I highly recommend this studio and would like to share my experiences: 1. Eyelashes Extensions: It's been years since last time I did eyelash extensions. My technician Erika was very skilled and patient. My natural eyelashes are thin and lack of volume. Erick was able to map them well and gave a fuller look. I have been showering everyday, and I didn't see any of the lashes fell out. Im very happy with the result. 2. Powder Brows: Katie did an amazing job to give me a new pair of eyebrows! Melanie at NOVAbrows was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was totally understanding about my situation--when my oncologist initially said no to the procedure, Melanie canceled my appointment and very kindly refunded my deposit; then, when my drug regimen changed and microblading was approved, she was able to fit me back in. She was a delight to work with, extremely professional, and did a great job on my brows. It was nice having "glam brows" for a little while before losing every one of my eyebrow hairs. I'm so glad I didn't even have to think about how I would look without eyebrows. It was a huge morale boost for me, especially not having hair on my head. it's the year 2008, a week before senior pictures. you're walking around the mall with your mom,…read morewindow shopping, laughing, bonding over auntie anne's. you're thinking 'life's good' - hold on to this feeling, you won't know it for much longer. your mom decides nows a good day for a first eyebrow wax. it will be your last. you will only allow yourself to be scorned just this once. you're young and you don't know any better and you trust your mother to have your best interests at heart. you're in and out of the salon in under five minutes. you're stunned that in so little time you are able to experience such terrible atrocities. after some blood, tears, and over a decade of self-inflicted pain via the tweezerman's that reside in your makeup bag, you decide it's time. i found jimin via instagram after literal years of researching (microblade vs. powder, prices, pre/post care, artists, etc.). her work looked amazing, the price was right, i scheduled an appointment. jimin is an angel with the hands of an artist. she will meticulously draw out every single possible style of brow she can think of in order to decide which matches your face best, a gesture i didn't need to ask her to do but appreciated so very much. i can't begin to tell you how safe you will feel in the hands of someone like jimin, who will obsess over your brows just as much as you do. after agreeing on a shape, perfecting the outline, and setting up the materials, the actual microblading begins and it seems to go by pretty quickly. jimin works fast and is very gentle. she made me as comfortable as one could possibly be while having a sharp blade dragged across their brows repeatedly. honestly though, the results are absolutely worth the mild discomfort. to go to anyone other than jimin to get your brows done would be such a disservice to yourself. during the age of the face masks, minimal (as in none) makeup prep has been my preferred form of self care. thanks to jimin, i can continue to do absolutely nothing to my face prior to leaving my home and STILL have brows that absolutely slay.
