I so much wanted to support this business, not only because it's a small business but because I…read morefelt I could trust the owners of Crown Auto. I first made contact with Crown Auto when my vehicle developed an interior cabin leak. The owner suggested it may be due to a clogged sunroof drain tube which he cleared using an air pump at no charge. Granted, the process took less than 5 minutes. So when I took my vehicle to AAA car care in Fredericksburg for an inspection only to receive a quote for $1,970 in repairs, I returned to Crown Auto with the expectation that not only would it would cost less, but that I was dealing with a honest and trusted business. Boy! Was I in for a rude awakening!!! Crown Auto initially charged me $1,700 for LESS THAN HALF of the expensive repairs AAA was going to do. AAA was going to replace the two front headlights ($985), spark plugs, front and rear engine mount, a missing exhaust bolt, brake system service, and a 1 year alignment warranty. I only had Crown Auto work on the front and rear exhaust mount, exhaust bolt, and brake system service. Crown Auto kept my vehicle overnight even though the work took less than 2 hours (I took my vehicle in at 12PM, Crown Auto called me around 4PM with a quote. Crown Auto said nothing about keeping my vehicle overnight! When I did not hear from them at 5PM, I called and it went to voicemail, so I left a message. When I called again around 11AM then next day since no one bothered to return my call, I was told that my vehicle was ready). Crown Auto charged me $830 for 2 hours of labor and $100 in shop fees. AAA's shop fees were only $40 and labor cost was $1,150 even though AAA would have spent 2 hours or more replacing just the headlights. Added to all of this, Crown Auto is no AAA in terms of environment, amenities and location.

Can't express how awesome and amazing Jesse and his wife are at Crown Auto. Jesse has helped us in…read moreso many issues with our one vehicle and was never overpriced. They are straight up and honest and won't have you have more done than you need. If you ever need a mechanic, this one is for you!

This is my FIRST review!! Forgive me if I appear to be 'awkward' with this, I will do my best!…read more Anyone who is disabled should NOT even consider giving this place your business. The first visit to AutoZone in Louisa, VA. was great! The gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful and was able to put my new windshield wipers I purchased on my car. He was AWESOME! My second, and will be my last, visit was ridiculous. I, like most disabled people, absolutely HATE asking for help. We strive to be independent. So when we ask for help, it's seriously like important, right? SO, I purchased some items to include 2 seat covers. I asked that since there were 3 people on the registers and less than 3 in the store if one of them could help me put on the seat covers real quick. I was told, "No". I asked why and was told, "It's too time consuming." I said, "You've got to be kidding me". Nope. They wouldn't do it. SO, I went out and by my little handicapable self, was able to put those seat covers on in 6 min. 40 sec. Now, it DID put me in bed for 3 days due to the exertion, BUT it only took ME a short amount of time. I went back in (glutton for punishment) after I had put them on myself and told one of the guys (the one I spoke with was not there) how long it took me to put the covers on myself. He said, "Well then that's pretty good for you, right?" Not kidding. Now, I do NOT hold this guy responsible as he may and probably did not know exactly what had transpired, however, if I were someone working in the store, I sure would have wanted to find out what the hell was up with the pissed off disabled chic. That's just me...I had tried to explain it all to him, gave up pretty quickly. Oh well. FYI...called across the street to Advanced Auto Parts and was assured that had I gone there, they would have helped me with those seat covers.
