This past holiday season my mother decided to have some minor plastic surgery done. I won't go into…read morethe details because it will make me slightly nauseous. She chose to go to the Plastic Surgery Group. My mother's doctor was Dr. Leadbetter. He was a cheery guy wearing an Ohio State head wrap. Now for the interesting piece of trivia. Dr. Leadbetter's hobby is sculpting. Not people, stone! It kinda makes you feel better about the guy sculpting your body huh? Besides the fact that this place is the business of taking people in, chopping them up, and then sending them off, they did a good job with my mom. She is very happy with the results. Karen, the nurse who took care of my mom, has a great personality and she really bonded with my mom during her pre and post-op appointments. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was that directly after the surgery, sure they gave her a chance to wake up from the anesthesia, she was rushed to get dressed and get out. The woman just had major surgery! This angered me a little, I mean they had just cut her open! Everyone should think twice about getting plastic surgery. The healing process is hard. However, sometimes it is needed for health reasons. In either case, you'll be in good hands at this facility.

I was assured that I would not lose enough breast tissue for anyone to notice. I kept getting told i was getting a lift. Not a reduction. I secured financial responsibility and had all my visits to prepare for my surgery. On August 30th i went under the knife. Dr Steven Robinson didnt even have the decency to go and talk to my husband who was waiting for me. He called him. Very Unprofessional in my opinion. We had just spent $12,000. It would have been money well spent had he done his job and did it good. 20+ years "Dr" Robinson had been cutting into people and somehow I was the one that got butchered. My incisions were deep, crooked, he overlapped causing a crease in my skin under my arms and my left breast incision had been coming open and infected. I had to buy butterfly bandages to pull incision back together and that didn't even work. Not to mention I literally bled from my incisions for weeks. I went into surgery a DDD and came out a D....but I "didnt" get a reduction. I became very self conscious and didn't leave the house for 6 months. I had always been a big chested girl until Robinson cut into me. I had spoke to the office manager about getting some money back as all I had gotten out of this was a botched surgery and scars that will last a lifetime. (Not a lift) One of my scars (now that it's been almost 2 years) is literally 1.5" wide. I wanted a lift to feel sexy and now I'm scarred for life. I dont feel sexy i feel ugly and damaged. I couldn't wait any longer so I went to The Plastic Surgery Institue in Dayton where I got 440 cc's implants put in just to get back to a DDD. How did I get that big of implants if he didnt remove any tissue? After going back and forth with the office they refused to pay me anything. I even told the office manager about my implants. I asked how did I have to get that big of implants to get back to my size before surgery if he hadnt removed tissue. She didnt have any answer. I highly recommend you NOT have Robinson do anything for you. He obviously needs to retire! **I tried to post some pics but for some reason its not working.

I provided the new numbers/information digital bu they still refused me after driving all the way out here simply needing serious help with my skin. I understand doctors need to see proof of insurance, but she didn't at the very least even have the professionalism or decency to come out and speak to me about it, rather had the front desk shun me even though I was visibly tearful and stressed since I spent the time driving all the way out looking forward with getting help with my acne. She has an aggressive nurse who has been incredibly rude and has an arbitrary policy for late arrivals - I can't tell if it's 5 minutes or 10, but I've been in both scenarios and there is no grace period in her mind for a downtown office. It's so aggressive, I won't be back. It'll ruin your day.

Look Worse Than Before…read more Sharing my story as accurately as possible so you can make an informed decision. My friend recommended Sarah at Godiva , she said they frequently have Groupon, I've been looking for a practitioner I like, so I went. i've had Botox plenty of times in the past. My Botox doc of 6 years retired - he was consistently able to lift my brows and give me a more youthful and alert appearance. Inexperienced practitioners will spike or droop my eyelid. Most often they droop my eyelid. Sarah and another woman greeted me and we went over all this information. I said numerous times my goal was to lift my BROWS. Discussed the spikes and heavy brows if done incorrectly. Sarah asked if I wanted my 11s and forehead wrinkles softened and I said - Sure but let's not do anything that will impact the lift of my eyebrows. I want to lift my eyebrows. You are the expert. I said those exact words. Big mistake. Sarah drooped my eyelid so low they rested on my eyelashes with no ability for me to raise my eyebrows- she completely immobilized the center of my forehead. I called requesting a correction. Sarah put Botox in the upper regions of my forehead on each side. There was a minor lift of my brows for about 24 hours and then they settled back down, resting my lids on my lashes. I looked significantly WORSE AFTER Botox at Godiva than before. Sarah did not apologize at the initial correction. She did not acknowledge that the outcome was not good. She told me to rub the center of my forehead to break up the Botox that she put there - she said she put "just a fraction of what she puts in other's foreheads" she obviously didn't really hear or understand when I said "My eyes will droop. I want them to lift." I am 48, my friend that goes there is 37. Maybe Sarah doesn't really know how to deal with aging skin and hooded eyelids. Seems like something you should know. And I still had the heavy droop and had to deal with Godiva. Requested an additional correction - Godiva indicated that I needed to wait the 12 days when I saw the next provider. It was the other woman in the initial appointment. She said I remember you saying you wanted your eyebrows to raise. This is not what you want to happen (she was the only person that ever acknowledged anything). She placed more Botox in my upper forehead on each side in hopes to stimulate that lift. It did not. Waited another 12 days. Saw Sarah for this fourth visit she put Saline in the center of my forehead in about five different spots to dilute the Botox. And then Sarah said this to me "You're so lucky that you had such a strong response in the center of your head. I don't get that. And just cover up your forehead with your bangs." So that's been my experience. there was no mention of a refund or some sort of credit where I could buy skincare or something. Just because a woman is nice to you doesn't mean she didn't mess up your face. I can't believe the language Sarah used. She should definitely apologize for the outcome.

However, the way I was treated by the office was beyond unacceptable. I've been a loyal client since COVID, long before the office was even built. I've done the VIP facial membership, peels, and other services. Over the years, I've been canceled on numerous times--sometimes multiple times for the same appointment, even last minute--and I've always been understanding and flexible. On the rare occasions I've had to cancel, including last-minute due to illness, I've paid the full appointment price plus tip without complaint. While Amanda was on leave, I was booked with a newer esthetician (who I believe also handles administrative work and bookings). She performed the worst facial I've ever had--including failing to even power on the Bioloft machine. I kindly informed Renee, the owner, but still paid in full and was not even offered a replacement service. Recently, I've been dealing with serious health issues, including possible lymphoma/breast cancer. I woke up the morning of my scheduled appointment with a 103.6 fever. I immediately called, texted, and emailed the office. Rather than being met with compassion, I was met with rudeness and told I would be charged the full amount because I've had too many same-day cancellations. I even offered to come in sick to avoid the charge, which was declined. I strongly suspect the same esthetician who botched my facial was the one responding anonymously through the office text, as they avoid accountability by using no names or signatures. When I informed them I wanted to cancel my membership due to the poor treatment, they simply replied that it was 'for the best.' They then continued to antagonize me via text, even after I asked for all communication to cease. To make matters worse, they took my $150 membership credit for the month and canceled me without providing the service. After years of loyalty, it became clear they didn't value me as a client--likely because I don't fill my face with Botox and filler like their higher-paying Montgomery clientele. I also don't purchase their overpriced skincare, but I did invest in regular facials, massages with natural upgrades, and referred many new clients their way. Apparently, that loyalty meant nothing. If you're looking for a place that values relationships and treats all clients with respect--not just the ones spending big bucks--do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. She suggested that I try dermaplaning with Renee. I did and am so very happy with the results. The process can be a little intimidating (they use an instrument called a dermatome that looks like a small scalpel), but painless and well worth it. I returned to work immediately afterwards, and have received several compliments on my skin. Before leaving, I purchased a package, and will be returning monthly! BTW, Renee is awesome.....she is extremely knowledgeable and consultative.

In March, I booked another Botox visit with a Juvederm (first time) appointment. I was encouraged to get more Botox than I had ever gotten, and told my lip injection would be expertly done with wonderful results. When I got home from the appointment, I called the office to report a large knot on the inside of my lip. I was told that is normal, and it takes two weeks to see results. At Week Two, my forehead had fallen due to too much Botox - this made my eyebrows and eyelids droop. In addition, there were then several lumps in my top and bottom lips. There was no symmetry in the Cupid's bow on my top lip (an issue I specified at my appointment). I called to inform them and was told to return to the office for a touchup visit. After consulting with various aestheticians and learning there is no reversal (other than waiting for the treatments to wear off) I decided not to allow Dr. Meyers to touch my face again. No phone call, no message - they don't care that I'm unhappy; they made almost a thousand dollars. My face is completely botched and it was a hard lesson learned.
