I had a great experience at Natural Nails. I had a full set done by David. The employees did not rush and took the time to get to know their customers. The salon is very clean and is conveniently located in a strip mall. Good prices in comparison to other salons in the area. The wait time was very short. I have mixed feelings about this salon. On the positive side, David gives a very good pedicure. He speaks English very well, is focused, polite and considerate. The downside is that many of the other staff talk with each other, loudly in Vietnamese , making frequent jokes. Sometimes it appears that they may be laughing at customers. In my opinion, the salon management should limit the chatter among staff in order to improve the ambience for customers. read more

DO NOT GO TO THE GIRL WITH THE MOON TATTOO BEHIND HER EAR. This whole place is a mess. First of all I sit down in the chair and the girl starts my pedicure. I tell her upfront that I would like designs too. She starts the pedicure and realizes I have a normal color and not gel and tells me she can only do designs with gel and it will be another $5. I tell her that's not at all true as she is the one who did my pedicure last time (also Ive gotten this once a week since I was 14 and am well aware how a pedicure works lol). Once she realizes she cannot get an up-sale she is rude the entire time and trying to pick arguments. She also skipped multiple steps of the pedicure and rushed it so she could finish. I always tip and have come here multiple times but at this point I'm thinking "this is the first time in my life I'm not going to tip". Fast forward to the painting part and my pedicure looks a mess. She has made several mistakes and the design she did was messy and rushed. She even attached jewels and took them off leaving the polish all chipped. When I tried to nicely say "I don't think that looks quite right", she blamed me for saying I think the design should incorporate the color black. That wasn't the issue, the issue was she was trying to cover chipped polish with globs of glitter. After a small disagreement, she decides to re-do the design. After it looking halfway decent, I go to the driers and expect the same $35 that I always pay, but the bill comes back for $5 more. Now I know its not a lot, but the girl was pushy and I knew from the start she was going to screw me over. I pulled up my mobile banking app and showed past (recent) transactions and politely requested they charge me the same as they always did. At this point the girl is livid. Telling me to get out and calling me cheap. She's yelling saying I'm cheap and I was charged incorrectly last time, when she is the one who charged me!! Anyways, as she's yelling the manager "Kai" steps in and corrects the price. In hindsight, I really shouldn't have paid at all because the whole experience was so terrible and she missed half the steps of the pedicure, so much so that the polish started chipping the next day. It was the girl who had the moon tattoo behind her ear, who later revealed she actually wasn't even a nail tech and was just "helping out the family". Which explains why half the steps were missing. While I liked coming to Kai, I definitely will no longer come here. If I wanted to pay $40 for a bad pedicure that chips immediately and also doesn't make my feet feel much smoother, I'll go literally anywhere else. read more

Walked in this month during lunch break to get a gel fill in. They were very friendly and prompt. Did a great job. I wouldn't recommend this service during lunch break at this location. Not giving a 5 star because the technician was working on my nails and a very rude arrogant lady walks in wanting him to do her pedicure. She couldn't wait fir him to finish my nails. He looked baffled. He explained to another technician how to finish my nails while he took that customer. That's not right at all! He kept looking and watching as she did my nails. This is my favorite salon in Chapel Hill. They can always get me in quickly even without an appointment. I just got an acrylic manicure from David and he did an exeptional job! It was one of the best I've ever gotten. He really took his time to make sure my nails were the length and shape I wanted. I was extremely pleased and will be back! read more

I really enjoyed this nail salon. Went with my mom and sisters and we all had a great experience. Have been back since and received great service again. Great polish selection, both gel and regular colors. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. My gel manicure stayed on the longest I have ever had. And I am pretty hard on a manicure. One of the best parts is that they will do mani and pedi simultaneously, which I have had a hard time finding in this area. Who has time to spend hours at the nail salon?! This is by far the best salon I have been to in the Durham/chapel hill area. read more

New in town and tried this place on a whim. Friendly staff. Booked a pedicure appointment for myself and daughter. They were very nice. Seated right away, newer massage chairs and pretty tubs. Asked if we wanted manicures too. They did shellac on my nails while I was getting my pedicure. Very nice job on both. They even gave my daughter nail art on her toes. Giant TVs were tuned to the World Cup. Curious what they watch normally. Shellac lasted two weeks with no chips and no peeling. Will be going back, but will spring for the callus removal next time - my feet were not quite as smooth as I usually like, but they were in tough shape to start. read more

Okay so a while back me and my family member went here had a reservation. We had to wait 30 minutes to finally get started. I went first and it took about an hour. Then the guy ran off and came back 30 minutes later to do my relatives nail. It was very hot and stuffy and smelled gross. They never asked us if we were good and no small talk. But had plenty of time to talk to each other. They let us sit at the crowded drying station for 5 min and then told us to basically leave. "you pay and go," they said. So we did. And my relative wrote a yelp review saying all of this. Soon after she got a call in an Asian accent saying, "you take down review. You get no money nails." My relative being scared af took it down. As you probably know yelp does not show phone number, so they probably tracked my relative down when we made the appointment to get her phone number. We were really shook and will never go there again. read more

Went with my mom for mani/pedi. Do not like the push for added services when you sit down. Plus they didn't even massage my mom's feet during pedicure...I guess we needed to pay more for that. Plus this is the only salon where they did not ask us to wash our hands mid manicure....and did our manicures in pedicure chair...not the most comfortable for the client. I had nail dust under my finger nails...I had to ask them to clean it. read more

Please do not waste your money or sacrifice your dignity by having your nails done here. I was a walk in, greeted very nicely, but the good stopped there. The technician was haughty, made my fingers bleed when he filed my nails and gooped on the polish so thick it had to smudge. He never asked me what I wanted or what shape nail. He was very condescending and rushed through the acrylic fill-in. I ended up with misshapen nails that were 3 different lengths. Complete and utter waste of time and money! New and fabulous. Can be very busy, depending on time and day-quality of work isn't affected. I do my best to go when there is only one or two others. Pedicure area is in the back of the saloon, very peaceful and relaxing. I have had the herbal rose and stress/eucalyptus treatment - worth the price, these include a very nice stone massage. They use disposable liners and keep a very clean area. Nail polish colors are ample, they have OPI which is my favorite. I've yet to have a manicure or get gel nails, I'm remodeling-when I'm finished with my project I will. I have had brows waxed, they were shaped very nicely. I return every two weeks. The massage chairs are fab., I never mind if they let me soak for extra time and let me air dry- though they do have drying machines. I'm glad to have a location close to home. I do tip 15-20% depending on cash in hand, I appreciate the cleanliness and quality. My only complaint are inconsiderate clients/individuals who insist on using their cell phones with sound on, takes away from the relaxing atmosphere - ladies turn your phone sounds off ... I left the salon extremely dissatisfied. I went in for a full acrylic set and a pedicure at 5 pm on a Wednesday. The guy doing my pedicure dug into the cuticles to the point that I was in pain. They also worked on my nails while I was in the pedicure chair. While I appreciate having fast and efficient service, it was very uncomfortable to hold my hand across my body to be worked on. Multiple people kept bouncing around to work on me. I was asked about a dozen times if I wanted gel which I did not. They left my nails much longer than I requested and did not use the color I requested. I wanted an ombre French which I was told they couldn't do - more like they didn't want to. I ended up with white-out nails covered in a sheer layer of glitter. The girl rushed through the paint job with one thick layer so she could work on a regular customer. The sides of my nails weren't even covered. I ended up with the skin at the base of my nails rubbed raw and bleeding. I had to forcefully ask for them to take off the polish and remove the excess acrylic from under my nails. I went home and painted them myself. Do not recommend. read more

Worst nail salon ever. Gel nails 3 weeks old and I go in for a fill. Jenny files them completely off and tells me I need a new set for 75.00. I was crazed at this point seeing they were just put on 3 weeks and and I just came in for a fill. I tell her to leave them the way the are and I would go elsewhere. She then has the audacity to charge me 10.00 for taking them off. This place is terrible read more

Great pedicures. I have been going to Natural Nails for over 2 years for pedicures and they have all been very good. Have not had manicures, but have had the basic and deluxe pedicures and was very satisfied with all of them. Better than other local places I have gone, and the price is good. read more

Natural Nails are amazing!! They are precise in all aspects of gel full sets, eyebrow waxing, and pedicures. Van is especially gifted with the ability to do awesome natural looking nails while also engaging in meaningful conversation with the clients. There are never long waits to be seen.
