Last weekend we stay the embassy suite hotel for my husbands birthday and from the moment of…read morechecking in to getting into our room, the staff is very polite and very nice of helping me surprise him for his birthday. Staying here you do have some perks they give you a complementary drink voucher for you to use during your day and it's for each day for you to get two drinks during happy hour which is from 4 to 6pm and snacks are included with that. Breakfast was well served and well prepared. They had every section to breakfast classic foods as well as if you want it it's more of like quick and simple like cereal, bread, toast, and then they have their own station of omelette where they had a chef that would prepare it based off of what you requested. The layout is very nice. I love how they gave us wristbands instead of a key card for our rooms and to use the elevator. It's very secure as well as being able to not have to carry around a hotel key to get in and out of your room as well as any other areas where it has access to it. The vibe itself for the hotel it definitely gives you like a vacation outside of your classic beach vibe because you have pools. You have an indoor pool and an outdoor pool and a restaurants. this right there called tacos and tequila. They are currently opened but I we'll highly recommend getting there during their non-peak hours, and their food is amazing. Their Baja fish taco is my favorite to get from there. They also give you the option for parking valet parking as well as parking pass, which is the overnight rate which is $25 an hour and you can go in and out of a parking lot. That's another thing I did like about that general area where the other hotels including this one is that they have a parking garage where you're not obligated to have to to get another ticket or get charged extra for going out if you needed to so I didn't think that's a good perk for me by that wants to stay and have a staycation but still has to do some type of things throughout the day. I would highly recommend going to these hotels. The room service from the restaurant option is the restaurant where you get the complementary drinks from and they are operating throughout the night even later hours and I do find that very convenient for people that like to go out like Myself and wanna have like a nice good bite or even dinner our late night dinner I got their salmon which was really good. This location is definitely a hidden gem You're kinda in your own oasis away from home, but you're in Virginia Beach because they have it set up where it's essentially like you're on a private island and you just have like the view point of the beach and they offered other enemies, including beach, chairs, umbrellas, and stuff with your say so that's also a good thing for people that want to just get away for a little bit but wanna stay in Virginia Beach so I highly recommend staying here as an option if you're looking for something that has a little bit of everything and you have nearby access to other things like the other restaurants that are in that same area.

The staff really made our stay exceptional--huge shoutout to Ryan and Clinton at the front desk and Billy and Abdullah at the restaurant. They were all fantastic! Being a bit north of the main boardwalk action means there aren't as many walkable activities nearby, but if you don't mind a short drive, you'll get the best quality stay in the area. Perfect for families looking for a more relaxed and elevated beach experience.

Cons: -They pre-charge your card when they book which is, a slight annoyance. - My room reeked of cigarette smoke, even though it is a non-smoking room. I personally just hate cigarette smoke. -The interior is very dated (although you can tell there are elements in the room that were updated) -The elevator takes, literally, forever. I was on the seventh floor and still took the stairs ;) -The pool looks pretty gross, and the fitness center is minimal (probably not important to others) -Only one person at the desk, and the desk is almost always occupied (keep in mind I was here during high season) I enjoyed my stay, but it's definitely not a repeat.

While we went in the off-season (November), we noticed the hotel was well-maintained and clean. The front desk staff, especially Kol and Alexia, were super friendly, helpful, and efficient anytime we needed assistance, especially when we needed to arrive later than expected during check-in. The only issue we encountered during our stay (which we did not mention to staff) was that many electrical outlets in the room struggled to hold in a plug, so it became difficult to charge devices as only a few were in the room were functional. That said, this was only a minor inconvenience and we would definitely revisit this hotel when back in the area.

I visited during off-peak season so noise and traffic wasn't too big of an issue at the hotel. I wouldn't want to stay here during the busier times in the summer. I loved how much ocean soundscapes I could hear from the 5th floor balcony. The view was beautiful and the room felt quiet. Something I super appreciated. The only gripes I had was the mandatory valet parking and the extremely low shower pressure. The sink had drainage issues too. I also ran out of towels during my overnight stay. There's no suite, dresser, or closet in the room either. So think short-term stays. I still wouldn't mind returning again in the future and wouldn't hesitate recommending the place to anyone thinking of visiting. The downstairs lobby has breakfast spot as well as a bar and coffee shop. The concierge was friendly and very accommodating. Shoutout to Alexander for making sure everything was set up just right for my visit. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!

Overall, we had a wonderful three night stay at the Moxy Oceanfront. We selected this spot because…read moreit was dog-friendly and relatively cheaper (with decent reviews) compared to other pet-friendly hotels on the boardwalk. Our three-night stay in March, which was booked in November, was about $250 per night. Although there was a half marathon happening in the area, I think our rate (booked through a 3rd party) was on the lower end because March is still considered the off season. The hotel itself is quite modern compared to the other more dated hotels in the area. It definitely is geared to younger crowd (20s-30s) because of design, layout, the amount of video games, the bar with snazzy cocktails, and of course an indoor slide that goes from the 2nd to the 1st floor. For our purposes, I thought our room was fine for two adults and a dog. Compared to other places I have stayed, the room was a bit small. However, we're the type of people who only use the room for sleeping so not having a huge amount of space is not a deal breaker for us. Although our room had a partial ocean view (on the south side of the building), the view was still impressive. My spouse did have a minor complaint in that the rooms did not have a dresser or a closet, but the room has plenty of hooks/hangers where you can hang your things along the walls. Although the hotel is not in the "central" area of the boardwalk (around 21st street), it is still located in a nice section of the boardwalk that is walking distance to a wide array of restaurants, bars and other attractions. For example, the hotel is next door to the Wildfowl Museum. ;) Valet is about 11 bucks per night. In general, there were no major issues with valet services. Unfortunately, there was a minor issue in that the hotel overbooked valet parking due to an event it was hosting. However, that situation did not affect us too much with the exception of a slightly longer than normal wait. Everyone on the staff with whom I interacted were friendly and very professional. Also, I thought the cleaning crew did a great job with maintaining the hotel. Although the hotel is pet-friendly, I did not smell old/wet dog/cat odors in the common areas or hallways. If we decided to stay on the Oceanfront, we definitely will keep the Moxy in consideration.

When we first purchased our timeshare week, we had visions of visiting Virginia Beach every summer with our kids. Then, life got in the way so we used the unit less than we had initially planned. We continue to pay maintenance fees, and were trying to figure out how best to utilize the unit on an annual basis. Sometimes, we did utilize the unit ourselves. Once or twice, friends used the unit. Once or twice, we rented it out through the resort's rental program (at a loss). Another time, we rented it out through TUG (at a small profit). About five years ago, we found VB Timeshare Rentals, and have rented out our unit every year since with them. The company has been wonderful to work with. The transactions are handled professionally, with contracts, tax forms, etc. In addition, Jessica has been a good communicator. We have made a small profit in all but one year (during COVID), but to be honest, we're relieved to at least cover the maintenance fees. The company has been great about sending the pay out check very soon after the unit was occupied. We highly recommend this company for your timeshare rental needs.

The rooms we rented were exactly what showed on the rental agreement. At check out to receive a printed receipt showing a ZERO balance at least made a sad day of my vacation ending much nicer . Will definitely use their services again.

Pros: Location- directly on the beach and the views from the room were amazing Accommodations - Room 601 was an upgrade for our stay and was perfect for our family of three. Floor to ceiling windows, a huge bathroom, large separate living room with a flat screen tv and pull out couch and a small balcony for coffee Customer service - staff was kind and friendly Restaurant/bar - I think the bartender on Saturday night had ESP and brought our drinks in record time all evening Cons: The hotel has signs of wear and tear and could use a little touching up. Breakfast- we were a little disappointed with the breakfast. At 7:30 am on a Friday, they were out of turkey sausage and spinach, staples for health-conscious diners. The gym is very small. No turkey sausage or spinach for my omelette at 7:30am

Unfortunately, the rooms themselves felt outdated, and the pool areas weren't as clean as I expected. The service was just average, which surprised me for a Hilton property. The staff member helped them before me without acknowledging me or apologizing, which felt disappointing. Overall, it's not a bad hotel, but for the premium price, I expected better service, more updated rooms, and cleaner amenities. I don't feel it offered the value I was hoping for.
