I sent an email and formal letter in January 2026 regarding an issue with a purchase and did not hear back until February 17, 2026, when Anthony, who said he was the owner, called me. He asked what happened (even though it was already outlined in the letter and email clearly). I explained everything again and he said he would look into it and figure something out and get back to me. We are now going I to April (3 months) and I have not heard back at all. I went there back in April to get a suntan. I was never informed on how to use the machine. The manager told me nine minutes for my first time ever going to a tanning salon. I would give this place 4 stars or more if they kept up-to-date on changing out bulbs as needed! Several beds have needed new bulbs for MONTHS! I am not sure why they don't stay on top of this. The price is great, there is usually some sort of bed available. They also offer spray tans at a competitive price. The one other issue I have run into is that they are closed a lot before/after and during holiday weekends. The hours on yelp are not accurate. Mon-Thur they are open 12-7, last tan at 6:30. Had a spray tan done a few days before a wedding and at first I was excited and thought I'd be satisfied .. should have taken it as a warning when the lady who sprayed me said " it won't be perfect"... Super disappointed with my spray tan - I literally was not darker at all. I had no tan line. I paid for the extra "bonus" deepener/extender and I literally didn't even have a tan line anywhere except the back of my knees. I'm pretty pale to begin with and have had many spray tans before - I exfoliated prior, etc. I waited a full 24 hrs before showering, and the lady ensured me even though I didn't have any color when I left the salon it would develop in 6-9 hrs. Super sad my trip to Aruba was started off on a sad note with this. I will say, the spray tan lady was super friendly and polite but I can't possibly give a review when I didnt get a tan. Maybe the tanner was loaded wrong? Idk but made me pasty white on vacation which was really sad. read more

Been a little frustrated with some things like bulbs being out for months , waiting by the door to open when it's past opening times ,but Nadine was always so kind and great that it didn't matter . ( that's what good customer service is) Well this salon just changed ownerships and let me tell you they will need big time help here . Mercedes Cadena who answered the phone is the new owner and Rude as heck . I purchased a six month membership . Six months passed several months ago yet I was still getting charged month after month . When calling she said it will continue until you come in and end it . Hmm let me see here . I buy six months but it continues after ? That would be unlimited .In that case I would of purchased the unlimited package which is cheaper per month . If you buy six months that's just it, it should end in six months . Nope . This place just continues to charge you month after month. Not only that but after the six months is up , they start charging you $10 more on top of it month after month . So I buy six month , it doesn't end in six month and continued being charged at an ever higher rate ! She sends me the contract and it does say you will be charged until you come in and cancel and need to give a five day notice . What ? For what? It's just a creepy way of scamming people legally .She was so rude and nasty and said I was having a heart attack over it so she'll refund me . Then hung up. I called back and no answer . As I was leaving a message she answers and says take your business elsewhere . She then proceeds to send me and email and makes a snide comment that she will refund me because she doesn't want my account overdrawn . ( throwing a jab in there ) to be extra rude like I am desperate for money. Very unprofessional . It's very sad that someone can't take suggestions, I didn't say I didn't want to try their other beds as the first bed I went into was very nice . I am changing my review of this salon from 4 stars to 1 star because of how rude he was. Really disappointing because the associates working the front were so welcoming and professional. Friendly associates. The lay down bed in the front left room is nice, but the fan doesn't do much. Just went in and had the stand up bed. No fan AT ALL and the handles are bungee cords? There's cracks in the plastic. Kinda weird stand up. Maybe don't let customers use this one until it's fixed ? I am visiting my daughter this month and have not tanned since quarentine began. I lost my color that I worked on so hard to acheive because of it. I came across this wonderful little treasure a couple of weeks ago and I am just about where I was before COVID. Beds are great and the leg only machine is the best thing since sliced bread. Thingd are clean and I am not stressing over catching COVID-19. That is to say, I do my part with my mask and hand sanitizer and they do their part in keeping beds disinfected. Denis is very nice and was really helpful with finding the right package for me. I am really going to miss out when I go back home next month. I've came here several times before to get a spray tan and they've all turned out perfectly, until a month ago when my spray tan was just a disaster. The lady was nice and seemed experienced, but ended up not spraying my legs and arms evenly. I have pictures to prove it, but basically, the bottom half of my legs were not sprayed, my knees ended up looking spotty, and the bottom half of my arms were not sprayed evenly. I followed the post spray tan instructions to a tee and I was told to come back to redo it. Unfortunately, I totally wasted my time and money because I had to fly out the next day for my trip, which I had specifically gotten the spray tan for. Needles to say, I had to cover up to not show my hideous arms and legs! I will not be recommending this place to my friends anymore nor coming back in the future. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. To update my post earlier today (below). Verna (Mgr) is RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! She did apologize for not calling last week as she was supposed to, I'll give her that but that's all. She asked why I waited almost a month to let them know I got heat rash. I began to explain when she CUT ME OFF & kept repeating SEVERAL times that I waited, most businesses don't have a return policy after 30 days & there's nothing she can do. It is not necessary to cut me off & repeat yourself 3x in a row. I purchased a 2mo pkg about 1mo before the wedding. I made Katie aware several times on phone & in person about my concerns of possible heat rash. She kept saying I should be OK. When I got heat rash, I did not want to tan w/ the bulbs again. I waited a few days before the wedding to get a spray tan. The pkg cost more than a single bubl tan & spray tan. All I'm asking for is a refund of the difference, not a full refund, just the difference. I feel I'm being reasonable since I had a bad reaction to the bulbs & the spray was uneven. Verna said Katie is no longer there & if she helped me she would've never put me in the bulbs. It shouldn't matter who helped me. Everyone should be well trained. Verna was absolutely unwilling to be helpful. If she wants to get technical my 1st tan was Aug 7 & 2nd on Sep 7 - not past 30 days! ---- I don't tan well. I burn & get heat rash. But I needed to get some color since I was in my BFF's wedding. I called a few places to get pricing as this was obviously my 1st time tanning. I decided to go to Sun Trenz because they had 4.5 stars on Yelp & was offering a special ($25 for $40). When I called, I made sure to let Katie know that I'm prone to getting heat rash. She let me know that a stand-up is better than a bed & that I can go in for a shorter time than normal to see how it goes. When I came to Sun Trenz, Katie was super nice. She answered all my questions, explained the different lotions & how to work the stand-up tanner. I was only in there for 5 mins (normal for 1st time is 6-7 mins). I didn't feel like I was burned so I wasn't worried about heat rash. Katie said that she & 2 other people work there, I believe she said the Manager & the Owner. If she wasn't there, then it would be 1 of the other 2 ppl. Well, the next day, I had heat rash that lasted 2 weeks. Not as itchy as normal but lasted much longer. So I was no longer interested in using the bulbs but wanted to try a spray tan instead (I was leery of getting a spray tan in the 1st place because I was really scared of turning orange). I returned a few weeks after my 1st visit and spoke w/ a woman whose name started with an M. I waited until she got off the phone, then I explained the heat rash situation & asked if I can convert my pkg over to spray tanning. She said there wasn't anything she could do & would have to call the Owner. She said the Owner would be in at 4pm the next day & I could call or come back then. I asked if I can just get a refund then & again, there wasn't anything she could do. I asked if she would be able to call the Owner now while I was there but she said that she just tried to call but he didn't answer. She was obviously just on the phone w/ a customer (or potential) & notthe Owner. She really could have tried calling again. Anyway, I assumed that "M" was the Manager since Katie said she, the Manager & the Owner are the only ones that work there. I thought, as a Manager, why can't you do anything? Regardless, if she was a Manager or not, they should be trained on how to handle all situations. It's not good customer srvc to be told "I can't do anything. I'll have to call the Mgr. You can come back or call tomorrow" etc. I had no choice but to leave. An hour later, "M" called me to let me know she had left a message for the Owner & would call me back if she hears something. "M" called me back again & said that I would be able to come back in for 1 spray tan. The 1 tanning session & 1 spray tan was cheaper than the total I paid for a 2-mo tanning pkg. I asked her about the difference. She said that the Owner would call me on Fri to discuss that (the conversation took place on a Wed). I came back in a few hours later to get the spray tan. The person who was there was friendly & gave me pointers on what to do during & after the spray tan. She said if anything were to go wrong, it would be in the next 4 hours. I went home right away, inspected my skin & saw a few streaks. I called immediately & she told me I could just rub it to blend in. I did just that & inspected my skin again; everything seemed to be even. After 4 hours, I went to bed only to wake up to find the color in between my lower legs seemed to have rubbed off. I also had streaks in my skin where I had inspected before going to bed. The spray tan sucked. It is now Mon & I still haven't gotten a call from the Owner or Mgr. read more

Okay. This place is good. Just good. For the price, its pretty good. I have a few issues. I went here to get a 1 month unlimited tanning package, because I was going to Hawaii and I am a pasty white girl that lives in the city. Now the prices are what brought me here. All the other places in the city are almost double what this place was charging. Anyways, it was 65$ for the month. I would come here 4-6 times a week for the whole month. I got a really nice tan out of it so I am pretty happy about that. Now here are some negatives of this place that really made me want to just abandon my monthly package. -a few times, the bed that I was in (tropical bed) had left over tanning lotion/oil/stuff from the previous person. (started bringing my own cleaning materials) -came in one day and the employee had her friends cat in the room where I needed to tan just roaming around. She had to remove cat so I could tan. (I'm allergic to cats) -the tropical room looks really nice but the power cord that is behind the chair is caked with dust and who knows what else. (here is the thing...I am getting naked to lay in a bed for 15 minutes. Its hard to do that if you don't feel clean/comfortable) Once my monthly package was up, I was going to continue another week before my trip but decided against it. When I would usually got here, I was sometimes the only one there. There is plenty of time to clean and make sure the rooms are top notch. I hope this place can take come constructive criticism because if I ever need to tan again, I would give this place one more chance. read more

I looked through yelp for tanning salons because I was going to Coachella (VIP) and didn't want to spend the weekend completely sunburnt. So, I searched through the ones in the city and they all seemed to either (a) not have parking, or (b) to just not be anywhere near my place in Potrero. I spend a lot of time in the Daly City/San Bruno/South San Francisco area. I just find it easier to do stuff down there, and the parking is completely doable. Sun Trenz has a lot of amenities. The beds are nice, the rooms are well-decorated and clean, and the staff is all very kind and helpful. There's always tons of parking out front, and they stay open late on the weekdays. And I've hardly ever had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bed. My only complaint is that their weekend hours are less than desirable. They're only open from 11-3 on Sundays. But overall, Sun Trenz really came through when I needed to be tan for my VIP rock 'n roll adventure. read more

First off, the prices to tan here are so reasonable- I looked around to compare, and they had a ton of packages and specials that fit anyone's budget. Better yet, if you do their VIP package, they even let you share tans with a friend! Great deal! They have two of the Lotus beds, a stand up, a regular bed, a leg tanner and a spray tanner. I found this place when I was running some errands before leaving for a cruise to Mexico - and didn't want to go so white. Google look up had given it 4 stars so i figured it was worth a try. I called and made an appointment for in 20 minutes - I made it clear I wanted a spray tan. When I arrived, the woman checked me in and we chatted. She informed me that a few clients had "commented" (um, complained?) that the bottom sprayer wouldn't mist but but spurt. She told me to just rub it in after I got out and it would be fine. I said ok, thinking maybe my legs would get better color. I walked into the room that hold the booth and undressed. I put on my shower cap, and I applied the lotion to the usual areas - my elbows, between toes and heels. I got in the booth and read the directions, just in case - good thing I did! It sprays 4 times and you not only turn around but turn to the side and make weird Charlie's Angel poses - I have never seen this before. When sprayed it was odd because there was alot less mist than I remembered. I got out and looked in the mirror and I was a spotted mess. OH NO - I reach for a towel and there is only a HALF OF A HAND TOWEL! That's right - to wipe your whole body they give you a cut in half hand towel. I wiped as best i could . . . alot at my neck/chest and my legs. I got dressed and walked out - I told the woman "Just FYI, many of the sprayers do not mist. I was covered in spots." She looked shocked and said "Oh, ok I will call someone." I went home and packed some more. I checked out my tan in the bedroom, and my neck, chest and face where covered in tan spots. OH crap. I scrubbed my face and neck and they luckily mostly came off. Later that evening I sat down on the couch and my Hubs noticed the bottom of my feet were DARK BROWN! Then I remember there were no booties and I didn't apply the lotion to my feet b/c I didn't want to fall. This means that they do not wipe the booth down between clients - glad I didn't get anything. Sun Trenz is the best tanning salon in the Bay Area. The prices are great, I've yet to find any other place where I have unlimited monthly tans (including the leg tanner) for $50.00. That's it! A lot of other tanning salons that I have check their unlimited prices are over $100 a month. One place was $20 just for one tan! Hands down Sun Trenz has the best deals. And they are really accommodating to let you do what you want. Meaning - I like to switch it up when I go so one day I'll do the lay down, the next day I'll go in the stand up, the next day do the leg tanner and they have no problem with that. Dennis, the owner, was really helpful when I didn't know what bed I should use, what tanning package to get or what tanning lotion I should use. He was patient with me and answered ALL of my questions. The ladies of Sun Trenz are great too, their really helpful and very friendly. When you have to wait a few minutes for a bed, don't worry! I LOVE getting my airbrush tan here! Right when Jamie called me to confirm my appt I got so excited. She made sure that I exfoliate before the tan and let me know how long it would take until I can get wet again. She was so sweet and said that I can call her for any questions about the tan, and I did! She answered more of my questions patiently and in a friendly manner. Pamela greeted me at the reception counter and was so incredibly sweet. I moved away many years ago, but Pamela told me that i still had 5 lotus bed sessions from 2009. I was blown away! The fact that i got to keep those tans was amazing ( i also bought another 6 and will buy more once i use those!) The lotus bed was amazing. The customer service was top notch.
