I recently was in a large amount of pain from an infected jaw bone and dead molar. I went to Dr. Litano and he isolated not just the problem with that one tooth but with my entire mouth through 360 x-rays. He was very clear in explaining the problems with my jaws and teeth. I was very afraid to have the tooth removed, but because of his certainty and calmness I was able to put my health in his hands. I experienced no pain from the numbing procedure, which was surprising. The tooth extraction was not painful and was done quickly and very completely and thorough. In the same visit, he removed the toxic metal from the tooth next to the tooth that was removed, which has saved the life of that tooth. He also put in a ceramic implant where the tooth was removed, so I will have a full mouth of teeth. After doing that in the same visit, he cleaned out a cavitation in my bone So that that bone could regrow. All of this procedure was pain-free. This was a lot of work to be done at one time, and I was very surprised that there was almost no pain in the following days after the treatment. There was swelling and a bruise, but this went away very quickly using non-drug applications. I received vitamin treatment prior to the dental work and antibiotics which took away most of the horrible pain I was in before the dentist work was done. I have noticed a marked increase in energy after treatment. I am no longer sleeping all afternoon as I was before this dental work was done. My husband and I came to Dr Litano at the strong recommendation of our very aware and effective chiropractor. He recommended we have our cavitations cleaned out. Also, We both had infections in our mouth from avoiding root canals in the past. We also had some cavities that needed tending. We met Dr. Litano at a fair in Saint Petersburg and he was very friendly and professional. I asked him if it was okay not to have dental x-rays and he said yes. Then when we went to see him, he said that we did need x-rays. I said, why did you tell us one thing, then do another? He had no answer but apologized. I have to find a new dentist and wasted hours of time based upon his word which apparently isn't worth anything. His office is very lavish and huge, with at least 4 employees, and that also makes me feel like I'm paying a huge overhead. So I suppose it is all fine. But I do not recommend this office. read more

I found this office based off of reviews and was looking for a more holistic approach with dentistry. I just had surgery for an oral antral fistula in August 2023 and an implant placed that I wanted looked at. I paid $725 for the first visit for an initial exam, cone beam scan and a vitamin D test which was an insane amount in my opinion. After the consult, I was given a treatment plan for a total of $34,364.00. I was also given a referral to an oral surgeon, and a flash drive that was supposed to have the cone beam scan on it. Dr. Litano stated that he would not do surgery unless 2 mercury fillings were taken out at a charge of $3,762 on the lower left. He provided his cell phone if need be with any questions or concerns. The girls at the office were nice. I questioned the price and the diagnoses and consulted with another holistic dentist for a 2nd opinion and was given a totally different opinion and was not given the diagnoses Dr. Litano had stated; a twisted tongue, a lisp (never in my life have I had a lisp) and last was a cavity. I provided the flash drive for them to see. They had an IT specialist come in to try and open it and it would not. I called the office and told the girls and they stated that they would send a file via email. It also was not transmitting. The oral surgeon's office could not open the flash drive either when attending that appointment. I messaged Dr. Litano with my concerns but never received an answer even after calling the girls at the office asking them to let him know I had questions. When you pay that much money initially and cannot access a scan you paid for and then not receive communication regarding your concerns yet be expected to pay $34,364.00 for a treatment plan, I find it very unethical. Since getting a 2nd opinion and then seeing an oral surgeon, I am so grateful to have not proceeded with this office; very disappointing to say the least. Dr. Litano was available, when no one else was for an emergency, of a loose bridge. It was a Friday, and very few dentists are open on Fridays in Sarasota and the Saint Pete area. Dr. Litano called me shortly after I left a phone message. He was able to schedule me the next day, which was a Saturday. He took me in Saturday morning, for which I was grateful. He gave me an evaluation, was very kind and excellent with chair side manners. His associate was also supportive throughout the evaluation. I would highly recommend, especially if you're looking for alternative dental treatments and a dentist who is compassionate. I would like to add that Dr. Litano was very available. Dr Litano has been AMAZING! I suffer from severe Dental phobia from childhood trauma. After my initial exam and cleaning, I was very comfortable with the staff and the Dr. Eventually I had an issue with and old crown from another Dentist. I'm happy to say I didn't need to be sedated for any of the procedures. They were very comforting and before I knew it, the procedure was over. Proceed with caution. I went to get a second opinion about some work another dentist suggested. What appealed to me was the 'natural' and 'healthy' approach promoted. I'm familiar with some protocols...e.g. remove mercury fillings, minimize radiation etc. Instead what was presented was a recommendation for over $8k worth of work, including surgery. Keep in mind, I'm experiencing NO problems. And removal of my mercury filling did not even come up in discussion. And extensive X-rays were performed. While the dentist is nice - the work seemed geared toward as many procedures focused on profit versus health. Unfortunate. read more
