That said; We really enjoyed our stay here at Little Creek Campground... While we did get rained out, the two days and one night we got to spend were nice. We were looking for something a little more woodsy and secluded and this fit our needs great. Most of the tent sites are off in the woods a bit, so you must hike in a bit (like, a couple hundred feet) which is worth it for the woodsy experience you get, in my opinion! Our site (#7) was spacious and clean-ish (c'mon, it's the woods) and there was placement for multiple small tents or one larger family tent. The sites are not terribly close together. You can her the hum of voices from your neighbors, but no actual voices carried over. Overall, it was great. For $10/night we will definitely be back!

There are less families than any other group of people but we still enjoy having a home-away-from-home. The routine is 14 days booked (with a minimal daily fee) and 7 days off-site (some storage available on site). Bathhouses, pavilion, overflow parking, clubhouse and some weekly events (during the summer) included. Laundry room available but we rarely use it. Dogs allowed with proper vaccines and license. There is a small dog park on site. We really enjoy the two pools (one with kiddie area and lifeguards).

There are a few turns that, at the very least, require some set up and thought for a large vehicle. By and large though, if you pay attention, you will be able to drive there with ease. Once in the campground, the roads are a bit tight for large vehicles. Again, with some careful driving, you are able to navigate, however, if you are someone who like tons of open space all around you when you drive, you may be a bit uncomfortable there. The campground has several semi-permanent mobile homes in the facility that give it a "trailer park" type feel - not in a bad way, just not in a "campground way." There are a few pools on property that were well kept, and very clean. In addition, walking throughout the day and night you feel safe and uninhibited. Most likely, we will visit this place again.

In five years, I have never left a complaint, but the hazardous conditions in the cabins forced me to speak up. (Note: See attached photos of the mold/mushrooms).As a professional house cleaner by trade, I look at facilities with an expert eye. The current upkeep fails basic industry safety and sanitation standards:Structural & Sanitation Hazards: There is a dangerous 2x2 foot dip in the bathroom subfloor right between the door and the toilet, poorly covered by laminate. Combined with active mold and wild mushrooms growing along the shower tub, this indicates severe, unaddressed water rot.Extenuating Cleaning Costs: The cabin sanitation and linens were so poor that I had to drive 20 minutes back home across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel to grab my own professional cleaning supplies and bedding. This cost us precious vacation time and extra peak weekend tolls just to make a paid cabin safe. Neglected Pool Safety: During extreme heat, the pool was packed with nearly 100 guests. No staff checked the pH levels, and a severe lack of umbrellas left families unprotected from the sun. Severe Understaffing: At checkout, the line was backed up out the door with only a single employee working the desk. Prices continue to rise every year while cleanliness and safety plummet. Management must urgently replace the rotting bathroom floors and invest in deep cleaning before a guest gets seriously injured.
