I sat there listening to the front desk calling several other patients to reschedule their appointments last-minute, which signaled total office disarray. Making matters worse, the dentist didn't even show up to the building until 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was there for a root canal and crown consultation. After the exam, they quoted my out-of-pocket cost--after insurance--at nearly $2.500. The number felt extremely inflated, so I went to another dentist an hour later for a second opinion. Using the exact same insurance for the exact same root canal and crown, the second dentist quoted me $1,700 less than this office. It is shocking that they would try to overcharge a patient by that much. Between the blatant price-gouging and the total lack of respect for patients' time, I will never step foot in this office again. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I felt disappointed after every visit. My recent experience, I had a fractured tooth that required a crown. After the treatment I felt radiating pain through my gums, jaw and ear. I assumed my gums were just sore from the procedure. 4 days later the pain was so intense I couldn't sleep at night and started spiking a fever. The office was closed and there is not an on call line so I waited another couple of days and when I called in they told me the dentist wasn't in but gave me a prescription for antibiotics. I found a specialist willing to see me right away and advised me the severity of my situation. When I called to cancel my appt at Dr Larsen's office I was told I would be charged a fee and when I tried to explain, they hung up on me. I am beyond disappointed.

I felt no pain from the injections and no pain during the extraction itself. I honestly couldn't believe it. At one point I even asked, "Is it all done?" -- and when he said "Yes," I was so relieved I started laughing. The tooth was severely infected, and extraction was the only option, but the process was completely smooth and stress-free. I guess you have figured it out by now. :) I have found that everyone here, from the people in the front office, through the wonderful hygienist, to Dr. Malan himself, have been extremely kind, helpful, caring, and all-around great folks. I've always felt good about coming here, and I'm one of those people that, well, is not a good dental patient. Let's just leave it at that. :-) A couple of times, when I've had a bit of a dental emergency, they have bent over backwards to help me get my problem taken care of. I really really appreciate that. We do regular cleanings 3x a year, a little more than most folks but being senior citizens we want to protect our teeth and gums and avoid dentures this late in life. Dr. Ray's dental hygienist, Melissa is the best we have ever had in terms of her thoroughness and the overall treatment. Update: the root canal was quoted 2.5 hours to which you have to pay to get your crown same day (wow - should come with the procedure seeing as it's their standard process. They're not doing anything special), they quoted 2.5 hours. My new dentist had me in and out in exactly 1 hour. The crown gets placed today and it will take 15 minutes for a total of 1.25 hours vs Clovis Family dental needing 2.5 hours.

Bad: got a bill from Clovis Crossing then got a check from my insurance so I had to make another visit to give CC my insurance check. Got several calls from CC (and I keep getting them) asking to pay my bill. I never had to physically pay a bill with my previous dentist. Dentist recommended treatments that were over $100. I felt like it was a scare tactic. I didn't feel those recommendations were necessary. Hygienist numbed my whole mouth for the cleaning. Never had that done before. I was desperate to get my tooth repaired so my co-worker recommended CC. I'll probably do one more cleaning then look for another dentist.

Very quickly, they started calling to cancel my appointments until eventually I came in one time and they said sorry you've missed too many appointments and we don't want to accept you anymore as a patient. They had entirely faked all the paperwork, giving me calls and then on paper making it seem like I didn't show up. They seem to be upset that they accept certain insurances and don't wanna pay out on it. Cheap and immoral.
