This review is specifically for Dr. Fluellen's office staff--while she is an absolutely incredible…read moredoctor, I can't recommend seeing her because of multiple experiences I've had with her staff. 1) Shortly before giving birth last April, my BP was high and I was in danger of getting preeclampsia. After a routine office visit, her staff failed to call and let me know that my BP was high, and Dr. Fluellen called me the following day (Saturday AM), apologizing on their behalf and asking me to go to the ER to get checked out immediately. 2) I'm currently 11 months PP and have been struggling with PP depression; Dr Fluellen and I discussed going on medication, but she gave birth shortly after me, and has been on maternity leave ever since. Another doctor in her practice, Dr. Morikawa, prescribed me an SSRI, but failed to write it for the correct amount or provide me with any refills. I've been without medication for 3 days now, and despite calling the office multiple times, leaving messages on their machine and with their answering service, I've received no response back. At this point, I feel it would negligent to recommend seeing anyone in their practice, since both instances could have resulted in serious health repercussions on my end, and unfortunately I'll be looking for a different doctor to see from now on.

Dr. Fluellen is a wonderful doctor. She puts you at ease as soon as she meets you. She is very easy…read moreto talk to and is very caring. The staff is great. I am not a fan of the Torrance Memorial computer check in - and additional paperwork to fill out the same questionnaire(s) that you are required to do online. That's insanity to do the same thing over and over again giving the same results on paper. Most physicians at Torrance Memorial do this...so it's not based on this doctor.

I saw Dr Taylor for 2+ years and had several surgeries done by him. Unfortunately, my case is…read moreoutside of his specialty (RVE) and he advised after my last surgery that if it doesn't work, he doesn't know what else he could do for me, so I have reached the point where I need to consult with an Endo specialist surgeon(s). I really appreciate Dr Taylor's candidness, willingness to listen, and his ability to admit when something was outside of his realm of expertise. Thank you for everything you tried to fix me (and shout out to Gloriella & Natalie for all your help & support too)! As a side note, the office does do everything manually (no MyChart, email, etc) which makes things less convenient and there is usually a substantial wait for appointments, but otherwise you're in good hands!

I made an appointment for a culposcopy with Dr. Taylor after I was told it was going to be 7 months…read morebefore I could see the doctor I was referred to. I was absolutely shocked to see the facility when I walked in. It looked more like a back alley clinic. Half of the forms had handwritten places to sign and it was PACKED in a tiny room. My regular doc is at the main Providence facility, so I expected it to be similar since this is also Providence. Dr. Taylor is a butcher. I have never in my life undergone such excruciating pain during a culpo. I have 10 tattoos and a very high pain threshold and was begging him to stop. At one point, I almost passed out and his response was, "just pass out, you're on a table." When I asked how long the extreme pain would go he said "I don't know" and looked at the nurse. There was absolutely NO bedside manner or consideration of the fact that if a 40 year old woman is writhing in pain, something might be wrong. 7 hours later, I'm still in immense pain.

First of all, I'm an over 60 woman. I old school since I come from the days that women started to…read moretalk about and take ownership of their bodies. Dr Shultz and her lovely staff have treated me like a whole person. She takes the time to explain things. She will talk about menopause, sex, and in my most recent experience, the mental, physical and emotional parts of an unplanned hysterectomy. There are two other doctors in the practice and I have had an opportunity to meet them both. If you are looking for a local OB GYN that is part of Torrance Memorial group, I recommend Dr Shultz highly.

I had a really concerning experience with this doctor. After my biopsy, I was told I had a rare…read morecase involving all three CIN 1, 2, and 3, that it could potentially be cancer, and that I needed surgery. Hearing that was extremely scary and caused a lot of stress. But something didn't sit right with me, because the Pap smears I had the last three years all came back normal, so to get such an extreme abnormal result seemed odd, so I went to an oncologist at USC for a second opinion. The oncologist performed another biopsy, and those results confirmed it was only CIN 1. I was told the original interpretation was incorrect and that surgery was not necessary. The original pathology report even mentioned that the analysis was limited due to acute inflammation and thin or crushed specimens. Given that, I was surprised that the recommendation moved so quickly to surgery without more caution or a step-by-step approach. Being told I might have cancer and needed surgery, only to later find out that wasn't the case, was incredibly stressful and avoidable. I would strongly encourage anyone in a similar situation to seek a second opinion before moving forward with an invasive procedure. If you are looking for thorough care, I would not recommend seeing this doctor and going elsewhere.
