We were very disappointed with his work and cannot recommend. The estimate was provided after…read moreStuart came to our home to view the layout, etc. He was one of the lowest estimates we received; by around $100, and went with him because of the cost and we also knew someone who had hired him several years prior and complimented his woodworking. He cut several baseboards too long, and kicked them forcefully into place, causing corners to split. He said during the estimate he would angle edges, he didn't do this and in the middle of the job, when reminded, he angled some edges, and not others. He seemed frustrated for at least 1/2 of the job, complaining about our layout, known at time of estimate. There were sharp nails left sticking out of the baseboard, and multiple nail holes that were not caulked, so are very visible. Prominent corners were left with gaps. He chipped the door casing in several areas and did not rectify it. Several corners were not matched up/aligned. He smeared paint from the baseboard painting on the floor, quite a few areas were left dirty. He scratched some of our walls putting the longer baseboard pieces in, leaving white marks on our darker paint (very noticeable,) white paint drops were left on our flooring and wall from baseboard painting. He locked himself out the 2nd day, causing interruption of an important work meeting, which he was informed about ahead of time. The top baseboard caulking was inconsistent, and nails, dust and other debris were left at the end of the job, easily scratching our new hardwood floors and left out for our pet to walk through and us to clean up. He did not initiate a final walkthrough and rushed us when we initiated one. We paid him the agreed amount and a tip due to our layout. After reviewing the work again when he left, we saw many areas of subpar work. He came out later that week to correct what we pointed out, it was better, but nowhere near quality work. We were considering staining toe board and he brought over some stains he had for us to try, that was nice of him. We had beautiful new hardwood floors and instead of the baseboards finishing and upgrading the look it did the opposite. Overall, we were very upset with his lack of quality work and had to hire another contractor to redo unacceptable work. Absolutely cannot recommend.

Being a single woman, it's common to feel like you're being talked down to by contractors, but that was never the case with these guys. I felt very comfortable with Steve, the guy who comes out to quote jobs, from day one. Once the work began, I met Casey, Steve's son, and their great crew of guys. Casey was just as wonderful as Steve, and their crew of guys were friendly and hard-working. They were very efficient and finished the work at my house pretty quickly, but you would never know how quickly based on the quality of the job and the way they left my property. They left my place looking so much better than before they were here and my patio looks amazing! My only regret is not hiring them to work on the front of my house as well, as the front now pales in comparison to the back! I would not hesitate to recommend or to hire these guys again. I mulled over the thought of ripping out the old fence and building a new one (how hard could it really be?), then I realized how much labor would be involved. I also have a dog, so fence down time was a factor here. A couple of neighbors had Statewide install a fence for them. We were luckily enough to be able to see their work before giving them a jingle. The initial quoting process was pretty easy. The consultant came out and measured the lot. He then gave us options with regard to materials and layout. He also gave us ballpark dollar and time estimates based on our selections. This quote took place toward the middle of 2020, so lumber was already a little more expensive...and there was a longer wait time for it. We decided to go with Statewide based on reviews that we read, the work they did on neighborhood fencing as well as their professionalism and courtesy. Yeah, they're expensive, but they build the fences from scratch based on your exact specifications. Statewide came out the week before Christmas 2020 and installed the fence. I was very impressed with the quality of the build as well as the cleanup after the job. The work crew was professional and dedicated to completing the job with quality in mind. I truly appreciate the work they did, especially during the holidays when the temperatures were consistently cold. If you're in the market for a fence, I'd recommend giving Statewide a call. Like I said, they're a little more on the pricey side, but the quality of their work is fantastic. This is one of those cases where you're going to get what you pay for. Their quote for our house…read morebased on square footage was in the middle of the three quotes I had gotten, but their ratings and reviews pushed me to give them the business. They were hired for all air vents and a dryer cleanout on a 2,000 sq. ft. house, and particularly a bad smell coming in the laundry room. On the day of the cleaning Chris and Lee arrived during the agreed upon time window. I showed Lee around the house to the various vents and asked questions about the places I couldn't fully clear a path to the vent. The house's vents hadn't been cleaned during the time I've owned the place so it needed significant work. The same applied for the dryer. The cleaning took roughly 3 hours. I think they did a good job and made sure to take care of cleaning any messes their work caused. The one exception was the dryer blow-out which was left under the outdoor vent. My single gripe was that the final price ended up $100 over the original quote without discussion. However, it was clear that they had a lot of work to do that couldn't have been known without taking a look at things.
