I decided to seek a visit to naturopathic doctor because my primary doctor never really listens to my issue and concerns, my primary doctor just wanted to get me in and out as fast as possible. In December 2022, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Marie Nguyen, went in with many health concern - hyperthyroidism, headache, allergic reaction and few abnormal level blood test. She listened and worked with me to come up with a nutrition diet plan, reccomended on supplements & vitamin. She reccomend to stick to a healthier diet plan, eliminating certain food and everything will be back to normal in 3-4 month, 6 month now and I can confirm these strict nutrition plan / supplement / reccomendation has gotten me back to normal level on blood test and brought my Thyroid back to normal level. In terms, of allergic reaction, I was able to narrow down what I am allegic to through lab test. Although coming here is an *out of pocket cost - not cover by insurance* and the visit is on the pricier side, it is so worth the visit to get my health back to normal. Very thankful for the knowledgeable doctors here. Highly reccomend this place if you have certain health concern and wants to narrow down to root cause. read more

Dr. Nguyen is an amazing doctor! She was the first person to really help my with my chronic fatigue and headache that had lasted a full year from a concussion. She is incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly what tests to run, and then took as much time as needed to explain everything and answer all my questions. Would definitely come see her again! Dr. Chun is also an excellent acupuncturist. I've seen multiple acupuncturists, but Dr. Chun is by far the best. She is super kind and knowledgeable and had me feeling the best I've felt in a long time. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve mental and physical well-being! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Adam Sanford. He is a great doctor. I've been a patient of Dr. Adam's for the past 2 years. He has cured my eczema with 5 easy non-steroid solutions that I purchased on Amazon. He has helped control my blood sugar levels and improved my hormone markers with food and supplements. He always offers a non pharmaceutical natural medicine solution to health care but can also write prescriptions. He is very knowledgeable in all modalities of health care. He is very calm and listens carefully. I never feel like I'm in a rush to discuss my health plan. Dr. Adam provides a video review of your lab tests explaining the numbers and offering solutions and follow up. It's part of his service. I've never had that with other doctors. I saw Dr. Sanford and his counterpart Mia, virtually only. At first I thought that I had found a good ND but I was increasingly more disappointed as time went on. I felt they were slyly asking for more virtual appointments (i.e. more money for them) whereas, I wanted to take things more slowly and thoughtfully. When I finally did get a treatment plan, it was the whole kitchen sink and very disorganized. And you guessed it, if you wanted the treatment plan sorted out, I would need more virtual appointments. read more

I've never met a more accommodating, professional and lovely office staff. Dr. Dashiell came highly recommended to help my Autistic son with his gastrointestinal issues. Dr. Dashiell has amazing bedside manner. Took her time listening to all of my concerns and my son's symptoms. She was also extremely knowledgeable on the very specific issues with Autism, diet, behaviors, and the gut-brain connection. Her care has completely turned my son's stomach issues around! After 2 yrs of pediatric gastroenterologist appts, endoscopies, drugs, and still no resolution. I started seeing Dr. Adam three months ago when I was in the thick of major burnout, fatigue, lack of motivation, and a bit of depression. I felt completely unlike myself and it was affecting how I was able to show up in my life and business. I finally decided to get help and I came to Dr. Adam Sanford. We ran tons of blood tests to see what my levels were for all kinds of things. Ultimately, he determined that I had adrenal fatigue, thyroid issues, and my cortisol/stress hormone was really high. Something else I LOVE about working with him is that in-between appointments, he has an emailing software I can login to in order to email him with any quick questions about my treatment. I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Nguyen a couple months ago. I've had horrible experiences with doctors (specifically PCP, GI and UR) over the past few years. I constantly feel rushed through the whole experience and typically regret ever coming in. Dr. Nguyen took the time to actually listen to me and have a full conversation to truly help diagnose my issues. We took some labs and came up with a plan for treatment and within a few weeks I was feeling better than I have in years! It's now been a couple months and I'm still feeling great so I felt the need to share with everyone :) I wish all doctors had the bedside manner she has with the consideration to actually listen to her patients. I was searching for a place that does quick walk in vitamin shots. They have a happy hour during the week, which was perfect!! In the past, I had only gotten b12 shots. At this place, you can get a b12 shot or you can get a mixture which was really cool. I didn't have an appointment, just waited for happy hour. I waited about 10 minutes before getting the shot. I have so much gratitude for Naturopathic Wellness Center, Dr. Sandford, and Dr. Curtin. I spent 5+ years sick, seeing various doctors who just did not understand or believe what I was going through, before finding my way to Dr. Sandford courtesy of a friend who also suffers from autoimmune disorders. Dr. Sandford has an amazing demeanor and a wealth of knowledge. He was able to diagnose me with a thyroid issue and Lyme disease. He referred me to Dr. Curtin at Holtorf Medical Group with regards to my Lyme disease, but I'm delighted that now she is also at Naturopathic Wellness. Dr. Curtin found severe levels of toxic black mold in my system, which added a nightmare of symptoms to my illness. As I wrote on my review for Holtorf Medical Group, the same applies for Naturopathic Wellness Center: I've learned that any doctor who is actually going to give you the care and attention you need will not waste their time chasing down your insurance and would rather put their resources into taking care of YOU. I personally find my wellness worth the price tag, as any/all doctors that I've seen in the past for just a copay have not had even 1% of the understanding or attention as everyone at Naturopathic Wellness Center does. Without finding Dr. Sandford and Dr. Curtin, I have no doubt that I'd still be increasingly sick, instead of starting to get better. I am so grateful for their knowledge and care. This office and its practitioners were not a good fit for me. I had a blood test taken and should have done it after fasting. I hadn't -and the doctor should have said there was no use in doing it, unless you fast. In fact, some of my levels came back high and there was no concern/ real information on why a non-fasting test result is not reliable. (I had another blood test done, after fasting and the results were vastly different.) I didn't feel the information I was getting was clear or knowledgable. On 1/3 of the interactions with the office staff - it was awkward, information wasn't clear, appointments were not easy to make, I wouldn't get a call back etc. I was not happy with the treatment or level of care. read more

I have now found another Wellness Center in Costa Mesa where so far the treatment plans have been more catered to my situation and the prices for supplements is WAY more reasonable. read more

I would not recommend this center. The staff is unprofessional and did not treat me professionally and they did not answer my questions or concerns. The front office staff was rude and racist. They ignored my concerns and did not communicate with me. I did not get call backs from this office. I am disappointed with the treatment of care provided to me and the environment of the facility. This place is so worth your money. Your health is your wealth folks and nothing feels as good as having a doctor who listens, offers treatments that work and digs deep into your health history and journey. I was an absolute mess with my gut, I had terrible gut issues with bloating, diarrhea, daily excruciating pain that made me paralyzed, etc that was ruining my life and had made me disabled pretty much. I had visited 3 GI specialists and all of them had dismissed it at "IBS" and sent me home with nothing. Then one night last summer, I was in my daily agony. I was curled up in pain and was bloated like a giant balloon. I was crying from the excruciating pain and said I can't do this anymore, I need to find someone who will listen and who will help me. I said to myself even if it doesn't work it's worth the try. So I saved up my money and made an appointment with Dr. Sandford and let me tell you he's been nothing but a miracle worker. I was so used to living in pain for years that I thought it'll be impossible to live pain free and was ready to accept even the slightest improvement to my condition, but I'm happy to report that I'm pretty much 90% better as Dr. Sandford was able to detect my IBS as SIBO and various other infections and treated me accordingly. I still visit him for follow ups and to keep improving my gut health but I have my life back and am living mostly pain/bloat. Thank you Dr. Sandford for being such a Godsend for us folks who have disorders that are regularly gaslighted by conventional "doctors." I recommend anyone who is having chronic issues with their health that are constantly dismissed or gaslighted to come to this amazing clinic and get their much deserved health back. I finally found a group of naturopaths that I love. I've gone to Dr. Sanford and Dr. Abercrombie and they both really know their stuff. They go really in depth with tons of blood/saliva tests to get to the root of any health problems you might have, I love that they take a holistic approach to health. I originally came here because a previous blood test showed my thyroid levels being a bit low. My doctor prescribed me thyroid hormones, and after some research I learned that these hormones, after extended periods of use, can completely shut down thyroid function - forever. No thanks. After a couple quick blood tests we learned that my thyroid was malfunctioning due to a latent virus I had. They put me on a combo of pharmaceuticals and vitamins/herbs/minerals and 2 months later a blood test just showed my thyroid functioning normally!! I love that they don't push a bunch of their product on you. They do have a huge collection of vitamins/herbs etc if you want to buy it from them, but they are totally fine with showing you what you need and you finding it on Amazon or elsewhere. They have an easy online appointment scheduler and are really easy to communicate with post appointment. I've exchanged countless emails with both doctors which I have never experienced before. The access is wonderful. They do not bill insurance (except the in house acupuncturist, Sarah does!) but I send my superbill in to my insurance provider (Anthem Blue Cross PPO Plus) and they reimburse me 70%). All of the blood work is, however, billed to insurance. This is a wonderful solution to a holistic look at healthcare, I feel so taken care of here and am in great health thanks to them! read more

Dr Jenny is Amazing!! I had so many problems last year- low energy mid-day, terrible periods (where I would pass out- they were so bad..lol), hair loss in a patch on my head, etc. Went to Dr J because I thought my hormones were imbalanced. Beware, this group is not what they market themselves to be. I got my first hint of this when I called to schedule an appointment. I got their voice mail and left a message. Their message said they would get back to me within 24 hours (this is the same message I got today when I got voice mail). I waited 25 hours and called them back. This time I got someone on the phone. I explained what I was looking for in a doctor and how important professionalism was to me. I told the woman on the phone that I did not want another experience with a doctor where I schedule a 10 AM appointment and I jump through hoops to be there on time only to find I'm not called in to see the doctor until 2 hours after my appointed time. I was assured this would never happen there that this was a different kind of experience. I pointed out it had already happened with the voice mail I had left the day before where they had set one expectation and got something else. She sounded a little peeved with me for bringing that up and said they return calls the next day. I suggested they change their voice message to state they would return calls the following day. In the end, she offered me a free 15 minute consult with Adam Sanford. I agreed to that because I wanted to hear his voice and see if he was yet another doctor who confused MD for "minor diety". He is so that guy! He was supposed to call me today at 12:15. I waited until 12:30 and called the office. I got a voice mail that they were at lunch. I called again at 12:45 and again got voice mail. I was very irritated, but went on my with my day. At 1:39 the doctor called. The first thing out of his mouth should have been an apology, instead he asked if it was a good time. It was not, I was driving on the freeway. He asked if I wanted to schedule for tomorrow. I said I would like to reschedule, but only if he actually called at the appointed time. He said he wasn't sure he could do that. So I told him, clearly irritated, that I'd had this conversation with his staff member that I didn't want just another doctor that couldn't manage their time and couldn't keep an appointment. He said he wasn't that guy, yet clearly he is since he was calling me an hour and a half late. I told him I believe what people do and not what they say. His response to that was that we weren't a good match. I think maybe he's a little slow. I was there within 15 seconds of receiving his phone call. I spent more time on the phone explaining professionalism and calling him out on his arrogance. He did apologize, but not until after I mentioned that I would be writing reviews. He changed his tune then really fast. Ughh, so gross. If you're looking for an actual professional doctor, keep looking. This office is not run professionally. I called the office back later and got voice mail again (see a pattern here?) and cancelled the appointment I'd previously made for next week. They take your credit card over the phone and say they bill you if you don't cancel some hours in advance. Who know's if they'll honor the voice message I left as cancellation. Now I need to go through the trouble of calling the credit card company to make sure they refuse the charge if they try to bill me for the appointment I cancelled. Once I know they're unprofessionally, I expect they'll be unprofessional in all aspects of their job. People, please don't let doctors treat you like this. Its time we all stand up and demand to be treated respectfully. read more
