While in the bedroom, i had a cockroach crawl over my foot, and I was incredibly disgusted. The facility is obviously older, but the carpet situation needs to be addressed for sanitary reasons. Throughout the years I've stayed in almost every condo on the first floor, and 209 and 211 on the second floor. Every time it has been wonderful. Check in is at 4, which is kind of late. But if you show up early and your room has already been cleaned and inspected they will almost always allow you in. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad experience with them. They always greet you with a smile and are super kind. Almost every condo has a king size bed, 2 bunk beds, and a pull out couch, so you can easily fit 6 comfortably. There is a full kitchen with cookware, 2 bathrooms, and one shower. From the living area there's a back porch that overlooks the gorgeous powder white sand and emerald coast. You're provided with 2 chairs and an umbrella. On the first day you go to the beach you can reserve your spot for the week so I would recommend getting to the beach early the first morning. There's also a pool and hot tub in the complex for when you need a break from the beach. One huge plus of staying here is that there is only 3 stories. The beach area behind Destin Beach Club is reserved for only residents so the beach is never overly crowded at this condo. Since you're right on scenic highway 98, you're close to everything there is to see and do in Destin. There's a plethora of restaurants, souvenir shops, and shops. You're also right next to the Destin harbor and all the new things it has to offer. Because of the great staff, amenities, view, and less crowded beach area, I would definitely recommend Destin beach club to anybody who is traveling down to Destin. This company has so many hidden fees in their 20 page lease. There are many addendums to justify…read moretheir added costs. One instance is their offer of a valet service. It is not an offer with an option to opt out. It is a mandatory $30 monthly fee, whether you use the service or not. If you do use the service and work beyond the time you need to move your garbage can back indoors, you will get a violation fee. Likely $50-100. They require you to use their business apps to pay rent, utilities, package service, etc. These total more than $20 per month. All in all you will pay nearly $1k per year extra on top of the high rent. The water treatment stench is horrible. Don't get a unit in the vicinity of that because YOU WILL experience the stench daily. Only upside to this place is its location. Also it is not senior or kid friendly. No accommodations for seniors as in access to upper floors or grab bars for safety in bathrooms. Tub/shower is very high to step into and is an accident waiting to happen. Keep track of your deposit, they are required by law to send an itemized statement via certified mail to inform of any claim to deduct a portion of your security deposit. They don't. Be aware of that. Also pet deposit is $500 per pet and $40 pet rent fee. Buyer beware. I am sure I will get a response from the leasing office saying I am a disgruntled former tenant. I am. They harassed us endlessly and accused us of smoking in the unit without giving us any factual evidence of the accusation. Walk around the property, there are cig butts everywhere including near the leasing office. Not a positive atmosphere IMO.

Two rolls of toilet paper for 7 people....Each room was very dirty and the bedsheets were stained. I will attach photos of bedsheets in Room 1630. Most outlets do not work and the carpet in the living room is VERY dirty. Hot water does not exist so I had to take cold showers, seems like a common problem at this extremely old building. Two outlets out of the entire condo worked so my phone was constantly on 10% battery. Balcony is very small and filthy with a nasty carpet that gets soggy when it rains and starts to stink. The thing that shocked me the most is that at Jade East Towers was the fact that you could not have a canopy. This property wants you to purchase those old, disgusting, umbrellas that they sell. 45$ what a complete sham! Grills are updated and handy. Short walk to beach and since it's a small complex you always have a front row seat with plenty of room and no obstructions. Walkable to the back porch, a breakfast shoppe and Ruth Chris (happy hour)!! Pool is just ok but it works.

The location was great, the room was amazing, the amentities were the best part. This is a great place for families as the many pools and water areas are so much fun. They have poolside activities like poolside movies. There is a small tiki bar with a small menu on site as well. They also offer umbrella/chair rentals on the beach in front of the resort. I can imagine without the construction project you have a better chance of walking to the nearby restaurants/attractions, but we opted to drive. The parking is gated as well as the pool areas.

BEWARE AVARI VACATION RENTALS: Condo uninhabitable,…read moresignificant water damage and mold, refund or relocation refused We booked unit A412 at the Waterscapes in Fort Walton Beach through Avari. Upon entering the condo I noticed a musty smell and the condo looked severely neglected- chipped paint throughout the corners and baseboards that looked like it needed to be touched up for multiple seasons, with significant water damage and mold/growth growing around the baseboards and drywall in the bathrooms. Upon brushing my teeth I noticed that the bathroom faucet was completely caked with black and green mold and we ended up using bottled water to brush our teeth. One of the showers wasn't dispersing water properly and it was actually painful to shower because of how much pressure was coming out of the shower head (water was only coming out of half of it, so it was shooting out to the point I couldn't shower my child because it was like pins and needles). Usually high water pressure is great but this was extreme and from obvious neglect. When we got into bed we noticed our sheets were stained throughout the middle of the bed. The condo was truly disgusting and I have ZERO idea how anyone thought it was OK to have guests in it at all. We had to stay there one night because our flight got in super late (we arrived at the condo around 12:30 am) and I had my 3 year old with us so we ended up switching beds to one that looked cleaner and crashing for just the night hours (until around 8:30) before hauling out of there. I was in contact with customer service from about 1-2 am, but was told I would have to wait until the on site property management before I could be relocated or refunded. When I finally got a hold of the on site property manager (after calling multiple times from 8:30 am- 10:30 am) she told me I could not be relocated or refunded. It was after 11 am before I could see her in person though there were several urgent orders put in for her to contact me. We walked through the condo together and I pointed out all the issues above and told her the condo was uninhabitable and to ask again, and I was told the same again (no refund or relocation to a different condo). Apparently if the individual owner doesn't want to refund you your money- it doesn't matter if the place has obvious mold issues and unlivable! As a side note I woke up with a sore throat and itchy/runny sinuses that resolved after leaving, so I will be reporting this condo to the local health department. I truly believe this place is a major health hazard and caution everyone to stay away from Avari- they obviously do not care about the health and safety of their customers.
