We have a 75 pound American Pit Bull Terrier and she has very short hair. On her stomach, she is almost hairless which makes her skin vulnerable to irritations. She got this red bumpy rash on her stomach (extending down to her lower stomach) and we weren't sure what was causing it or how to cure it. We went to the vet and the only thing he could recommend was to wash it with pet-friendly, sensitive soap and water, followed by some peroxide. While that helped a little bit, it didn't solve the issue and the redness was still apparent. We could tell it bothered her also because she would lick herself more than normal. Back in October we adopted a 4-month-old rescue puppy (Lab mix) who, while sweet as sugar, had/has a medical issue that prevented us from enrolling her in "Puppy Kindergarten" as we'd planned. As with a lot of rescue pups, she also has strong separation anxiety issues & timidity/fear of a lot of everyday stuff. While our vet did give us a prescription for a mild sedative, I haven't yet filled it, & after seeing a few tv commercials for this company & reading a lot of reviews, decided to give their "Calming" product a try. She's a solid 40# now, but I first only gave her one chew just to make sure she wasn't allergic to any of the ingredients. No reactions, so the following day I gave her two & what a difference!! This product does NOT zonk the dog out at all - she behaves normally, but just with some of the lunatic edge taken off. We don't give it to her every day, as she's not a nut every day, but it definitely helps for those times when she seems overly anxious or crazy, & will be a big help until we are finally able to get her into socialization opportunities & obedience classes. My fur baby is a Shih Tzu and he suffered from hot spots and allergies. As a result, he was constantly licking and scratching. I had tried over the counter meds, allergy remedies prescribed by the Vet, it all worked as long as he was taking it. I always worried about the side effects though. He would be drowsing or nauseous and vomiting. I don't even remember how I stumbled upon this miracle cream! I looked at the reviews and thought, yeah/right this stuff will be like everything I had already tried (and we had tried TONS of stuff). Hundreds of dollars into the trash because his skin was so sensitive, it hurt him if you tried to touch it to apply anything. Under his upper legs, it was so blackened, dark, and tender. Beyond his skin returning to his puppy soft texture, he doesn't bite or lick these areas. I apply the cream nightly and the areas that he would never let me touch are clearing up. Do not do business with this company. If I could give them zero stars, I would. They do not stand by their products/returns. They require that you pay for return shipping, which is expensive. They require a tracking number, and if you can't provide it, they can't "find" your return and will not refund your money. With today's technology, this company's return procedures and policies are archaic, ineffective, expensive, and not a good business practice. Their customer service is also awful. Fox has always had pretty scratchy paws because we take her hiking a lot, but she has been having lots of problems this winter with the cold, especially with the salt on the ground. Even though we apply Musher's paw protecter on her paws they were getting super dry and developing these "pimples" for lack of a better term (see photo). I decided to try out the pawdicure pack (paw soother and paw protector). I'm super glad I did because after only 6 days of using the paw protector in the morning and the paw soother in the evening, the "pimples" are completely gone and her paws are pretty soft (not just right after application but through out the day) and the cracks from our summer/fall hikes are slowly fading away. Also one of my favorite things about the products is the option to have it in stick form. It makes it so much easier to apply and get in between the toes compared to when it is in a balm tin. Purchased the Natural Dog Company's snout soother for my elderly Schnauzer, Miles and it worked--took a while, but I did see a slight improvement in the bumps on his nose. The same was not the case with the Itchy Pup Combo Kit - Sensitive Skin / 2oz Stick. It took over 2 weeks to arrive (despite the "express" shipping), and after using the soap and stick three times a week for two weeks, I see absolutely no improvement in my younger Schnauzer's skin or her scratching/chewing. So not only did the product actually make my dog's skin condition worse, I've had a terrible experience with their customer service. I sent them an email, and received a somewhat vague response saying that I wouldn't get refunded for shipping if I sent the product back, and that I would also have to cover the shipping to send it back to them. Love their products and my dogs love them too glucosamine got my 7 year old back on her feet running and jumping. Also saved my 7 year olds nose. Always cracked and bleeding I got the snout soother and I saw progress after one use but I have to stay consistent or else it goes back to bleeding. I have only had one problem with the company and that was they gave me calming oil instead of liquid glucosamine. Not really a big deal to me I was wanting ti try out the calming oil after I tried the calming bites so kinda worked out for me anyways. I had seen this company's ads on IG probably 1,000 times before I finally bought, but it was really because my boxer's nose was in such bad shape. It was so hard that it felt like a brick on there and I can't imagine it didn't bother her. There was like this nasty crust on the tip that was so hard, you'd have to touch it to believe it. I have a French Bulldog puppy and I recently purchased the snout soother, paw soother, wrinkle balm as well as the pawtector. With the cold weather being so dry, and the snow/salt, I notice that my frenchie's nose and his little paws are getting a little dry. I ordered a package of three different products and got one of one snout soother and double of the paw soother my paw tector was not even included. I called for them to fix it and they gladly sent me the pawtector that was missing. My mistake was to order again! I ordered a skin soother and when i got my package the only thing in the box was the paw tector they sent to correct the mistake from the first order, no skin soother! I called back and Sandy had no idea what she was talking about, she said to wait a couple of days because they sent both products in two separate boxes which was not the case because the invoice for both products was in the box i received only no skin soother.
