I hate to write a bad review because the women here are so friendly but after two spray tans, I will not be coming back to Natural Bronzing. My first spray tan went well. I loved that NB had disposable thongs, pasties, and foot coverings and that the room was very clean and sanitary. It was my first spray tan and I felt very comfortable even despite being basically naked! And I loved my tan. It was even, a great color, and I felt really confident. I got so many compliments from friends when I told them it was a spray tan. However, it wore off within three days despite moisturizing every day, not using Dove soap, not showering for 12 hours after, and only going in the ocean once. Whatever, maybe I used something that wore it off faster than normal. My second tan did not go as well. Right when my tan started I realized I hadn't taken off a bracelet or two rings, but when I mentioned it, the woman said it was fine and that I didn't need to take them off. The spray tan continued on. At the end, the color looked great but overall I felt incredibly rushed. As I was changing, I realized that my feet were never sprayed (I should've said something but I had already changed). When I got home, I realized that my stomach was not as tan as the rest of my body, I had a bracelet tan line, and the color was splotchy in places (my upper arms were lighter than from the elbow down!). Also, despite lots of moisturizing, not showering for 11 hours, etc. the tan again only lasted three days with most of it fading after one day. I really do find the women who work here so pleasant and sweet so I don't like writing this. But I'll be looking for another spray tan spot where I don't feel rushed and one where I can get a tan that actually lasts longer than three days. read more

I've been sitting here just agonizing over whether I should give this place three or four stars. I'm going to give it four stars because I really have nothing to compare it to and it seemed very nice and clean. I made an appointment and was seen right away. The changing room was very clean and I instantly felt very comfortable. The lady who was doing the actual application made sure I had all my questions answered and that I didn't walk away not knowing how to care for my skin/tan after having my first spray tan. She also gave me some pointers/tips for making the tan last. That said, I have fairly dry skin on my legs and had I known I was going to be spray tanning and that dry skin looks splotchy when the spray is applied, I would have moisturized the week before. love -love- love! Amazing tan! The place is so clean, the employees are so nice and the prices are so affordable. Anytime before I go on vacation I am sure to stop here to get some great color! The color is so natural looking-never orange- and it last a long time as long as you take care of it! My first time I remember feeling elf conscious and nervous because I had never had someone spray tan me, I always did the machine. Anyways long story short is that they made me feel very comfortable and I was amazed at the results! I leave their feeling amazing! Not to mention that tis place has more of a spa feel then a tanning salon, they have really nice changing rooms and provide water and snacks. I can't say enough about the professionalism of the staff specifically Nailea. I pretty much botched my booth experience (it was my second time ever doing a spray tan). When I stepped out I realized I did not follow the instructions while in the booth resulting in some definite un-even results. Nailea came to the rescue not only fixing my mistakes she was also very encouraging using the hand spray technique to make sure I had a even tan. I've come to Natural Bronzing twice now. I should note that my very first time getting a spray tan ever was at Natural Bronzing. The tan specialist was very nice and patient. I'm not really used to stripping completely naked in front of a stranger for 20 mins while she sprays cool mist on me. But this specialist was incredibly professional and distracted me with conversations. I wish I remembered her name. The only reason I deducted a star was because the tan did not last as long as I would've liked. I came to get crease marks between my breasts by day 3 as well as creases on my wrists and ankles. Think it may be the formula because I have since gone elsewhere and the tan has lasted longer. Otherwise if you're going to a special event within a day or two of your tan, you're good to go! read more

DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE OUTSIDE. When you walk into Natural Bronzing it's such a cute little place and they are so professional. First you walk in, and they offer free covers, sandals, tattoos, lotions and how to take care after. They bring you into the room where you will undress & they will give you a cover. The artist will knock & will ask you what you are looking for. And they make sure you feel comfortable especially since you'll be standing there all nakey . But they tan you fairly fast within 10 minutes and the horror is over! They let you dry, change & pay! I was done with 30 minutes! A week later & my color still looks nice and bright, right in time for the SF hot weather. Very well priced, professional & a good job. No streaks no residue on my clothes. read more

5 star for Tans and 5 stars for eyelash's! I only go here to get my spray tans done. They come out perfect every.single.time. I also get my eyelash extensions done here every two weeks. It is the most amazing thing you can do for your beauty routine. Service is friendly and its so easy to book appointments. I also love that they send you a text reminder (because its easy to forget). Have you ever wondered what you would look like with a spray tan? Well, this is the place for newbies and the curious to do it! Why? Because it will only cost you $25! Do not expect this place to be nice and ritzy or anything, because it's not. It's a teeny tiny, hole in the wall...but hey, you're there for a cheap tan, so who cares? The tan is good if you just need it for a day or two, so I guess that's good enough for an event of some sort. If you hate what you look like with a deep dark tan, you can always scrub it off and not feel too bad about wasting money. I'm giving this place 4-stars, simply based on its affordability! On the not-so-positive side, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're hoping for your tan to last beyond a couple of days. I also wouldn't get a spray tan here if you plan on prancing around naked. Update: My mom did not know the story yet (as she never would have called) and apparently called to make an appointment for tanning for my sister and her. The owner found out that they were related to me and called back saying I wrote a bad review and they would not allow my family to get services there! I'm super white, so when I booked a trip to Vegas.... I knew I needed to do something. In tanning beds I burn, and I always do a horrible job with that store bought spray crap. I felt totally comfortable standing infront of the woman naked. She was super nice!! The spray lasted about a week, no streeks, and I thought it looked really good. I'd def do it again. read more

I got the chance to get airbrushed today to get ready to attend a wedding tomorrow. The my friend, bride-to-be found this place on Yelp and she told me about this business which has two locations in Danville and in Burlingame. I decided to make an appointment with the Burlingame office because I'm familiar with the area. I've had airbrush tans in the past and wanted to try a new spot since I heard they charge $35 per session! My initial appointment was set for 11:30am and I was running a few minutes behind schedule so I called to let them know so they bumped me to a new time at 12:15pm. Which was totally fine; Cindy said she didn't want to have me wait too long since there was an appointment after me. I came in, parked in the back and walked right up those stairs. I sat and waited til' the room was ready. Cindy showed me where to place my things and such; made sure I knew where everything was before I was ready for my tan. Turned the light switch on to let the tanning tech know I was undressed and ready to go. Maggie came in and she was super nice and friendly. She made sure I was comfortable since I was topless. I opted for a full body and face session. I had one coat done and she asked if I could check it out in the mirror. I asked if she could apply another coat but only for my body. She was very thorough and cleaned me up before she left. She turned on the timer for 4 minutes and the fan to dry me off. As soon as I changed into my clothes, I checked out at the front desk. Cindy went over some tips and what not to do within the first 10-12 hours. This place is very clean and the staff is incredibly helpful and personable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place for a sunless airbrush tan. I can already see that the color has set in; I'll shower tomorrow. Never had a spray so I don't really have anything to compare it to.. but I say overall the customer service was great I can't remember the girl that sprayed me but she was very good in prepping me for my tan and gave me a lot of do's and don'ts. For $25, this was definitely a good buy. I liked it.. and would definitely go back. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the stuff is still on my skin like where I've shaved... I still have little brown polka-dots. And there are other parts of my body (like the inseam of your jeans) where it seems there was a slight rubbing and discoloration. But if that stuff is still on my skin and its been 2 weeks that means the product must be long-lasting right? read more

I have been a happy client for several years now and for me personally this place is as good as it gets. Nailea is my airbrush artist and she knows exactly what color I want (DARK!) and gets it right every time. There are times my hands and/or feet have come out too dark or splotchy the day after getting sprayed, and since I usually can't come in to get it fixed the next day, Nailea makes sure to address and fix it when I mention the problem on subsequent visits. She keeps the chit chat to a minimum which I don't mind; I prefer not to talk with all the mist in the air. Besides, I still enjoy my visits with her because not only does she have great technique and give me the tan I want each time, she's polite and has a sweet disposition. Plus, we always have a good laugh when she asks me after spraying me if the color is good when she knows very well I'm going to say I want to go darker! I'm always happy to see her and she makes the whole being in my birthday suit with her a comfortable situation. It's also a treat when the owner Sharon is in on the day of my appointment and I get to chat with her. She doesn't spray anymore but often I see her at the front desk. She was my first airbrush artist here and was always aiming to please during each of my appointments - she still is as the owner. We always had fun conversations then, and nowadays when she has time to chat we still do to this day. As a long-time loyal client she takes care of me with her great service and I appreciate it. They have moved into a much bigger and nicer space on Howard Ave. which can accommodate more clients, and having a bigger space with a separate area with stalls for drying off means you can take as long as you want after you get sprayed to dry off. Not much time is needed though - five minutes and you're good to go. Sometimes parking can be tough at peak times on Howard but you can still park in the lot in the back for a fee or for free if you go after 6. I had my very first tanning salon experience here 1 week before my wedding March 27, 2010. Although I don't have a past experience to benchmark, I was quite pleased with the service and staff. It was a rather quick appointment, no longer than 20 minutes from start to finish. The tanning room is closet-size but clean & sanitary. I didn't really notice a big difference but my sister in law said it looked really nice. My concern was that i didn't want to appear "overdone" and i got what i wanted for the wedding. For first-timers, please note that you can't shower for at least 12 hours and wear loose casual clothing as your skin will feel sticky for couple of hours. Your skin will also smell too before you shower so give your significant other fair warning. =) A helpful tip is to use Jergens Natural Glow Lotion (lighter version) to maintain the color longer. The best time to get this done is 3-4 days before your special event. I would definitely do this again for a future event. read more

got airbrushed on Thursday and its still holding up to the following Wednesday 6 days later! Seriously, I can still see the thong tan lines. this place rocks! the chick was totally nice and personable and I followed instructions religiously: - day of, tried to limit hand-washing and did so very carefully, tried to use hand sanitizer - didn't shower until next day - didn't use dove soap - shaved with conditioner - moisturize w/ lubriderm i did two coats; she did one coat, asked how i liked it and if i wanted another. it peaked at 12 hours like she said, my husband woke me up and said i looked like some tropical girl. only wished i had worn a strapless bra as my bra straps wore a little of the tan off, however after it peaked i could barely tell. it looked so natural. this is great for a special occasion, before a vacation or to maintain a nice tan with out the cancer rays. can't beat $35 for full body. they also sell take home spray for $18 to maintain your look. read more

I came here the day before I left for a week long trip to Mexico. It was easy to get an appointment and not too hard to find the place. The woman that airbrushed me was very professional, polite and nice. She made sure I had the shade that I wanted, which took to coats. I am very fair and it was the perfect tan, a nice golden glow. It lasted about 4-5 days. I would reccommened this place to friends on the peninsula and I'll most likely be back for any special occasions that come up. read more

I went here on Saturday ( it was my first time getting a spray tan so i was nervous but chose this place due to the good reviews). Tips: -Exfoliate! I had previous tan lines and i didn't notice it was peeling until after I had gotten my spray tan. It looked really weird the first day but I ended up exfoliating the day after and it worked out fine. - Mine looked best 2 days after I had gotten it done so if you have an event to go to, get it done 2-3 days ahead of time - I made the mistake of getting my hair done right after and then going to an outdoor event & the hair dryers and the sun made me sweat and it melted off around my belly button. I went back today to get a touch up ( they did it for free after I called and said my legs weren't dark enough) which was awesome! I think the ladys name was MAGGIE and she was so sweet I would reccommend her! Overall, I gave it 5 stars because I know I would avoid making the same mistakes next time and I will definitely be going back before my next event! read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star.. I had my full eyelash extension & was informed that it would last at least 3-4 weeks but that night it already started falling off!! The next day my left eye was really irritated which led to an infection. Clearly their treatment room/tools are unsanitary. This place is dirty and unfriendly especially the Elder asian lady came off as really unprofessional & rude! their customer service is very bad! It's not worth your time, nor your money! Love this place - quick and efficient. Easy to book online and it was very cute inside. There was someone who greets you downstairs. She explained the process and within 15 minutes I was already dazzling! The receptionist was also nice and they were quick to respond to my questions even after hours ( it was my first Time there) apparently they are also opening a bigger location down the block, I saw it when I was driving by! Sharon & the ladies at Natural Bronzing are great! So far I've gone twice for eyelash extensions. Sharon did an amazing job...she was meticulous, friendly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. She's definitely the only person I'll ever go to for eyelashes. I've also gone once for spray tanning (my first time) and was extremely pleased with the results. They even let you choose from an assortment of handmade pasties & panties/thongs, which I thought was a great little extra touch. Prices are very reasonable too. I absolutely adore this place. As a reformed sun worshiper, but still craving that summer glow, I initially went to Natural Bronzing on the recommendation of a coworker. While skeptical, she did look fantastically bronzed in a completely non fake-n-bake way. Having done the spray tanning booth once a few years ago--with scarring consequences--I couldn't help but be a bit skeptical. Nevertheless, I gave it a shot before a special trip to Vegas. The result? Success. Wild success. Since then, I've been back more than I'd like to admit. The girls there are so amazing, excel in customer service, and frankly, give one hell of a spray tan. They have my color on file, so I can waltz in and leave with exactly what I want. And the color they use actually smells great! Above all, they value the customer. I confused an appointment time once when the owner was there, and instead of making me wait for an hour, made an effort to squeeze me in earlier. I have nothing to compare it to, but it was all on the up'n'up. I've done the tan-in-a-can and the stuff seems fairly similar, though much less orange and much less of that tan-smell. I needed a quick fix for my ghostly tanlines for my cousin's wedding, and this really looked great - no streaks, no orange palms, no awkward elbow tan. People either said nothing to me [I prompted a few friends and they were super curious because it looked good], or said, "Wow, you look tan". It's only $30, you walk in [with appointment], get into some paper garment/shower cap and stand on paper while the technician sprays you. You can go dark or glowing. I told her I didn't want to be orange, which some people prefer [?]. She was very good about keeping the chatter going so it wasn't awkward standing naked in front of this woman I just met [Tina?]. I noticed there was a lot of leg pigment, even after a few days. Maybe less leg tan next time. I'd also consider moving the underwear to avoid the lines, and to do the under-the-booty-cheek area you miss with a natural tan, too. They will also spray your face if you'd like. I did. Whole process takes about 20 minutes and then you can't shower for 10 hours. Clothes get a little dyed, but because it is vegetable-based, it washes out [just don't leave it for more than a week]. Exfoliate before going. We learned it's okay for pregnant women, too, since it is vegetable-based. Must moisturize daily. I was good about this the first half of the week. Place is on the second floor of a random building on Howard. Parking is metered. Waiting area is small. Go up the stairs and look for the suite. It wore off in about a week+. I don't look splotchy, but I can see the difference. Did make the roots of some hair follicles darker-which I didn't like. read more

I've never had a spray tan before, although there was a time I used bottled tans. I had no idea what to expect but Yelpers led me to this "hole in the wall". Its super tiny, so yes, they could use a bit more space but I'm willing to sacrifice if it means the prices can remain so reasonable. The spray-tanner was totally knowledgeable and suggested a great color for me. I did not have any weird streaking. The spray-tanner faded the tan into my feet and hands, which looked slightly unnatural but if you've ever used bottle tan and seen the effects of tanned hands and feet, I suppose you'll know why it is done this way. They provide disposable thongs or panties and apparently everyone goes topless. I preferred it that way, but previous Yelpers said they had disposable bras also. In any event, I felt totally comfortable with the spray tanner. She was very professional and personable. The tan was at its darkest the day after and looked perfect for 4-5 days. It started to fade somewhat patchy after about 8 days but I don't see that as a reflection on the salon --- just the nature of a spray tan. I'll definitely be back! read more

Ok! At first my tan looked amazing!! And the staff was super nice and it was reasonably priced....... But the next day, I had to go to work and I have a job where I am constantly wearing/changing gloves and washing my hands. At the end of my shift, my arms were orange and my hands were ghost white! it was terrible!! I was also not able to workout with tan because it streaks if you sweat - also wearing a sports bra and workout pants is a definite NO - the tan comes off on clothes, sheets, or whatever! Long story short......I ended up in the shower for like 30 minutes trying to rub my tan off with exfoliant. If you are not active at all and don't work in a profession where gloves are required - go for it! But......if you like to workout and prefer to keep your clothes their normal color - skip this place and try a tanning booth or just lay out! It's more trouble than it's worth! read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Eyelashes, omg eyelashes!! The one part of my face that changes everything. I love my makeup, I love my foundation, bronzer, eyeliner, but I especially love my mascara. Except... I can't wear any of it to bed, and often times I'm too lazy to put most of it on. Here is where eyelash extensions come in. You can go to bed with them on, wake up with them on, shower, swim, workout, anything and everything and they are on! Literally, the best invention ever. I have had them done a few times, first few sessions were amazing (but that studio had closed unfortunately) So I had to find a new place when I lived in So.Cal and omg my last time was an awful experience! Truly, awful. But we won't talk about that. Christmas and New Years was coming up, and I was spending a week in Tahoe with a group of friends. I knew we'd be hanging out all day and night and I knew I wouldn't have much time to get ready so I wanted some eyelashes to simplify my daily routine. I yelped several places and found "Natural Bronzing" I called the number, left a message, and Sharon called me back the next day. It was easy breezy booking an appointment. Day of... found the super cute salon and was greeted by a friendly receptionist and met fabulous Miss Maggie. She is SO sweet and patient and kind and friendly. And she knew to be extra gentle with me (based on my last experience) and she really took her time in perfecting my eyelashes. I was beyond thrilled with how they turned out! Except, I must have been a little too rough on them the first day and a few had come out over night. I texted the studio and they were extremely accommodating! They squeezed me in between appointments, to fill in the missing lashes, and at NO COST. I still left a small tip, and I was so grateful and even MORE thrilled with how they looked. It's been over three weeks and almost all of my lashes are STILL ON and they look gorgeous still. I am like the happiest customer on the planet. And now I am addicted. Which is fine, because the prices are super reasonable. Totally recommend Natural Bronzing for eyelash extensions!! And I see such a good reviews for their spray tans, I'm going to try that out soon too. *happiness* read more

This place is FANTISTIC!!! I went just by the reviews on yelp, and I must agree with other posters, this place is the real deal! Went in for a full body spray, I was a bridesmaid in a wedding. Another of the bridesmaids went with me and we were both very pleased. It's been almost a week and my tan looks great! No streaking and most importantly it looks very natural. The place is very clean, they explain the way to maintain your tan and keep it looking its best. Great customer service. One bit of advice- make sure to wear lose comfy clothing, and when you leave either no bra or wear a strapless one. Happy tanning!! read more

Went to Natural Bronzing to be tanned for a Easter Sunday BBQ that I was going to. I was very impressed with the building they are in and the area is pretty safe. The inside of the office is very classy and inviting. I also was very impressed with the woman who sprayed me. ( I think her name was Terri) My experience here was very comfortable. She was very professional and seemed to be very knowledgeable about what she was doing and she kept up conversation so I wouldnt be so nervous. Also, the product lasted about a week and a half because I followed the directions they gave me. Moisturize! Will definetly go back again. Great price at $35 for a session. 5 stars! read more

This place is top notch! the BEST... excellent! wonderful! awesome!..oh okay...you get the point :) But really, it is no longer a little shop, it is now a really nice full sized spa-like facility. They take care of everything and make you feel very comfortable. They give you foot coverings, and apply the lotion to your palms, so you don't make a mess. They take their time to spray you down and have a friendly chat with you all the while..(this helps since it can be a little awkward to be topless in front of someone. Fantastic! Natural, light tan! I was so scared to get this done as I am very pale. I had a holiday to Hawaii coming up and I just wanted a light glow so I got a pale golden tan a couple of shades darker than my skin colour. I LOVED it! The girl who sprayed me was very nice and sensitive to my needs. The colour lasted my whole vacation....I am home and I still look a little sun kissed (though I avoided getting any sun damage on my holiday). The colour is super natural; not orange atall and my skin felt moisturised and looked smooth and even. As with any fake tan, it also darkens any freckles you might have...not sure how to avoid this. The price is also great. it is wonderful to have a place which is dedicated to doing spray tan alone. 10 STARS *********** read more
