My family and I recently stayed here via an Airbnb booking. I love how close this is to a private beach entrance. There's a pavilion where live music was played several of the days that we were there. There's a Pickleball court and my two oldest kids went out and played on it several times. The unit we stayed in was decorated beautifully. It was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I would bring up is that they are doing construction, which can be a little inconvenient. Also, they promote that they have a gym and I would not classify what they have as a gym. It's a really small room with a couple machines. This location is great so I would consider staying here in the future. read more

The floors where dirty as well as the outside furniture we only got 2 rolls of tissue for 4 nights the only thing I loved was the view and being close to the beach the whole complex though needs an update and the gate people could have had better customer service and the way I saw how they embarrassed this black family at the pool just unbelievable . read more

Easily would have been five stars if the unit 613B had some updates. The carpet is super old. They really need to update it. The carpet just is gross. The unit is great for a family of four! Very accommodating space and having two bathrooms is a plus! Washer and dryer in unit was great! The view of the gulf is amazing! The complimentary beach set up was awesome! The pool and hot tub are amazing and the staff are wonderful! They gave us a late check out of 2 pm which gave us an extra day at the beach! Would stay again just in a more updated unit! read more

We stayed in condo 416A. Let's mention the positives first. The unit is updated & the view is beautiful! The elevators were quick & it was easy to get to the pool & beach. They had music in the pavilion & nice charcoal grills. They had an animal encounter come one day & our daughter loved it. They do not hand out activity sheets. You have to take a picture of it in the elevators. It is a short drive to restaurants, stores, & activities. The parking was convenient. The unit has a towel drying rack on the balcony that was very useful. Now the negatives. The sleeper sofa is extremely uncomfortable. We came prepared with an air mattress just in case & we are glad we did. They only give you 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 trash bags, & one packet of dishwasher soap, so if you are staying more than a few days bring some. The air circulation in the bedroom is horrible. We were sweating every night, so you have to leave the bedroom door open. The outside light is extremely bright through the bedroom windows. They really need to hang up blackout curtains. If people are partying in other units you will hear it. Over all we enjoyed our stay. read more

The folks in the office were not very helpful. Key fob would not open the door and the owner told us to take to the office. The office staff would not reprogram without the owner's permission and the owner would not respond to texts or answer the phone. Also, we were told AFTER we arrived that the washer did not work. Update: The owner never responded to my call or texts. read more

Absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. The only issue I have is that everyone shares the same line to enter. If someone is checking in then all of the people that have guest passes have to wait until the check in is complete. Otherwise very happy read more

Being the last condo on the beach before the Jetty you have a less crowded beach and great access. I will absolutely never reserve a condo here again! I initially stayed here in June for my anniversary, I had such a great time I decided this would be a great experience for my mom and dad for thier BIG 50th year anniversary. My siblings and I planned a sunset dinner on the beach. I reserved the Condo and start planning. I called and spoke to a representative of JettyEast to make sure this would be ok. The lady stated it was absolutely ok. I also asked about a table for 10 since we were all coming 10+ hours away. The representative stated they did have a table but it was heavy, so she suggested that it would be perfectly fine to use the tables and chairs from the gazebo, just make sure we returned everything when we finished. I told her absolutely. Now it is the day of the dinner we all went down around 430 to set up. we were ready to go my mom and dad came down looking amazing. As all of this was taking place a guy that had been drinking approached me to asked what I was doing and to put that stuff back he was supposedly an owner there living in condo 512A. After explaining to him which I should not have had to do. I asked him had he been drinking he stated yes. While all this was going on the guy thats normally at the gate came over, he told me he would get this verified, and what was the complaint. The guy stated he was worried we would not put the tables and chairs back. Now the other gatekeeper is coming over, aggressively to tell us how it was going to be and we were going against protocol, and we had to put everything back right away, meanwhile about 6 police pulled up, the whole time this is going on I am trying to call the number the guy gave me to Pam, 24 hours later still no call. Myself and my sister went to the office this morning as soon as it opened to explain the situation but was met with nothing. I was told to speak with Pam over and over. She is out until Wednesday. The representative today stated what we were doing was not his business, and it was not against protocol we are not the first family to do this. On the flip side none of us were gun down, and the food was great. read more

I didn't get the security guards name , he was the one with the brown skin with a little bit of curly hair. An older gentleman, but man let me tell you he does his job well !!! He takes the game of security and makes it look easy, I felt very safe in his presence! I would Intrust that man with my life! Not to mention he treats hotel guests accordingly! read more

Nice place with large condos. Pool was very clean. Nice gazebo with bbq pits to use. Loved the hot tub. The beach was not crowded. Umbrella chair service is offered. The beach water was not as pretty as it was farther into Destin. We were slightly disappointed in that. Shells were everywhere! read more

Arrived Monday Labor Day as everyone was leaving so the crowd was small. Your literally 100 yards, if that from the beach. We booked the 5th floor gulf view and was amazed. Condo completely furnished with washer, dryer, fridge, dishwasher, cooking utensils, cable, wifi, flat screen tv's. Huge pool and hot tub next to beach with BBQ gazebo area. Queen bed could be updated. Kinda uncomfortable. Never saw room service and ice is $3 for a bag in the front office that closes early each day. All and all had a very great time and will return next summer no doubt. read more

First of all, I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, but I'm pretty sure the designer of German pillboxes in WWII designed this place. The building is practically hurricane proof which I supposed is nice for the condo owners. However, I would say that since the units are probably more secure than most that I'd expect the owners to actually invest in their property. Some of these units go for over $1 million, so I'd think that people with this kind of money would actually want their places to look nice. Apparently not. It wasn't until recently that one of the units finally upgraded to flat screen TVs from tube-screens from the mid-90s... I'd also expect to see modern renovations (some units have it, not most) like granite counter tops, modern appliances, etc. If you're looking for luxury - this is NOT necessarily your place. In most of the units, the furniture is exceptionally cheap and not necessarily even comfortable; it's basically all tacky cheap beach-themed furniture. You could probably buy nicer furniture at IKEA. In conjunction with that, most of the units have numerous spots of wear and tear and damage. I would be embarrassed to own one of these condos with renters seeing that. Furthermore, if you want any kind of connection to the modern world, you're out of luck. The internet here is abysmal and won't even support netflix streaming. We've complained year after year (and I suppose others have as well), and it hasn't gotten better. I use AT&T, and I can't even get a good enough signal out here to check my personal email. This place is so behind that I don't even see your typical drunk bros and slutty college girls here during Spring Break which is both upsetting and relieving in a few different ways. The Jetty East only really caters to your traditional old people and families from up north who are not man enough to handle the weather during the winter. On a more positive note, the view and beach are nice, but those things aren't exclusive to the Jetty East. Ultimately, the Jetty East is simply below average. It's not particularly bad for most people, I suppose, but you certainly do better elsewhere. P.S. - to those of you who do keep up your unit, good work! Now coerce your neighbors to do the same. Room was great! Loved waking up opening window and view was the beach. I had my coffee oUt on balcony facing beach. Coffee was that much better. Beach is very close to condo with clear green water and white sand. Pretty beach! The pool and hot tub were fun. The reason I rate it three stars is because front office staff are rude. We were told to show up at 2. Contract states 4, but we called and were told it was available now. We showed up and they lied. We had kids and waited 2 hours. I wished they would have told us and we would have stopped somewhere to eat. When I asked why we were told it was available now, she kept stating, "it's not ready, we will call you when it is available". They also take a while to come to front when you enter office. I personally feel staff needs training on customer service. read more

We have been coming to Destin, FL since I was 3. I am 29 now with a son who is 3. We have also stayed at different places but Jetty East had become our haven! Even when they lost their beach in that hurricane that year, we still lodged there in the winter months. But the beach is back and in full effect.....all you have to do is walk out the building and the beach is in your backyard! The staff is always friendly...all the way down to the janitorial staff! The rooms are clean and very cozy. Perfect for extended stays away from home. They have everything you need and they are minutes from EVERYTHING! I would definitely recommend Jetty East to a friend....even a stranger lol! read more
