I worked with Adele beforehand to make all the arrangements as I am located in the US. She was very professional, provided full details about what would be included with the charter, and worked with me to build a custom schedule for my birthday. Communication beforehand was great, and we were blown away to find out they were offering an upgrade from the 35 ft Gagliotta to the 45 ft Tornado Express for our trip to Capri. Although I have no doubt every boat in Robbie's fleet is absolutely flawless. As expected, Rosa met us at the dock the morning of our departure and when we returned that evening to make sure we had everything we needed. The boat was absolutely gorgeous and the Captain, Eduardo, was simply the best! He was charming and engaging always making sure he stopped to show us the best places along the way and finding little coves for us to stop and swim, a waterfall, taking pictures for us at each spot, and taking us to the absolute best restaurants we ate at during our entire trip. He also made sure we had plenty of snacks and drinks throughout our trip and wanted for nothing. Little did I know that my friend had coordinated with Adele and team to make arrangements for our second trip - making sure that my favorite drinks were onboard, as well as a birthday cake, sparkler candles, a balloon and more! After returning from a stop to swim, Eduardo and his assistant surprised me by bringing out the birthday cake, balloon, and singing Happy Birthday! Once we arrived on Capri a bus took us up and we went in the Blue Grotto, which was beautiful. From there we went up to Anacapri which had the most amazing sights. They recommended a great place for lunch and we had time to ourselves for shopping and picture taking. From there we got back on the bus and went down to Capri where we were taken on lemoncello tasting, chocolate tasting and some other goodies. From there we went to the Augustus Gardens which were absolutely beautiful. A little more shopping, back on the bus to the ferry and back to mainland with wonderful memories. The ferries and large boats go to Marina Piccola. Marina Grande is where we met our captain for our boat tour to the Amalfi Coast and where a lot of other groups were launching from. The marina itself was easier to get to that I thought. The decline was gentle on our knees. The incline, heading back to our Airbnb, is actually quite kinder than I thought while I was going down and it wasn't too hard for someone like me, who isn't fit at all, to make it. Add, being in the sun, on a boat all day and I'd say it was almost easy, so no worries if you have any. There are stunning views from this marina and quite a few restaurants and bars to hang out at. The best part for me was the metal dock that you can walk out onto and see Marina Piccola. You can also look down into the crystal clear water. Just lovely!

My bag did not arrive when I landed at the Naples Airport. Max waited patiently for me while I filed paper work with the baggage office. A few days later, Lara picked up my family from Amalfi for a trip to see the ancient ruins at Paestum and visit the majestic water bufala. My mother was apprehensive about traversing one of the most dramatic coastal roads in the world with a stranger. This stranger soon became a friend. Heights and winding mountainous roads are a bit outside of Mom's comfort zone. We were all at ease with Lara as our pilot. Our first stop was Minori. We were looking for some cappuccino and pastry, and Lara knew just the place for us. Mama mia... we had the best coffee and pastry imaginable... scordatelo [forget about it!]. As we proceeded down the winding coast, Lara told us how her Father was the first driver to drive a large bus on the very route we were taking. It was clear that safe and professional driving on the Amalfi coast was in her blood. We proceeded through Salerno to the ruins at Paestum listening to anecdotes and tidbits about the areas we were passing through. Lara waited patiently as we strolled leisurely through Paestum and then took us to visit a farm where water bufala are raised. We made friends with one of the bufala and enjoyed some of the freshest and most delicious mozzarella imaginable. From there, Lara took us to Ravello and dropped us off right near the entrance to Villa Rufolo. We all had a blast that day. Our last tour with LaMax was from Positano back to Naples with Lara. Lara picked us up early and got me back to the Naples Airport exactly when I wanted to be there. Then, Lara got the rest of the group to the train station. Our early morning exit from the Amalfi coast could not have gone smoother, thanks to LaMax Tours.

The private tour was amazingggg!! Tony picked us up from our hotel in Sorrento, was very punctual, professional, and friendly. His car was well-kept, had a/c, with plenty of water available, and he was a very cautious driver (not what we were used to in Italy)!! I was quite nervous about getting car sick with the steep winding roads I had heard so much about, but Tony drove nice and slow and I didn't feel sick the entire trip (not for one minute). Was VERY happy I chose to hire a driver over using the bus system. He drove us first to Positano (to arrive and sight-see before all the crowds), then to the Amalfi Coast, and then to Ravello. On the way from one city to the next (about an hour in between each), Tony talked to us about the history of each city, along with interesting facts. He was VERY knowledgeable- really a wealth of knowledge- which he gathered not just from growing up in Italy, but from reading history books in his free time. At each city you had anywhere from 1-2 hours to get out and walk around on your own (without Tony). He was great at suggesting places to eat- so specific for anything you wanted, he clearly was VERY familiar with each city. (I.e. we wanted a cone of calamari in Amalfi, he told us to "get out, walk straight and go to the SECOND calamari place we came across on the left, not the first"). Because I was interested in purchasing some ceramic work from the area, he even stopped at one of the biggest (and nicest) ceramic stores on the way back to our hotel, after all 3 cities. Really, really awesome private tour- we loved Tony!!! I would recommend this tour to anyone, it was definitely worth the money. He definitely went out of his way to make sure the day was tailored to us and our needs, and to make sure we had the best day possible.

WOW! WOW! WOW! We're wrapping up four weeks in Europe and…read morethis was one of the highlights! We did the all day premium Capri boat tour and it was fantastic! Here are a few things you might find helpful: We were in the 8:30 departure. You're first stop is Capri where you'll be dropped off. Our return time to the marina was 1:30. So there's time to go to the top if you're smart and go right away. We went to Capri town and while the gardens were worthwhile, the high end shops were just that. And got crowded as the day progressed. Our friends went to Anacapri and took the chair lift to the top and LOVED it. In retrospect that would have been a better choice for us. Make sure you leave time to get back down because there will be lines, maybe long ones. Our group chose not to do the Blue Grotto. They do that after we return so this is something to discuss beforehand, as the time you WILL wait in line for that (1.5 hours had we done it) will cut into the magic that was ahead. Then we went around the island into the little grottos and they even took fun pictures. Then we swam! It was GORGEOUS!!! It's chilly but DO IT. The water is turquoise and truly magical. Antonio and the Captain were fabulous. They made it SO fun, adding a few surprises that I won't reveal . The time in the boat was the BEST! DO IT!!!!!!

He picked us up at the dock in Positano shortly before sunset. We had a short sunset cruise before dinner while he told us about some of the local area and we chatted about our lives. We were able to sit on the couch on the front deck of the boat (felt like celebrities!). We pulled up to the dock at Lo Scoglio as the sun went down and enjoyed a leisurely dinner there. Afterwards Roberto returned us to the dock in Positano. I would definitely recommend this experience!
