When I called to talk to them there was no sincerity just pay it or cancel it. They wouldn't even work with me to lower the cost of the stick to cover the error to keep the sale or the customer, was told "I go out of business if i did that". Cancelled the order and paid less at Canadian Tire in the end.

Ten minutes into the game the sole of the shoes started to fall apart (attempted to add picture, but conveniently rejected by server) and I had to stop playing. On a closer inspection of the shoes I found a label on the inside stating that the shoes were manufactured in 2011, ... yeap, 12 years ago, so no wonder the sole was all brittle and broke apart. I went to the store on Saturday, October 21, 2023 to return the shoes and get my money back and I was told that I can only receive an in-store credit or a replacement. I paid real money on my shoes and therefore I want real money in return. I do not need anything else from your store and definitely not another pair of cleats from a store that sells old/ancient merchandise. Moreover, at the time of buying the shoes I was not informed about your store policies and the receipt does not include any information regarding returns. So practically you misinformed the client by withholding information at the time of selling the goods. Since this is the only reply I got from the store (customer rep talked to the manager), which seems to contravene with the Sale of Goods Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. S.1 with respect to private businesses being obliged to provide full return for defective products, I reported the issue to Consumer Protection Ontario (Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery) and to Better Business Bureau. And since I missed a soccer game that costs me $15/week and wasted gas (~$5) driving for nothing to your store today, I asked to get reimbursement for these, too. I truly hope to receive my money back soon, as I will definitely take this to a media and legal level if needed. I am also pretty sure Umbro might want to hear about how your business devalues their brand, which is next on my list this week. Business like this should not exist in Ontario.

I said "good morning" and all she did was turn away from me to a work colleague and starts talking about a text she got from someone...? It's early so I ignore the little snot and keep going. After 10 minutes of looking at work out gear I head to the washroom. As I'm walking up to the gents I hear a "need a key", I look around and see 2 supervisors standing bitching about a customer. The guy looks at me again and says "yeah BUD, you need a KEY!" I respond "thanks where do I find the..." I get completely cut off as he, without looking at me says "pro shop" (clearly very annoyed)! At this point I've already decided that I will NEVER set foot in this retail outlet again. I use the washroom and return the key. As I'm walking out I say to said Snot "have a good day" to which she loudly responds..... "YIP"! Holy Shit!? As I sit in the parking lot writing this I'm still in shock at how I was treated! Never will National Sports get another dime from me!

However, upon entering the store, several sales people greeted us with big smiles and got right to work on our requests. They took my son and I aside individually and took our foot size, asked our level of ability and walked us through the equipment and fitting. I was amazed at the expertise!! Well done Select Sports! Great Customer service! You may find a better price elsewhere ( and you may not, because I found the pricing very reasonable) but the expert customer service was worth every penny!
