We rented the condo through AirBnb for a quick Thanksgiving vacation. The condo we used was 2 bedroom, 2 baths. The primary bedroom had a king size bed and a bathroom. The bathroom did not have a door, which was the only thing I didn't like. I enjoyed everything else about the place. It's in a great location that is literally less than a two minute walk to the beach. The check in process was easy. It's close to a lot of restaurants and attractions in the area. The unit was decorated nicely and most importantly, it was very clean. We were comfortable our entire stay, which was 4 days/3 nights. We would definitely reconsider staying in the condo we rented again. read more

We stayed here for a quick weekend trip for my sister's wedding in November. It was reasonably priced and right on the beach with easy access. The unit we stayed in was in very good condition. I would stay here again and recommend for anyone wanting a a leisurely vacation spot convenient to pretty much everything in the area. read more

I stayed with family over the weekend at Unit 2708 don't waste your time or money. It was not properly cleaned. The unit is dated and need new furniture through out. Old soap stains and hair on the shower curtain in the first bathroom. Towel and rags are suppose to be white they were dingy and spotted. Seats arms in living room are filthy. The Kitchen we chose not to cook in their. Only used the countertop and fridge after we wiped them down. Old appliances, dishes-in the cabinets clearly have not been washed in years.The beds are squeaky and old. The lamp shades have been taped together. The let out couch is the living room is horrible. Sheets and pillows are mildew . The TV in the living room doesn't work. A Nice side view of the beach you do get. Whomever owns this unit clearly has no momentum for up keeping it up or making you feel at home away from home. read more

Had second floor ocean front condo. Great deck area could've used a fan with not much of a breeze. Condo was clean and well equipped with all necessities. Pool was always clean. Easy access to the beach umbrella and chair as part of the rental was a plus. Location was good with lot's of good restaurants around. read more

Our condo was dirty and smelled like mold/mildew really bad. Floor was filthy. The only thing good was the view of the beach but that didn't make up it. We were charged way more than any other place we had rented before. We only went with this one because it was available and our usual was not available. Don't trust all the good reviews. Let's talk about the staff 1st. The maintenance man and lady in the office were great. No problems there Now let's get to the condo 1205 itself. I was notified a few days before arriving that the unit had sustained some damage on the Sheetrock and I was offered a discount for the inconvenience or could cancel without a fee. I loved that they told me in advance and there was really nothing else available with the view this condo had so I accepted the discount as I was told it was just in the bedroom We all go to the beach for relaxation, right? Well once we arrived and went into the condo is when it went down hill. It was dusty, dirty dishes, dirty bed linens, broken dryer. Yay for having to hang clothes all over the place to dry. NOT. Silverware was dirty. Condo is extremely dated. To top it off there was plastic hanging over the window so we couldn't even see the ocean from the bedroom. Don't get me started on the mattress. It's a mattress from the 90s that's not comfortable at all. Oh did I mention the broken headboard? Nothing like laying in a bed that looks like it's had more action than local motel by the hour. But a can of Lysol fumigating the place we make it work. The mold in the 90s popperie ( sure that's spelled wrong) made for a real outdoorsy feel. NOT. And to top it all off. On our last day there we get locked out. Wait not locked out but the lock breaks. Luckily maintenance was there within a couple minutes. To get to the shower you must walk down the super narrow hallway through the bedroom Oh and one more thing the mold in the washer was a nice touch The only thing that made this bearable was the view from the balcony read more

All the appliances except dishes bowls and silverware, other pots pans and electric kettle were filthy Beds and inside the rooms were alright but the toilet was wobbly. Unit 2511 was not gulf front but offered beautiful views of both the gulf and the inlet from the wrap around balcony. The pool was very warm (although not gulf side and usually in the shade, which isn't always a bad thing if you're as fair skinned as my family). The building is certainly older, but I would stay here again. Our unit was well stocked with a start of t.p., dish soap, dish washer detergent and laundry detergent. There were no beach towels but there was an extra change of sheets, which was awesome for a mid week bed de-sanding. The location was very quiet and residential, which we were looking for with two small kids. I think next time we will choose a gulf front unit for a bit more balcony privacy. All in all a great place for a family beach vacation. Destin is too busy to stay in but a super close drive from the island. The beach is amazing and we saw some families that had found sand dollars first thing in the am. A great thing is the awesomely well stocked tom thumb pantry next door. A bad thing was you cant see the ocean or the pool from the charcoal grill area. read more

Filthy! Our unit which was advertised as "refurbished," was absolutely disgusting. When we arrived at 5pm, check-in was a breeze, we went straight to our unit and immediately noticed how filthy it was. The floors were dirty, all the dishes were covered in food and placed back in the cabinets and drawers, linens and towels were dirty and had holes, the refrigerator was dirty, the bathroom in the master was so gross. I started cleaning everything right away (the bath rug was literally brown and when I washed it, it was a light blue). The next morning, I went down to show the front office the mess in the condo. They sent up housekeeping while we were out. All housekeeping did was restart the dishwasher that we loaded and already cleaned and possibly cleaned the inside of the toilets. They did not address the caked on urine ring around the toilet, the filthy rug that was covered in sand, dirty walls, cabinets, filth in the drawers. I called the office after housekeeping left to let them know the unit was still filthy. The manager came up and looked at the unit and said she would clean it herself. We went to the pool and she came to clean the unit. She got some of the filth but not all, however, I do appreciate what she did. She also reimbursed us the cleaning fee. The unit is far from refurbished. The view is amazing and location was great, that was the only saving qualities. The property itself was not as clean as it should have. Saw food on the ground a lot, vomit near the grilling area, the pool deck was dirty a lot. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. All was fine until 2 neighboring condos began construction. We were never notified this would occur when we booked. We woke up to incessant banging that could be heard in every room of our penthouse unit, and could even be heard outside from the beach! But the real issue was how the situation was handled (or rather not handled). After 3 polite calls and 1 visit to the front office, no one even reached out to ask how they could help. I just wanted to request a few hours to stop the noise so my 1 year old could nap... The situation escalated and the front office said they didn't have to do anything about it (per my rental agreement). I said I would be giving a bad review, and the staff literally said "Well I'll still collect my pay check." And LAUGHED. I am disgusted at the complete lack of empathy the staff showed. I've stayed at this building every year for the last 5 years, and I will never stay again. read more

This lovely beachfront condo vacation was marred by two important problems : 1. Mold odor (and spores, I'm sure) permeating condo when washer opened. Maintenance was called and gasket tunnel treated by high-test bleach but still some black remained on paper towel swipes, and odor persisted. I was given a code to use another unit's washer, which I did, but the odor and problem was also budding in there. 2. WORSE problem was the ongoing municipal construction project beneath our deck - 7:15 wakeup call via high pitch router saw!! Each and every weekday morning!! This could have been avoided when I called front desk to compare pros and cons of location of two different condos. The alternate condo was located on the opposite side of the building - thus we could have avoided the annoying noises which interfered with our using the outside deck. The house manager's attitude was severely lacking in sympathy or solution - she told me I could call the proper municipal agency. Took no ownership for lack of information and poor management of booking. Don't walk away - run. read more

We have stayed here now the past 6 summers... 2014, 15, 16, 17, 18 were awesome, we stayed in a different unit every time....all good, beautiful! This year however was a different story...we stayed in unit 1504 July 26th-29th 2019... such a disappointment! Really bad... 360/per night... upon arrival the frig was not working, and the freezer was leaking...it had to be repaired twice while there...the kitchen sink was linking into a container underneath the sink...one of the beds in the kids room had busted springs which made it impossible for one of my sons to sleep comfortably, he had to sleep on the stained sofa.... the towel rack in the guest bathroom fell off, it apparently had been repaired before...the decor was HORRIBLE...odds and ins thrown in... no wifi for the unit....no landline...not a big deal for some, but I like to be able to phone my children from the beach...the furniture was out dated and STAINED...there were several holes that had been repaired in the walls and by repaired I mean filled...not re painted...the patio furniture did not match and was rusted...it may sound like Im nit picking, but compared to the other units we have stayed at...it was horrible and not up to the "resort" price of 360/ night... the manager did tell me she had just sent the owner some bad surveys, so obviously she knew the condition of this unit BEFORE I arrived and she did try to move me to another unit, which she could not, as none were available...also said she blocked that unit from being rented again until the owner updated and repaired..which is all fine and good but where does that leave me?? 1300$ spent on a DUMP... if this had been my 1st visit here I would never go back...but we have had 5 previous summers with good units...but here is the "kink"...I spoke to and emailed the resort manager....I feel like something should have been refunded, come on!!! Is cutomer loyalty worth nothing??? Not even taking a 100 off of each night, or SOMETHING...wouldn't you do something to make it right???? Nope... and I sent an email which was NEVER REPLIED TO...so for THAT I will never go back to the Nautilus and for THAT I am writing this review...and I am also copying the email that was sent and never replied to... Linda,  As I get home and reflect on my stay this weekend in unit 1504, I'm even more disappointed. I've been there the last 5 years, the last 3 with me and my sons and the 2 before that with my mother, who booked with you guys... I have never been so disappointed... AND EMBARRASSED...because I bragged about you guys to my boyfriend, only for him to compare the accommodations to a DUMP!! OBVIOUSLY you were having issues with this unit, and owner....as you let slip to me that you just mailed her some bad reviews before I got there.... you admittedly said you were trying to place me in another unit, so lets just be clear that you knew what the condition with this unit was....Im happy that you blocked it as to force the owner to fix, repair and update...these are resort prices that you guys are charging....AND THAT IS NOT WHAT UNIT 1504 IS....I've become accustom with higher standards at the Nautilus...this was so disappointing... the very least you could have done was offer to reimburse me some of the charge, as an act of good faith with a repeat guest. Customer service, should be TOP PRIORITY...yes, maintenance came, he was awesome WE LOVED HIM...yes you looked for another unit,  that was nice, too bad you couldn't find one, and yes you blocked her unit....but a reimbursement would have really shown something towards customer loyalty..... just saying, I probably will not be back. Unit 1501 - Gulf Front End Unit Pros - Gulf-front end unit with a large wrap around balcony. The view was great! Easy access to pool & ground floor. Stairs were right outside the main door. Size of condo was comfortable. The second bedroom also had a balcony overlooking the pool & parking lot. The kitchen was a very nice size with a large bar. Rental comes with 2 beach chairs & umbrella. The kitchen & bathrooms have new cabinets with granite counters. Water pressure in showers is strong. Cons - Building & unit look better in photos than in person. The building is old & outdated. Parking is neither secure nor covered. There is nothing luxurious about the Nautilus except the view & the close proximity to the Gulf. The refrigerator did not work properly the first day & we lost approximately $100 worth of food. We also had to purchase a large cooler & ice to store our drinks. Maintenance was easy to reach the next morning & responded in a timely manner. We feel the rental office should have offered at least an apology, if not some sort of discount for our expense. The unit was not clean. There was garbage in the floor of every room & dead roaches in the corners. The unit had an odd odor, like dirty mop water. The first hour of our stay was spent cleaning the unit. While the cabinets, counters, & plumbing fixtures are updated, that is where the updates end. The pullout sofa was dirty, stained, & wet. Wifi is not secure. Unit is very dark. Other than kitchen lights, all other lighting is from dim lamps. Shower is very dark. Overall, it was a decent place to stay, only because it was gulf front. Our stay was comfortable but not luxurious. The condo size was comfortable & the balcony was great. With a few more updates to the building, updated décor, & adequate housekeeping, it could be a nice place to stay. In its current state, I would not recommend & would not stay there again. Our rate was $1071 for 3 nights (Wed, Thur, Fri). read more

My parents have stayed here 3 years in a row, they will not be back. They warned them about construction this year (after they had paid up front for the next year) but no one told them the extent. They have been woken up LOUD construction noise at 7 am every morning (Loud enough that we cannot talk on the phone or hear each other from 5 feet away- my husband was not able to take an important work call because there was no where to go where he could hear it or his coworkers could hear him over the noise). The balcony has no railing (on the 3rd floor, which cannot be up to code) and there have been people on our balcony without warning several days. My mom had to tape the curtains to the wall and use clips to hold them together so that the construction workers couldn't see into her bedroom through the curtain gaps. The ocean view is beautiful though, it'd be nice if we could hear the waves over the construction noise... read more

The pool is virtually unused since it sits on the parking lot side of the building rather than on the beach side. Plus it is almost always in the shade and the heat isn't turned on until later in the year. Our condo was fairly nice. The exterior of the building is dated and confusing but they do their best to keep it up, it was being painted while we were there. There is beach service that you can pay for or get included in your condo and kayaks/paddleboards for rent for $30/day or less for an hour/half hour. Right next to Tom Thumb so very convenient for grabbing snacks, drinks, etc. Could even walk the mile to a few restaurants. I wish the condos in this area would offer pool/beach/lawn service, even if just drinks. read more
