After finally arriving, checking in, and completing all of the required paperwork, I was brought back to the treatment room and was literally lying on the bed ready for my service when I was informed that I could not be treated due to my medical history. My frustration is not necessarily with the decision itself, but with the timing and lack of communication. If the medical questionnaire had been sent to me before my appointment, the staff could have reviewed it ahead of time and informed me that I was not a candidate for microneedling. Instead, I took time off work, drove nearly an hour round trip, completed all of the intake forms, and was turned away at the last possible moment. What was even more confusing was that I asked whether I could receive a facial instead. I explained that I get facials regularly and would have preferred receiving some type of service since I had already made the trip. Despite that, I was told I could not receive any treatment and that I would not be eligible for services for an entire year. As someone who manages chronic health conditions, I left feeling dismissed rather than cared for. I fully support providers prioritizing patient safety, but there is a professional and respectful way to handle those situations. The lack of advance screening, the inconvenience, and the way the situation was handled made this one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had. If you have a complex medical history or chronic health conditions, I would strongly encourage you to contact the office and discuss your eligibility before making the trip. UPDATE: Since Yelp does not allow replies, the owner commented on my review stating that communication had been given to me prior to my appointment. This is completely untrue. I have no emails or text messages from them regarding my medical history or directions to their building other than just the address. I understand safety is the top priority. But the lack of accountability is really disheartening.

Immediately they brought in Mary, one of the nurses to get her opinion of whether I should get some dissolver injected to those areas.... we decided against it! Instead my Esthetician, Alizia poked the particular area with the needle in order to squeeze out the pool of filler & I had immediate relief! Mary, the nurse practitioner who treated me, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and precise. With a relatively small amount of filler, she was able to make a noticeable yet very natural difference. She used roughly a portion of the syringe in my lips and strategically placed the rest in areas like my chin shadows and nasolabial folds. I really appreciated that she made sure to use the filler efficiently and intentionally nothing felt rushed, overdone, or unnecessary. The results were subtle but impactful, and it honestly blew me away how much a half syringe can do when it's placed correctly. The entire staff was kind, welcoming, and professional, and the med spa itself felt clean, modern, and well run. I felt comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Since my visit, my cousin who lives in Scottsdale ended up joining one of Skindale's memberships and has been doing microneedling with PDRN. She's had a great experience as well and is really happy with her results which says a lot, especially since I've had PDRN treatments before in Colorado and know how effective they can be.
