The choppa

Down nestled down 7th Avenue is this tiny sandwich shop run by two nice folks. The front person was nice and offered suggestions. The place has a nice cafe vibe character and it's own comic book character. I visited during late afternoon around 2pm on a Saturday and was able to score a table for two. They got wooden stools and benches for maybe 8 people. I love how they have breakfast all day and some great vegetarian loaded wraps. I got the madame breakfast item and it came in a flour wrap, fava beans, cheese, and eggs with salsa with some greens with a light sauce. The wrap was pillowy soft and was filling without feeling overly unhealthy. My friend got The Choppa which is like a philly steak cheese like sando on bread. This place was recommended by a local and I'm so glad I came to eat here. I think I paid around $15 for the item and it came with a tiny salad. Kinda busy and bustling and we were advised by a local to wait but we got our food in under 10 minutes. There's seating outside but it's in the sun, so bring a hat. It's down 7th Avenue, good biking lanes nearby and some hip park for kids 5 blocks away. It turns out their sauce is really good and is sold in three local store. I would definitely pop back into this store if I'm I the area.

This is a very cute artsy cafe with 2 tables and a 4 seated bar table. While waiting for my food I noticed the superhero comic on displayed, books, and photographs for sale. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast burrito as it was filling and and flavorful. Those home fries were seasoned, best home fries I ever had. I feel like the food gives up class bodega feels.

Honestly, $11 for a fresh chicken sandwich is park slope is robbery. Not from us, from them. It is priced super low for what it's worth. I am very impressed with the crunch on that cutlet. It was hot and freshly made and fried. Bun was soft, fresh toppings! I'm blown away at this hidden gem! The place is small and a take out place. Looks like it is run by one person, which is impressive. She was friendly too when I walked in- despite her having her hands full. I will definitely be back

HALAL chicken option in Park Slope! We ordered lunch from here for pickup on a weekday. We all got the BB Sandwich. I was excited to find out that all their chicken is halal and cooked separately from other meat. The inside of the spot is small but cozy, I think about 4-5 seats and there's some outdoor seating as well. The owner was very sweet, we had to rush to make it to a meeting so she did the best she could while being cognizant of our time. The sandwich itself was good and had a fresh component to it. Unfortunately, I was only able to eat it after said meeting so it was slightly cold (at no fault of the restaurant). You can tell it was made fresh. Overall a good sandwich. I could've used a little more chicken in the sandwich to balance out the size of the bun. However, for me, the convenience of having something halal & fresh nearby is what will keep me coming back here! After our initial visit, we ordered from here again, this time delivery. We got tacos and a quesadilla and they were both really good! The tacos are a steal! Very well priced and a good portion! Will definitely be coming back here!

Burrito - I forget the actual name. But so good and flavorful.

The person that owns the restaurant was super nice and gave great recommendations. Everyone either dining in or picking up all said the food was great. The cafe is small but cozy. The decor is unique in its own way, and I'm sure reflects the owners style. The food was delish. I got the "burrito" which I went off of her recommendations. It was the perfect amount where I left full but not stuffed. Will definitely come back again for a lunch.

Good creative sandwiches. Prices are typical for Park Slope. Good, friendly service. Best to grab your sandwich and go.

We finally made it for brunch and we weren't disappointed…read more The atmosphere is friendly and reminds me of a modern day diner and all the pastries in the window by the counter makes it feel even more special. My wife had egg white and spinach omlette and I had an egg salad sandwich with tomato on brioche bread with side of macaroni salad, The portions and price were reasonable and we will be sure to come back and try their famous pancakes !

She's been coming to their place sincemit was down the street and was a really small bakery/cafe. We'd never been and came here on her suggestion. It was fantastic choice. Walking in there were plenty of free tables on a Thursday morning, and we sat far from the front door on a cold winter day. The counter displaynofmcake, cookies and pastries is really gorgeous. Cousin John's offers table service with an extensive menu with omelets, pancakes, French toast and salad. Our server was helpful and very patient with us making our selections. I chose The Berkeley omelette which was pretty good. It came with a delicious salad and fried potatoes that weren't too greasy. Our group also ordered the build your own 3 egg omelette and avocado toast with 2 eggs on top. I also wanted to taste the French toast and I ordered 1 piece. It was all very tasty and satisfying, we left feeling really good. My black coffee was very good and my wife enjoyed her latte with almond milk. The price for our meal was reasonable. I'd highly recommend Cousin John's.
