One thing that I think she does differently is she looks at your skin type and it's current condition to decide what moisturizer and products to use. When she arrived, she didn't have a professional setup at all. no lighting, no chair, no proper kit setup just a makeup bag and a small mirror placed on my friend's dining table. She did mention she had just moved to Florida so maybe that explains why she didn't have a real setup, I'm not sure. I showed her my inspo photos and clearly explained that I wanted a clean girl makeup, very light makeup look with soft pink blush and almost no eyeshadow. She said it was fine, but the makeup she did was completely different. She finished in about 20 to 25 minutes, and she ended up giving me dark eyeshadow even though I specifically said I didn't want that. The foundation made me look orange and wasn't matched to my skin tone. Overall, the makeup looked outdated, almost like a 2016 style, not the fresh and natural look I asked for. I was really disappointed, especially since this was for my friend's wedding. I also want to add that I didn't really speak up because it was my first time getting my makeup done professionally, and I get shy about saying something. I was already nervous and had to rush to a whole wedding right after, so I didn't want her to have to start over or make things awkward. I just left feeling frustrated.
