No biggie, but when the white customer walked in, she was acknowledged and that's how I learned his name. I waited in line behind this customer while they carried on a conversation about some lawsuit. After waiting long enough, I put my items down and left. Natural Mystic is a small artistic shop tucked away in a strip of other businesses in The Highlands. I had noticed this spot often, but had never visited before last year. I'm a lover of crystals, bath stuffs, and all things witchy, so I was glad to finally pop in. The weekend turned gorgeous, which called for roaming the Highlands and its shops. I stopped by Natural Mystic and enjoyed checking out their shelves. Some visitors will enjoy their clothing and accessories, some their rows of incense and other (like me) their selection of crystals and tarot cards. Compared to other shops, prices are reasonable and similar to others in this space, and their space is quite large for the area. Service was friendly and I was greeted right away. I have always loved this store and have been going here for nearly 20 years (how is that possible!?). On my most recent trip there I was looking for a Christmas gift and the staff was super helpful and took time to explain various products to me. I have always loved shopping in there for various "natural" needs and usually end up buying way more than I anticipated, this most recent visit being no exception. I definitely keep it on my list as one of my favorite independent stores in Louisville. Whether you need incense, rocks, "hippie accoutrements" or hand blow glass, Natural Mystic is a fine stop to find all of these items and more. At my core, I'm just a touch of a hippy. I've never been into crystals, reiki, or tarot, but I find it all fun and interesting. Natural Mystic is a cute little shop catering to all those looking their slice of mysticism (or maybe just looking for a glass blown pipe). There was a separate area behind curtains where they kept their glass pipes. The prices seemed super fair, and I felt super comfortable given that It wasn't too crowded and the staff were wearing masks. Sound does carry easily in here and I could hear the staff talking about previous patrons on the store... it wasn't a big deal, but It always makes you wonder what will be said about you when you leave (but perhaps it was totally warranted from that customer). The staff was super nice and asked if we needed help. I didn't buy anything on this occasion, but definitely would come back. I did eye a few of the singing bowls! I love this store and the staff. Before the pandemic, they had a great selection of Kratom and were the only people I trusted to buy from. I had to start ordering it online, but now that stores are reopening, I can't wait to go back in weekly and pick out my strains. This is one of my favorite places I recently discovered a few months back when my family and I visited a popular restaurant in the area ( Super Chef's). We needed up walking the streets only to find all these cute stores. Natural Mystic has such an amazing collection of rocks and incense that it will blow your mind! They have Tibetan Bowls and fresh dried herbs, smudging sage and sooooo much more. They just so happen to sell the brand of incense I love yet it's hard to find locally here in Indianapolis. They sell them for only $2.00 a box so I made sure to stock up. I always try to purchase something new when visiting a store like this. Next time I do back I and planning to purchase intention candles (Healing and Prosperity) for around $10. I found the most amazing Incense holder. It's a chakra incense holder. I was also able to grab a metal incense burner to. They do have a 21 and Older section in the store for those that are looking for "smoke holders". They offer a few clothing selections as well. If I had to sum this place up is a mix between The Magic School Bus in BroadRipple and Obadiah's. read more

Natural Mystic is way more than just a smoke shop. I don't smoke or vape myself, but I still love this place. They have all kinds of hippie, bohemian things such as crystals, incense, tapestries, jewelry, clothing, posters, buttons, patches, and tons more. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The best part about this store is that the prices are cheaper than a lot of other mystic stores. Their tapestries were half the price of Earthbound's. Would definitely recommend giving Natural Mystic a stop. read more

This place rocks. All American glass mostly made by local artists right up the street. All the products sold in the store are the best quality available and the staff is the nicest and most knowledgeable in town.
