Went in yesterday during TJ grocery shopping session and ordered their famous bison burger. It didn't completely won me over. Felt like it could have used a better sauce..and more generous with it...Bun was also a little too hard for my liking...and I would have liked if they had options for cheese or avocado slices. I try (keyword: try) to eat healthy so when I heard there was a health conscious restaurant in the area, I had to see what it was all about. When we got there, we were told to sit anywhere we'd like and by the time we sat down someone was bringing water to our table. We took about 10 minutes to figure out what to order because their menu is so massive. I ended up getting the "Taste of China" which was decent enough but could have used a bit more flavor. Hubby got "The Energizer" and he enjoyed it. We shared a large smoothie which was really good. We got our food probably less than 15 minutes after we ordered. Their portions are pretty big and you get a lot for the price. I don't think think there is any place around here that you can get steak for so cheap (Please feel free to tell me otherwise) Now on to the BEST part of the meal... the SUGAR-FREE cheesecake. I was starved and searching for breakfast. Bored with my traditional spot, I decided to revisit Nature's Grill to satisfy my curiosity. What would be deemed a healthy breakfast? To my surprise, I noticed they offered sweet potato pancakes ($11) which was southern style golden sweet potato pancakes, grilled and served with 3 egg whites and lean turkey bacon. If I could give Natures Grill (cobbile hill) 4.5 stars I would. The only thing I would say negative about the restaurant is it's fairly small and on cold winters in Brooklyn the air can be overwhelming. This is my second time coming to this eatery. The first time was about a year ago. I ordered the veggie pizza and was very impressed. This time around I ordered the NY steak panini with sweet potato fries. What a treat after a great work out! We also had the carrot cake which is almost to die for. The menu is very extensive and semi overwhelming but for someone picky like me, it gives me a chance to digest what it is I'm in the mood to eat. The steak was very favorable and I couldn't be more satisfied with my meal. I was a little annoyed with the frequency of coming back to ask if we were ready to order. Kinda felt like we were being rushed. After we were done eating, I introduced myself to one of the owners Chris, that was very nice. I let him know my girlfriend and I were looking to blog and research healthy food options for urban communities. He gave great ideas and suggestions. Walking in at 9:25 to order something quick to eat and go. Look at menu for 5 minutes and then waiter comes to me after I looked at him. I say I'd like the burger..., and he immediately chimes in "just to let you know we close in 20 minutes. Can you take it to go?". I say how long will it take? He says 15 minutes. I say okay don't worry. I stand up to leave and he goes to the kitchen to check how long a single burger will take to cook and then comes back and says yeah it's going to take 15 minutes. I have been a customer at this Nature's Grill for a few years and I have always had great experiences and everything I've ever order from the menu has been fresh and delicious. I'm low-carb/keto and there are so many tasty options on the menu. They also have low-carb wraps for people who do low-carb "breads" The grilled veggie wrap is a favorite among my friends. The bison burgers are top notch and the steamed veggies with the garlic dressing are SO good. Today, I ordered in to work, which I never do and the delivery came in wrong. I called and they were amazing about correcting the problem. A+ for customer service. This place is supposedly healthy, but the portions are SOOOO HUGE, that it almost makes it un-healthy (and if you know me, I have no self control and will eat the entire plate). The menu is also SOOO huge (Californians, think Cheesecake Factory menu), it caused me a lot of stress when it was time to place my order. I had the Oh California Wrap, bowled (served over brown rice instead of wrapped), which could've and probably should've been split between two people. I quickly scanned the menu as it was my first time here, grabbed a seat, and put my order in: Oh California--it's a grilled chicken wrap with avocado, spinach, sesame seeds and "hot" sauce. It definitely wasn't love at first bite. My wrap was okay, and I expected more flavor especially with ingredients like hot sauce and avocado. I anticipated a bit of a kick--but nada. Nature's Grill is a lie. The food is just skimpy portions of dry, flavorless, frozen meat over rice or in a wrap. The only food I saw leave the kitchen that looked remotely appetizing were the juices... and really, who can get that wrong? They pose as a natural food spot, but it's just a cover for their cheapness and lack of skill in the kitchen. I recently ordered a Teriyaki Rice Bowl. Instead of the brown rice advertised it was some puffy round white rice that was dry and barely warm. There was approximately 3/4 cup of finely ground, dried out bits of vegetable and meat that had been burned in a pan without any oil or sauce. One or two bites had a hint of what might be considered a sauce, but it wasn't very sweet or teriyaki like. Their "bison" tasted like frozen liver and was dried out beyond any other meat dish I've ever eaten. And to top it off, it was a really overpriced dish. The worst part, was being able to see Bare Burger out the window, across the street, and know I could have gone there for Natural food that actually tastes good, is prepared with care, and is worth the price. I'm a decent cook, and I've eaten all over brooklyn for over 20 years. My friends are foodies and chefs. It's beyond me how a restaurant like this survives, but it's a reminder that a lot of health nuts just don't care if they are served garbage, as long as it's labelled Healthy or Natural. This place is for them! I hope they all go here, will just mean a shorter wait for the rest of us at better Natural places... like Bare Burger, right across the street. Okay I have found the best thing on the menu! It is the chicken and bison combo wrap with the bbq sauce, turkey bacon and cheddar! Amazing and everyone around me had order envy. Even strangers were asking me what it is that I ordered, I should definitely get a cut of the profits from promoting this sandwich. YUM. Since I got free double meat, half a wrap was more than enough for me and I had the other half at home. I got a side of sour cream to go with it and perfection. This will definitely be in rotation! If you're looking for a go to healthy spot.. Don't go here! First of all, as a pretty clean eater I immediately noticed many of their dishes contain mayo, sauces, added sugar and salt. I used my fitness pal and added some of the dishes in to see and they were 700-800 calories plus and atleast 60-70 carbs. However I decided to give it a try. I ordered the ahi tuna wrap and asked for no mayo or sauce. The wrap came drenched in mayo. The veggies were soggy and going bad. I thought they forgot the avocado but they didn't--The avocado was rotten and literally gray, I couldn't recognize it. Also, the portion of tuna was maybe 2-3 slices... Not an actual 5-6oz tuna steak as stated in the menu. This was def not worth the $12. read more

We've had their encyclopedia of a menu sitting in the kitchen for a few weeks and decided tonite was the night to try it. We ordered a few salads. One of us is happy & still eating and the other is writing this review. My salad wasn't terrible, just not thought out as the wife's was. A word of advice from a man that has a history with pasta - avoid the Dijon pasta salad like the plague. It's sweet. Dijon is not naturally sweet. So, I question the title & the taste. They also charge you an extra $1 on take-out to support their green initiative. Not sure how I feel about that. I do know how I feel about their exclusion of cheese on the menu - I hate it. I'd rather have the option of full-fat cheese, then flavorless, non-fat mozzarella built on fillers. Cold Oatmeal: Who would have known?! We were here for a quick brunch during the week. The server was nice and friendly and the spot was empty. When I asked about a menu item that was pictured, I got the most honest response. "That's false advertising, we don't have the yogurt bowl with granola that is pictured." Wow! So gotta give it up for that and she recommended this cold oatmeal thing. - Cold Oatmeal: This was in the quick to go cooler, but she took it out and threw on some granola. It was perfection. Healthy, tasty, refreshing. I am now on a quest for cold oatmeal recipes. - 5 eggwhite bfast sandwich: My sister got this, and the lady was like.. It's a small bfast sandwich! Um, no it's not. The sandwich is as big as her face. It was a good sandwich, but uncomfortably difficult to maneuver and eat. It was in a big tortilla pocket thing that was huge. Tasty, but easily can be split. The chicken noodle soup has spaghetti like noodles and it was great, not salty at all. I went here for brunch with a friend today, and to be honest, I wasn't impressed. The food was average at best, the place was loud, and they messed up both of our orders. I ordered the meat lover's pizza with grilled chicken, jalapeno peppers, and mozzarella cheese. What I got was a tortilla with melted cheese, a tiny bit of sauce, grilled chicken, and green peppers instead of jalapenos. It tasted pretty bland. My friend got an omelet and asked for mozzarella cheese on it, and he instead got mushrooms. The salad was good - I got the Hawaiin chicken salad. Fresh, good ingredients. However, it lacked in the stuff that made it special, e.g. the fruit, avocado, etc. It did have plenty of protein though. I also enjoyed whatever citrus sauce they put on it. I'm ok with paying higher prices for fresh, high-quality food and my tossed salad was tasty, but $3 for 1/8th cup of fresh-ish mozzarella cheese? To their credit, they gave me more when I asked, but it felt like they were trying to skimp. My husband got a to-go style cup of strawberries (just under $5) that were moldy. Again, when we asked, they got him a serving of freshly sliced strawberries. They were delicious, but why not serve those to begin with? And the disgruntled service didn't help anything. I had a chicken quesadilla (tasty chicken breast meat, fresh tomato taste with a kick of hot sauce) and a moist half of a sweet potato. My date has a salmon burger (reported to be quite tasty) and sweet potato fries. As an apology for a minor order error, we both received a tasty dessert of rice pudding--enough to enjoy, but not enough to induce guilt.
