Went here the day after Thanksgiving because one of my niece's friends wanted to hang out here. I think I'm all set with Kpop for awhile. They had Kpop Demon Hunters playing on repeat, the music throughout the ice rink and then the kids went wild with it during karaoke. I looked around and could not figure out where the screen was (if they even had one) because other songs, kids were mumbling. I do appreciate that there's a middle area where ice skating beginners can practice and learn. They also had laser tag, but no one was interested. Pizza was the best they got for food and kept me full while my niece had fun. There was also a 1 lap race for different age groups and if you were an expert skater, they made you start further back. read more

I just had my sons 7th birthday party here! I was nervous cuz there were so many kids that attended. they reassured me to relax and they had it under control. the door people were awesome. they explained the process of kids who came & laser tag, which the kids LOVED. the host Gio was fantastic! I never had to ask for anything. he kept checking in & even filling the popcorn and drinks as they got empty! he also came to me and let me know that he was taking his 15 min break and if I needed anything before he went on it! overall, staff very helpful and professional. the floor workers are great at attending to the little kids as they help skate to the middle of the floor! deff a great place! read more

First time in a rollerskating rink in decades so not much to compare to, but this place was FUN! The decor brought us back to when we skated as kids. We went on adult night and the crowd was super energetic and the employees seemed to be genuinely having fun as well! Decided to go to roller kingdom because they also offer laser tag. BE WARNED!!! Birthday parties take priority here. This place is too small to handle the volume of people that go and at least 10 birthday parties at the same time. It hasn't been updated at all since I was a kid. Yes I went there as a child! It is also in need of a serious deep cleaning! Shampoo the carpets. Dust the dance floor room. You can see the cobwebs collecting in the corners. They advertise that clean air is pumped in all the time. I doubt that very much. The air vents in the outside are absolutely disgusting. Drive around the building and you'll see an air vent or some type of vent caked in decades of green black grime. The roller skating is good. The referees do a good job of policing the skaters. There are fun things happening during the skating as well: chicken dance, hokey pokey, speed skating, etc. No problem with the actual skating. The Laset tag is a different story. We waited almost two hours for laser tag. When we paid for admission, we thought we bought laser tag tickets as well. Not the case! Laser tag is separate which is fine. They add you to a hand written list for a specific time. You're not given an actual ticket with a time stamp on it or anything like that. Again Birthday parties take priority. When it is you're time to play laser tag it's announced but it runs behind. Chances are you're going to be playing a round of laser tag with birthday party goers. After being bumped 3 times, they tried to squeeze in a birthday party of like 15 people plus our party of three and another party of eight in the same group. Meanwhile they only have enough equipment for 11 people. You do the math there. They were going to bump us AGAIN until we demanded our money back! Prices at the snack bar are reasonable. But again with the all the birthday parties happening there's no seating. The pizza looked absolutely disgusting. I would never eat that. Did order a Pepsi. Snackbar worker didn't even put ice in the drink. So was served warm Pepsi. The soda lines probably haven't been cleaned at all! Needless to say we will not be going to Roller Kingdom in Hudson MA anytime soon! read more

Fun experience for all ages but very crowded, especially over the weekend as it is prime time for birthday parties and families. We went with kids ages 4-9 and they had a blast with roller skating and arcade games. They offer your choice of roller skates or roller blades which are in decent condition. The kids who fit non-toddler skates sizes 1+ liked how their rentals lit up with colorful lights when they skated. As an adult who was helping orient kids who didn't know how to skate I liked how they have a designated area, in the middle of the to rink, for inexperienced skaters to reduce the likelihood of collisions with those who are able to skate much faster. They also had 2-3 employees in the rink designated to help kids navigate the tricky traffic if they had trouble skating and needed to leave the rink. In between skating they clear the floor for interactive games such at races by age group (it's actually more fun to watch than you think). I recommend going early in the day (1pm or before) so there is less of a crowd but either way the kids (and adults) will have a good time. read more

Went here for lunch with my wife. We arrived just at opening on a Sunday, as we'd heard the seats fill up quick. We were able to snag a booth along the skating floor, which offered us a nice view of little ones trying their best to learn how to skate. After looking over the menu (which was limited) we ordered the cheese pizza and a pitcher of diet Pepsi. The wait staff was courteous, telling us it would be about 15 minutes. The pizza arrived right on time and was quite tasty, with just the right mix of sauce and cheese. My only complaint might be that the crust did not appear to be hand tossed. The diet Pepsi was also good, with just the right amount of ice added. For dessert we split a giant chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was served nicely on a paper plate, and was warm and soft. It really hit the spot... The prices were a little high, with $12 for the pizza, and $4 for the Pepsi, but no tip was required. I suspect the price covered in part the cost of the ambience - music, lighting, and such. Overall we were very happy with our experience, and may consider coming back again at night, which we've heard offers more of a romantic vibe. read more

It's a nice environment and a very happy place where you can go and have fun with friends/families they have good food and other stuff.

Potentially really fun: awesome looking facilities, cool lights and good quality rental skates...except it's kind of unsafe. It's over crowded( way over crowded- do they even count how many people are in the building?) and there is no place for younger kids who can't skate to run/ walk or even sit without skaters crashing into them. When they do "karaoke" people crowd the beat box theater area , which is also a walkway and an exit for the skating area. People are allowed to leave their things strewn about the walkway, which leads to kids tripping all over each other and the stuff in the floor. The crowds for karaoke makes this worse. Those concerns paired with the fact that they're constantly "clearing the floor" for fast skate times- again crowding the walkways are creating a safety issue- and given that it was $19 for 2 kids to skate and one rental, I'd expect way more for our money. read more

This was the best birthday party we have ever had (Sunday 1-5). The staff was phenomenal, courteous and made sure all of our kids were safe and had a good time. My daughter LOVED her party and the adults had more fun than the kids! The staff monitoring the rink made sure the little kids could get from the side to the center and our party helper was very attentive. So there I was, venturing for some good clean American fun to pass the night away, when a friend suggested to me the renown "one dollar Wednesdays" at Tyngsboro's Roller Kingdom. To clarify, "one dollar Wednesdays" are when admission to roller skate is, in fact, one dollar, and it falls on the weekday we commonly refer to as "Wednesday". Now at this point, my mind was running wild with all the thoughts of the fun I would be having--blading around, observing the bad tattoos of the townies from a safe distance and "accidentally" crashing into the skate traffic referee nerds (only kidding.. You guys provide a wonderful and necessary service). These giddy, neon disco light illuminated feelings followed me into that kingdom of rolling for a short time, only until Roller Kingdom revealed to me the gender normative establishment it is--or should I more aptly call it Roller SEXISM. At around 7:30 PM EST, the rink clears for "speed skating", which is separated by relative age groups, oh and just one more thing, gender. I would really like to know why it is necessary in the very slightest to separate children by gender normative "girls" and "boys" titles for their 2 minutes of speed skating. This creates the notion that there are vast differences between the two, when in reality there are not, and thus these children have these ideas deeply instilled in their psyches from an early age. Gender is entirely a social construct and Roller Kingdom serves as a physical manifestation that institutionalizes ideals supporting gender norms and roles--ones that are dangerous to the mental and physical health of everybody, regardless of their gender. What if there was a child who didn't feel they belonged to either category, and Roller Kingdom just made them skate down a path they were not comfortable in all whilst listening to "Hit the Quan"? Or what if there was a girl who just wanted to skate with the boys and vice versa? You call this recreation? I call this a trainWRECKreaction. But in all seriousness, separating children at a young age into these two categories and instilling in them these arbitrary societal norms can be harmful, but is ultimately unnecessary--c'mon guys :( This does nothing to promote gender equality nor a healthy competitive spirit among both males and females. So to that I say shame on you, Tyngsboro Roller Kingdom, shame on you. So what did I get out of my Roller Kingdom experience? I like roller skating! I love roller skating! I even own $300 dollar roller skates, that's how much I like it. Five Stars to this roller rink for 5 reasons: 1. I did not have to go through a metal detector at the door! 2. They did not loop the same bad R&B song over and over. In fact they even had a few good songs in the mix. 3. 200% cleaner than any other Roller Rink in a 50 mile radius 4. No gang wars. Seriously, this is actually a problem at a couple of places I've been. 5. Neon everywhere!!! I just wish it was a little closer. read more

For the price, I think it's a nice place to spend a couple hours on an afternoon. It's only about $8 for skating and skate rental. Usually, parents are free. They have lots of specials, too. Went here for the first time the other day, was greeted by a somewhat shady looking room with a little window to get my ticket. The actual rink room was nicer, with loud music, some lights, and a small little arcade area right next to a snack bar with some pretty competitive seating. (Perhaps that was my fault for coming on a Friday night, because there were mobs of middle schoolers around.) Not an advanced roller skater (in fact, this was probably my second or third time in my entire life trying to do it) but I could definitely appreciate how nice and smooth the rink was. The food from the snack bar was nothing special, but the cookies are nice, warm and kinda yummy! My only real issue was the arcade, which hardly deserves being called one; only three skee ball machines, one of which didn't work, two of those basketball hoop games, a couple of those spin the wheel type games, an air hockey table, and a Jurassic Park seated shooter. However, for a place that was primarily a roller skating rink, it's a pretty decent setup, and provides a good amount of fun. Just don't come if you're only interested in an arcade. The prize booth / roller skate shop was pretty nice, and they had really neat stuff for sale! And some sweet prizes too. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Despite some personal preference issues, this place is pretty great, and definitely seems like a fun place for kids. read more

Starting to get a bit run down but the kids love being here. Arcade games to play, food is inexpensive, laser tag available. Rentals r always in good condition (you can choose skates or blades). A good place to hang out on a Saturday, bring the little ones early and its a young crowd and easy for learning. Moms can take the little ones into the middle where those who already know how to skate circle around the out side, no danger here. Lots of lighting early too and races with prizes for the kids. Clean, family friendly. I chaperoned a school trip here and our kids are loving it. The music isn't overpoweringly loud. The lifeguards keep the crowd moving and watch out for young children and new skaters. I've watched a couple of them helping the young kids with their skates - they're really good with kids. There's an arcade and a food bar, both reasonably priced. There's also lots of rink-side seating so kids can stop and rest or check in with me. WiFi is available and doesn't appear to be metered but I'm not pushing it. Plenty of lights and visuals to keep the rink visibly exciting. Great place - thanks roller kingdom! read more

While they have a dual wood and rubberized flooring, it is a great place to practice some speed!!! Also, their adult skate nights are awesome, especially when Tom is mixing it up on the sound waves! After some consideration I took into an account that this annoyance occurred during New Year's Day which explains why it was so crowded and they did the best they could to handle crowd control. My husband and I took our kids to Roller Kingdom thinking it would be a different, new, fun experience for them. We drove down from Concord, NH, spent $70, stayed for two hours (with us begging the kids to keep trying) and only got to skate about 30 minutes. The day we visited, admittedly stupid on my part, being during Christmas break, the place was MOBBED. There was a line to get in, a line to get skates, a line to return skates, a line to the food area, a line to get onto the skating floor.... people everywhere and almost impossible to move without running into someone. The lines weren't made any easier to deal with as the MC kept asking everyone to, "Clear the floor! It's time for girls only!" or, "Clear the floor! It's time for races!" It was so annoying, and hard for the kids because they wanted to get started right away and couldn't because the floor was only open to experienced skaters at that time. So we had to stand around on the carpet for 10 minutes before we could even start. Then the area in the middle of the rink is coned off and reserved for "beginning" skaters. If I'm being honest I hadn't been skating in almost 30 years so I considered myself a beginner - getting back into skates is NOT like riding a bike, LOL! So my husband took two kids and I took two kids and we had to shuffle our way across the floor through the mob of experienced skaters to get to the middle, which was mobbed with beginners. It wasn't easy trying to use skates with one kid falling and pulling your arm down on the right and another doing the same thing on the left. Once we made it to the middle, they CLEARED THE BLEEPING FLOOR again. So back out we went. That happened about 3 times before someone had to go to the bathroom, which, BTW, is more slippery than the rink floor. People were falling over all over it, and not just us. After we were allowed back out on the floor, we tried one more go around (and by then the kids were starting to gain a little confidence and doing better, as were my husband and I), but after a significant fall causing one of them to cry, they all wanted to bail. Hubby and I discussed maybe going back for a date night, but they're only open for like, 2-4 hours at a time, once or twice a day. No wonder it's so busy! Not to mention that I had really hoped there'd be some skating walkers for the kids but there wasn't, not that there would be any room for them on the rink even if there was. They really need to work on figuring out a better schedule, with more open hours or more times set aside for specific areas of expertise. They also need to get some of those skating walkers for the kids. There was no way I could have enjoyed my time hanging on to two kids the whole time, when I could have helped them shuffle along on their own with a walker while they got used to the feeling and skill of skating. Not to mention that there wasn't even a railing to grab. The place sucks, bottom line, and I don't think I'll ever go back. My kids liked roller skating, but hated the place, and asked for skates for their birthday so they could roller skate at home where they "have room." And honestly if an 8 year old and three 6.5 year olds are saying that, then it's gotta be pretty bad. read more

My visit to Roller Kingdom this weekend reminded me how much I love roller skating. Adults get in free with kids on Saturday afternoon skate. Guy collecting money at the door and the music announcer were appropriately apathetic. Referee skate guys helped keep all the crazy fast roller bladers from crashing into the 5 year olds as they made their way to the middle of the floor to practice. Afternoon SEC college football game was on the projection screen all afternoon so you could catch the scores. An overall good wholesome time at the Roller Kingdom! read more

The gold standard in local roller skating! Roller Kingdom provides a place to lace up the skates and not feel like you're going to get shot. The music is Top 40, the snack bar is adequate, the arcade machines are 10 years old and the little bugger who just dived at your legs is 6, tops. The lighting has become less early 80's since the late 90's, but they didn't lose their disco ball. Minus one star for perpetuating the Hokey-Pokey dance. read more

First, let me say both of my kids had birthday parties here this year after attending other parties. This is my first time bringing my kids here without a large group and I have to say it was very frustrating and embarrassing to hear "lady you can't just sit there, you need to get up" over the loud speaker after my crying child fell and I fell trying to help her up. I wasn't expecting to be scolded over the loud speaker for falling in the practice area at what I thought would be a family friendly rink. read more

We rented out the rink for my husbands birthday and it was so fantastic. I didn't realize how many would love it. From booking the rink to the staff cleaning up after the party the whole process was wonderful. The floor was a great size, they played a a slideshow that I made of my husband on the big screen which was amazing and the music and lights were so much fun adding to an already awesome party. At least 6 different party goers were asking about the rental. You cannot beat the pricing for what you get a private party at a cool place. Went there on a Sunday afternoon with 3 kids. We were not there for a birthday, but there was a boatload of people of who were and just as many who weren't -it was really crowded. That said, the staff did a terrific job managing the crowd. The floor doesn't look great, but it rides pretty well and the rink is a good size. The roller blades for rent were uncomfortable - though, the regular skates were good. The pizza was ok but the fried dough was not. To wrap it up, while the music was decent, the endless interruptions for competitions made skating aggravating. The kids had fun doing laser tag too - at a small extra cost. I would not go back on a Sunday afternoon, that's for sure, but overall, the kids had a good time. Though, they weren't eager to go back there either. I don't often write reviews, but being a business owner myself, I can recognize a facility who really goes the extra mile to run a great business and ensure all it's skaters, from beginners to advanced, have a great time. The rink itself is large and has a very well-maintained smooth surface. Really fun to skate, no matter what your ability level. They set a fun and upbeat ambiance with music and lights to go along with this highly energetic activity. They do races, dances, and different skating themes to break up the sessions and keep it interesting, and they offer laser tag as well. The staff are one of the reasons that this business is so successful. They are all really great people and are always doing their best to help everyone to ensure they are having a good time. The on-rink skating monitors are tireless in protecting beginner and fallen skaters and do such a great job at keeping everyone safe. One thing worth noting that has been really important to me is that they keep this facility immaculate. The staff descend upon the entire facility after each skating session (and during) and wipe down all tangible surfaces as well as the bathrooms and keep this place super clean. This is so important, especially during the winter months when you have a lot of people going through. It makes it much more fun to spend time there knowing we have the very best chance of staying healthy while out in public. They do get very busy at times - but I think this is a testament of the sheer amount of regulars who return to the rink. The different skating sessions offered (weekend day versus weekday and weekend nights) have a very different tempo with beginner to intermediate and advanced ratio (as well as lots of birthday party attendants) - so if you want to skate regularly or go as a family outing - best to try out the different sessions and see what fits your style and speed best, as they are very different from one-another.
