Unfortunately, as I was looking in to several companies I found that many of the name brand companies like Orkin, Terminix, etc. really left a lot to be desired. Why you may ask well good question.... So for some of us that have opted to have spray foam insulation installed in our homes at some point, as it is some of the best insulation out there, it seems these companies (especially Orkin) have absolutely no interest in helping us out or even discussing any options with me. They flat out just said thanks but no thanks... Enter "The Termite Guys" and boy am I very glad I called this outfit. Let's just say they really know how to provide excellent customer service. Spoke to both Matthew and Eddie and both were knowledgeable and worked with me to treat my house for both dry wood termites and subterranean termites as well. After some discussion we coordinated getting the house treated at the same time I replaced my roof so I could treat all the new wood being installed. I can tell you that there are not many companies that are willing to do something like that but the Termite Guys are willing to work with you and do whatever it takes to get you taken care of. After treating my home, I opted for a maintenance plan where they come back periodically to inspect and retreat if necessary. One thing is for sure, here in South Florida all our homes are subject to getting termites at one point or another. When you do do you want to work with a national company that cares little to nothing about you and your home or do you want to work with a local company that cares and will work with you to put a plan together and get you taken care of. From my perspective, this company was a real pleasure to work with and I highly recommend you give them a call if you are looking to treat your home for termites. The company is professional and very punctual (Victor was right on time for the estimate, and the crew was on time for the fumigation, and for the return of the key). Needless to say, I slept with a lights on after reading that cockroaches, love the dark. I was awake most of the night thinking about these pesky critters and took advantage of the time to start to research environmentally safe pest control services. I remembered that I had contacted a company 2 years back and found them again on the website. The name is New Era Pest Control -what I like about this business is that they use some thing called "diatomaceous earth" to get rid of cockroaches, which is organic and environmentally safe -not harmful to pets or people. The owner Monty is always the one that responds to your questions on the website and he immediately sends you a text and confirms the appointment. You do have to pre-pay for the visit. But they are punctual and reliable. When you sign up with them, they will come out on a regular basis to to keep your environment, pest free. Sometimes I wish it was done less frequently, but they come out every two months if you sign up for regular monitoring. But the work is guaranteed. I was able to get an appointment quickly and I was relieved because I would now be able to go to sleep that night with the lights out and not obsessing over a cockroach. Kevin was the one who came out to handle the fumigation, and my son took him around to all the rooms, and everything was done in a professional manner. I requested an estimate from them and they never provided one - even after their employee. Ensured my house (again). Econo-Way had tented half a dozen neighboring houses here in Key Largo over the last 6 months. All had very positive experiences. I reached out and was given an estimate within a couple days! It was very affordable and I was able to select a date to proceed with the tenting. If you have ever tented for termites, you know it is a HUGE endeavor preparing your house. They provided my with 9 sets of gas proof bags to put food and medicines inside. I only used 4 and returned the extras. On the date the tenting was scheduled, they arrived at the arranged time and proceeded to do their thing. I stayed in a hotel for 48 hours and they constantly kept me updated. I returned home and met the workers who checked that no gas remained in my house. They also returned my house keys. There was no damage and no signs they had ever been there! If you have to be termite tented, they are a great company to use!
