Judy is there. They both go above and beyond to make you have the full shopping experience. As an Eagle Rock Native, I love this store. Great selection, great sales, and the store owner is kind and helpful. So glad her staff is the same. My husband went to Native to buy me a birthday gift this year. As he has for several years now. He purchased a beautifully fragrant candle (jasmine) and a new purse for me. I wasn't sold on the purse so I went back to exchange it. I was not asked for a receipt, but it still had price tag on it. I prefer non name brand purses with emblems advertising a brand; so this store meets my preferences. I exchanged my gifted purse for a lovely backpack that brought me joy the second I saw it. It was coincidentally the same price as my gifted exchanged bag! Win! The person assisting me showed me a new item that arrived recently and I loved it! I was lured in by a pair of pants on the $20 rack outside. (Which will be my new favorite summer pants.) Inside I fell in love with a necklace, I just wished it was a bit shorter. The sales associate took it to the back and adjusted the chain in the few minutes it took me to try on clothes. Incredible service, cute stuff, fair prices. I had noticed the shop for some time now and finally decided to come in yesterday Sunday when there is no street traffic and easy parking. Interior is nicely arranged and decorated with a very cheerful ambience. I found a couple of items that I liked, and went into the dressing room to try them on. I decided on a really cute sleeveless button down top, and purchased it. Prices are reasonable as well. There was also a sales rack in front of the shop. Street parking was not difficult to find. After leaving the shop later that day, I realized that I should've bought two of the tops instead of one, as I decided to give one as a gift to my sister. So I called the shop, and asked if they could hold another one for me, and that I'd go and pick it up. They did still have the size that I wanted. They were so nice about it, and said that they'd be able to hold it for me for a day, otherwise I could purchase it over the phone, and they'd save it for me. So I did call back when I realized that I couldn't go back and pick it up before the end of the next day. So I was able to purchase it over the phone on my credit card. I went back a few days later, and since I said it was going to be a gift, they had it nicely wrapped in a box with a ribbon! Service was really exceptional. Highly recommended.

I drive @45 minutes to get there and had actually selected a jacket for myself. I tried on the jacket and noticed that there was a $32 discrepancy between the coat on line versus in the store. I waited in the long line (holiday sale prompted throngs) and told (& showed her the jacket I had saved in my phone) the owner what happened. She asked me to wait to check. I waited a good 15 plus minutes during which time her assistant took down the coat from the web site and made it reflect the higher price. Then she brightly asked if I wanted to try it on again and I said no, I need to leave and then she said she wouldn't honor the price that was listed on line stating it was a human error and she was running a small business. I think it is bad form to not honor the price that was listed. She has known than I've brought friends who have spent significant money in her store and I come to her from great distance for years...this was their mistake and I think it's extremely poor form to not honor what was listed. This is customer service at its worse. So much for loyalty. I could easily have bought the jacket on line and picked it up at the store but I thought that would not have integrity. Come to think of it, her actions didn't have integrity. You would think she would cultivate keeping her loyal customer base. What a disappointment.

The shop provides a community space where local artist can showcase their work, so you'll also find handmade candles, soaps, essential oils, creams, and even little plants from local independent crafters. A while back, I purchased a photo of taken by Danell of the Highland Park Theatre snapped from the alley across the street that is now the patio for HomeState. My brother and I used to go to that theatre when we were kids. I recently came here for the Toast of the Souls event in honor of Dia de Los Muertos. Noelle designed a beautiful alter to honor loved ones. There was a DJ and reps from Hornitos Tequila serving up complimentary cocktails for patrons to enjoy while they shopped. I asked for an explanation because since when is a gift receipt better than an original receipt to get a full refund?!?? I couldn't tell you if the store policy sign was there when I purchased it or not but I KNOW I was never told or asked if I would need a gift receipt for a holiday return. Even so, receipt at hand, tags on, and item was in new condition. You would think that the manager would offer something like a store credit because the policy makes no sense. But no, she just had a smirk and cocky attitude. Lesson learned though, don't shop here ever again, supporting local business shouldn't mean buying overpriced clothes like a $32 basic white long sleeve.

The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

This store is a place I keep coming back to. The owner and her employees are super sweet and friendly and know when to let you browse. The pieces are very affordable and still are good quality. I've been going since they opened and the clothes I purchased a few years ago still hold up and are still fashionable! A funny story: I was recently at a posh Hollywood shin dig complete with paparazzi--I was just an onlooker on the side line of all the glitz and glam but wearing one of my Native favorites when one of the young starlets being photographed kindly walked up to me in her very upscale designer dress and remarked that she dug my outfit and wanted to know who the designer was!!! Ha-ha! Thank you Native Boutique!!! Also a great place to buy a gift for a friend--lots to choose from including one of a kind jewelry and choices and cuts of clothes that fit all types of bodies. We visited Native Boutique as part of a Dream Factory trip for our daughter and what a thrill! They have such a variety that ranges from casual to dressy! Michelle, the owner of the shop, allowed our daughter to shop freely and paid for her entire outfit including all accessories, as well as a necklace for our other daughter! Judy greeted us and welcomed us in! She was fantastic! She was very patient and helped our daughter pick a super cute dress, as well as a belt and jewelry to wear! She showed her all the different ways she could wear each piece. When our daughter's face lit up, it was priceless! We cannot thank Michelle and Judy enough for going out of their way to donate such a special experience to our daughter! This place is seriously amazing. I came here for my Renaissance fit recently, as well as having come here previously for super cute outfits for summer parties, weddings, even once for a red carpet. Michelle and the entire staff are so warm and welcoming, and they are as excited about your outfits as you are (but never in a pushy, or salesy way!) I ran into Native right before closing, Sham the sales associate was so welcoming and helpful! I felt badly going so late, however Sham was friendly and also helping two other ladies and he took time with all of us. I'm not a fan of shopping so when you have a place like Native that you can walk into and get everything you need in one hit from casual to formal, it's like heaven to me! I also love that you can always find something that feels made for you. I love the mix of styles they carry! Hanna and the manager really looked after me well.
