Late delivery... Missing items... Do not deliver in the way promised... Bait and switch their prices.... and... they farm the shipment out to a company that you did not hire giving them no responsibility to hold up their end of the deal. Some similarities to Miranda's story below. They farm out their shipping, if they tell you it will be delivered in a certain way THEY ARE LIEING. Had a large shipment needed to go to Atlanta from Las Vegas. Quoted me $4,000 ending up being $4,900 (same bait and switch as Miranda's review) For some reason they split it into 2 shipments. We requested a scheduled delivery multiple times and I was assured that I would have a scheduled delivery (this was crucial).... nope.... neither currier that they farmed this out to was informed we needed a scheduled delivery. i can't really blame it on the delivering party when it happens to BOTH shipments when 2 separate companies delivering the shipments both say that they did not ask for scheduled delivery..... and even if they did... still their fault for farming the shipment out to companies that don't deliver to their clients as promised. NOT EVEN THE WORST YET, A very important part if the shipment was MISSING, an entire large road case just never made it. This thing is about the size of a love seat.... how do you loose something that big???? I'm stunned. I won an auction in Las Vegas and needed (qty. 12) scanners picked up, palletized and shipped to Minnesota. I called Navis and barely uttered two words when Mitchell, the employee, hung the phone up on my ear, for no reason. I immediately called back and he did it, again. It's tough to move cross country, but we've managed to do it twice in under a year with very little incident--our entire household. So when I needed to move 6 boxes, 1 mirror, and 1 painting from Las Vegas to Brooklyn, NY, I thought it would be a piece of cake. Boy, was I wrong. A real moving company won't move you unless you can guarantee a certain amount of weight, which left me struggling to find some way to move these few things (other than driving, since our flights were already booked). Navis seemed to be the answer to my prayers, but other than the initial sales pitch phone call with John, very little else went smoothly. John quoted me a price of $800 & told me it would take 5 days for our shipment to reach us. He said the shipment would be delivered on a palette to my home address. When I expressed worry about them depositing a palette of our belongings on a city street, I was told not to worry about it--that the driver could cut the palette open on the truck and hand me the boxes one by one. OK, great--I signed on. $800, 5 days, home delivery. It turned out to be $1100. Fine, whatever, the weight was higher than estimated. But when you think that it cost us $5000 to move the contents of a 3 bedroom bungalow 3500 miles, $1100 seems unreasonable. It took 20 days. TWENTY DAYS. Not five. There was nothing I could do but wait, since Navis insists you pay for the entire thing up front--you have no recourse. They didn't even load the things onto a truck bound for NYC until July 30--11 days after they picked up our things. I was given a tracking code to check on a website, where I could see each day where our things were. The delivery date kept changing, and on the website, it said that residential deliveries could expect to be contacted by phone to schedule a delivery time. Two days after my "expected delivery time," I called the 1-800 number on the website. They tried twice to reach the scheduling person at the local warehouse where my things were being held hostage. They finally connected me to her and we arranged something for the next day. Why should it be MY responsibility to do this? How long would my things have sat in a warehouse if I hadn't taken initiative to make the call? Finally, the delivery guy refused to unload the things the way John from Navis assured me would be fine. He insisted on dropping the palette in the street. At my insistence, he took the palette back with him, but left all of the garbage (shrink wrap, etc.) behind for me to dispose of. Good news is my things are all here and survived the move. I'm giving one star for poor management of expectations. It's not cool to pull the old bait and switch--to promise one thing to make the sale, when you have no idea if the things you're guaranteeing are accurate. Truth is, once your things leave Las Vegas, Navis has farmed them out and has seemingly no idea how the process will go from there. If you have a few boxes to move, USPS is the answer. read more

I was sent a damaged chair. I discarded the packing box before I discovered the chair was imperfect. To receive a refund I had to ship the chair and ottoman, which weighed slightly less than one hundred pounds, to Lake Havasu, Arizona. I solicited three estimates, Navis was less than half the highest, and a hundred and fifty dollars less than the middle estimate. Navis was busy, but arranged a pick-up in five days. The deliverymen showed up precisely on time. They were pleasant and fast. The chair was shipped, as promised, three days later. Navis Pack and ship were hired because of their expertize in shipping and navigating the complicated process of delivering items internationally. This is what their website claims that they have 25 years experience in this business. We hired them because they said they could ship this successfully and I have an email which I am more than willing to upload to this website that provides written evidence that they were aware of the contents of what I was shipping. Of course we are upset and very disappointed at the lack of care, help and responsibility that this company has shown us after spending almost $9000. They want to wash their hands of it and blame us the customer. In the meantime all our goods are stuck in Spain with customs. Again UPS advised us on Nov 2nd, 2011 that Navis did not complete the paperwork correctly and that this was their responsibility and NOT OURS. UPS notified us on Nov 2nd about this issue and said that either Navis needed to complete the paperwork correctly or the goods would have to be shipped back. We advised them that if the paperwork by Navis could not be completed correctly that we did not want our goods to be destroyed and would want them back. However UPS in Spain had to wait for Navis in Las Vegas, NV to advise on whether they were going to do the paperwork correctly or if the goods were to be returned. However we have been in contact with UPS who have been very helpful in keeping us posted. At this point now almost 6 weeks later Navis has STILL NOT responded to the request from UPS to approve shipping our stuff back to the USA or completing the paperwork. Now if things aren't bad enough that we are out almost $9,000 plus almost $10,000 for the items that we shipped, Navis has now incurred an additional $8000 approx of storage fees that UPS Spain is charging. We can provide written email proof that Navis choose to not respond to the request of UPS Spain and subsequently has created these additional charges. This is because UPS Spain will not take direction from us since we did not HIRE THEM directly. Navis did and they are the sole responsible party here. Would'nt any customer be upset at spending almost $9,000 on shipping (incidentally this is about 3x what UPS charges if you go to them directly), losing all their stuff that cost approx $10,000 that we still don't have and working with a company that doesn't care! Trying doing a google search on Navis (Navis Pack and Ship) for all their complaints and you will see what we mean. read more
