This place serves it's exact purpose: quick, healthy, clean solid food with huge portions at the right price. I got one of the bowls for lunch and it's going to be my lunch and dinner. A tazooooon of avocados. The dressing, kale and tofu were really good. The quinoa needed to be cooked a little bit better. Good, not plain and is flavorful. It's the right price at like 15 bucks, especially for the healing portions. Around here, like the Cuban place across the street or different Thai joints it's more like 20, 22 for much less food. I don't really know another place within 10 blocks that does this at all, much less as well. Also the people here were really nice. I asked for a substitution and they were great about it. The space is small and only seats about 10 people, but I think this functions more as a take-out space than a dine-in space. The first time I dropped in, I was offered water, but I was not offered it the second time. I've tried the New Yorker panini ($13.50) and Wild Wild West wrap ($11.95). Both dishes came with bland, healthy-tasting chips and a slice of grapefruit. I thought the portion sizes were very generous, with the overflow leaning toward the messy side. I really enjoyed the New Yorker panini. The steak was juicy, the veggies complemented the dish, and the bread wasn't burnt. I would have preferred a touch more flavoring on the steak, but if was so filling! For the Wild Wild West wrap, the chicken was on the dry side, but the sauce was able to compensate. This place has great food but everything here is overpriced. For almost $16, one would think their salmon wrap would come with sweet potato fries or something, and it does not. They throw in unbagged chips and a grapefruit slice. The same goes for the salmon burger ($20). I recently placed an order with them through seamless (they charge a delivery fee) and they ran out of salmon burgers, so called me to see if the wrap was okay. The wrap was fine. What wasn't fine is that they did not update the price, and when I called them to do so, the manager himself stated that these two are the same price. He knew this wasn't the case and when I had him read the prices back to me, he then tried to say they were incorrect and should have been the same. The brown rice and spinach were cooked well You can place your order online and pick it up or they deliver. They have protein shakes and several options. The two women at the counter are friendly and welcoming. Con's How can a place that is health conscious not have the nutritional information on the menu, or even on the website?. They offer a generic nutritional statement, but I could have found that elsewhere or on my fitness app. One of the male workers had a horrible attitude when I made an inquiry about something on the menu and passed me off the the lady at the front counter. They are a bit expensive. A protein shake was $5 with an additional .75 per additive (banana, strawberry or peanut butter). I ordered Grilled Tilapia with brown rice and spinach and that was $17. The Grilled Tilapia was not seasoned well and didnt have much flavor to it at all. Took approx 15-20 minutes of waiting time All and all, its a wonderful alternative for a healthy food option, but the customer service could use an energy boost. Have frequented this establishment several times, the most recent time I ordered to take out and was very happy with my food selection. Had the brown rice bowl with veggies, and salmon. I was happy to be able to substitute a vegetable for a more favorable one. Each time I've been there the space is empty as I walk in after "normal" lunch hours and the staff is on their game taking your order while handling other tasks. Healthy and delicious, their food is always consistent. .5 off because they are constantly out of sweet potato fries, which is not necessarily their fault but I'm just not a huge fan of their baked sweet potatoes. Another .5 off because they are more expensive only Delivery.com than when you order in store (they charge the price after tax in store, online). Despite these flaws, I'd round up to 4 stars rather than round down to 3 because the food good and fresh, delivery is relatively punctual and the service is great. I went to eat at the Nature's grill Smith st location today. Luckily for me after I ordered my food I stayed and watched the cooks make my food. I was horrified and angry at lack of sanitary and overall food safety of the workers. Major cross contamination, cooks using no gloves sticking their hands into a box of raw chicken then touching utensils and other food prep. Another cook shaping a raw burger with hands no gloves. Sick stuff, were is the managers. Do yourself a favor do not eat at this place, health department please visit this location between 11am-1130. I told the cashier I wanted my money back at first she said no, then I quickly convinced her to refund my money after she witness the cross contamination. I have this uncanny ability to zero in on the most unhealthy item on any menu, usually within seconds. I call it, "deciding what to order." It took a bit longer at Nature's Grill because: 1. They seem to be very health-conscious (ugh). 2. The menu is humongous. I was thinking bison burger for a while, but then I saw the Nature's Grill Combo Wrap. This thing is filled with both grilled chicken AND bison, turkey "bacon," cheddar, and BBQ sauce. Obviously it's really good for you, and it turned out to be quite tasty as well. And ENORMOUS,* especially for $8.50. I had to take half of it home, although eating have of her Chicken Lover Panini (equally tasty) might have had something to do with that. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by Nature's Grill. Healthy-eating isn't really my thing, but everything we ate was fresh and delicious (including the guacamole). I had the Blackened chicken on a jalapeño wrap with sweet potato fries. The fries are crunchy & sweet (tempura style or something), the wrap was packed tightly and made sweet love to my taste buds for 10 minutes. Had a lil pickled cucumbers on the side, which I liked surprisingly seeing how I loathe pickles. Prior to arriving there, I had joked about there being cheesecake because I felt like I deserved a reward for all the sweat I dropped off at the gym. Low and behold, there was! I didn't get it though because carrot cake steals my heart something fierce, I convinced my GF to get a slice for us. This isn't made at Nature's, & they told us it was sugar free but when I tell you D.I.V.I.N.E. S.U.B.L.I.M.E., PLEASE BELIEVE ME!!!! I came here with 2 other people (I suggested it because it's supposed to have more healthy options than bare burger and chipotle) yesterday at around 3pm. We were seated and given their incredibly long / crowded menu. The waiter came to us about 4 times in the span of about 15 minutes while we were clearly still deciding to ask us if we were ready. My friend said the first time he asked and we said we were still deciding he rolled his eyes and sighed. Later my sister and her 3 small kids joined us, just as we were served our food, and another waiter started taking care of us. This was unplanned. When we got the check gratuity was already included (not suggested - but included). He also did not bring us back our change but assumed he was meant to keep it. The food, which I think is the most important part of a restaurant, was a miss for nearly everyone at the table. I got the balsamic salmon salad - which came with sprouts, 4 cucumbers, 4 cherry tomatoes, and lettuce with the dressing on the side. While I was happy they didn't add my dressing without me specifying them put it on the side, the dish was pretty plain. My mom got the hawaiian hula? wrap, which came with a side of chips (see pics). She said it was dry and boring and was only able to eat it by adding my dressing to her wrap. My friend got a salad and said it was just okay. My sister got her sons the tuna sandwich (her son hated it and she tried some and said the tuna was not tasty at all.) She got her other son the pizza which was just a flatbread (not a dough) with lots of cheese. Of course anything smothered with cheese would taste somewhat okay but it was definitely overpriced and pretty plain). She got her youngest and herself a side of sweet potato fries - half of the fries were left over when they were finished because it just wasn't that great. Yeah, I'm really surprised this place is still holding up with the attitude of the server, lousy decor and even lousier food. I'll never eat here again or recommend anyone. OK, I am done with this place. Food is ok, but they seem to be on a mission to maximize trash production and I am not going to contribute going forward. I ordered a soup and the waitress used a paper take-out container (instead of a metal ladle) to get the soup out of the pan and into my bowl. When I asked her about this, she explained that she needed to do that to get the portion right. ??? WTF? Are they truly unable to just use a ladle for serving soup? Is that a skill that somehow got lost over the centuries? I ordered a juice and of course, it came in a plastic container and with a straw that I did not ask for. Prophylactically (based on past experience) I asked for the cream not to be put in a plastic container and lo and behold, they accommodated this wish and I received a metal container for it. The menu is overwhelming so I try to keep it simple. I love their juices, $4 for a small but when they make them it is SO LOUD in there. I usually have the same server and she is sweet and friendly. I highly recommend the pesto chicken in a salad. It is so flavorful. This is the kind of healthy eating that is actually satisfying. The toasted brioche bun was good but you have to put on your own mayo and mustard. The patty was packed way too tight making it tough to chew through, plus I was not impressed by the herb/spice blend in the meat. The Pico De Gallo was questionable choice on a burger because it all falls out while you eat it. I then tried to add Cholula to my burger but it was Frank's Red Hot inside the Cholula bottle (Weird). The upgrade to tempura style Sweet Potato is a must. The pickle was gross because of the excess of amount salt used in their brine. Nothing was particular good.
