Navarre kept our Kia for over 1 1/2 months and didn't fix the issue and passed the buck. Never communicated anything to us as to why they wouldn't be able to fix the car and then said it works fine when it doesn't. They overcharged the coolant, damaged the system and never told anyone. We're relatively new to Louisa County, and it was time for our annual state inspection. Based on Yelp and other reviews, we turned to Navarres. We were able to make an appointment for our preferred date and time for the following week. We were seen promptly at our appointment time. The inspection was completed in about 35-40 minutes while we waited in the small waiting area, which has vending machines and a rest room. The business appeared to be well-organized with spare parts. Had a flat tire and AAA took 2 hours for a tow truck. Not sure why I pay for them. They took me to this shop and arrived a few minutes past closing. The owner was there working in one of the bays. I fully expected him to send me home and say he would try and get to it tomorrow. NOPE, he said he would take care of it now. Took longer than expected and I tried to push my luck and ask him to give me a state inspection as well since mine had expired. He agreed and stuck around about an hour and 15 minutes past closing to help me out. I miss family owned businesses. Too few of them left. This guy was personable and very kind. I will be back and would highly recommend this shop. Small town values!! read more

I gave two stars because they were friendly. The first Prius job they did for us, they got it done, but reinstalled the driveshaft improperly. (We took it to Gibson's in Mineral to get it done sooner.) The second Prius job, we took the car in for an opinion. They did nearly $600 worth of work that *we did not authorize* and did not fix the problem. Furthermore, they left behind two empty bottles of windshield wiper fluid, and a full soda can. read more

Best shop around hands down!!!! Great price on rotors. Used the jaunt bus for $4 to pick up and drop off. Made everything easier. Drove the car home and the shaking. Fast turn around time-- 4hrs. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Very honest and reliable, I could never imagine going anywhere else to have my car worked on.

Well new to this area so thought I researched to find the best place. Well that was a dud. Called them to get my car inspected and they said I had to schedule a appointment since they didnt take drop offs and waiting period is about two weeks. So made the appointment for the 30th ( and then told them I would drop it off on the 29th. Dropped it off on the 29th just before closing and spoke to nice lady about the appointment. Yep she had me there and then I added if they had time please check the AC. Sure no problem and they would contact me. 30th rolls around 3:00pm and no call from them. So I call them. Oh the lady says, well the guy who was working on it the 29th, is off today. We dont know what he did on the 29th. IM like...hmmmm, ok, when will it be done... Will have it done tomorrow when he is back. So wait all day again, then around 3:00 call and now the same lady says they never touched the car and hopefully on Monday. Said there really busy and people are off. Im like, I had a appointment, and her response was really????? Im like, nope, Im coming to get it right now. Drive up there, she whispers Im sorry, I grabbed the keys and went across the Street to Kenney's Tire. I guess the reviews were before they moved. I wish they would have just owned the situation and called me it be swamped. But not telling the truth and making me chase them down to get information was unacceptable. Dave runs an efficient, friendly and knowledgeable business here. Dave takes the time to talk to the customer face-to-face in a sincere way and tells you what kind of expense you may be facing. He will even go on a short, local test drive with you to try to determine what the mechanical issue might be before any repair authorization is required. He is as honest as the day is long. As an example, he once called me in the middle of repairs to tell me that the repair would actually be LESS than he originally believed! Call me old-fashioned, but I believe that anyone would want this trait in an auto. mechanic. Dave will save the old parts for you and even offer to show you what the part was that failed and why it failed. Navarres may not advertise too much, but they don't have to.
