If I could give a negative rating I would. I would like to first state that this place does not…read morerespond to messages through their website, or through Facebook. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of them unless you call. I will start my experience off by saying that I called the dealer the day prior to my visit and asked if financing would be available. The man on the phone tells me that I would have to either bring my own financing or I'd have to pay cash as the vehicle was a consignment car (the owner of the vehicle is going through the dealership to sell the car). The next day I make a 3 hour trip up to Statesville, NC to purchase this vehicle. I make it there and the first thing I notice is how run down the place looks. There is a dingy smell and mold in the back room and it just seems off. I speak to the man at the desk and ask him about the vehicle and he ask if I'm aware of it being a consignment car, I say yes and notify him that I have my own financing through my bank. He says he cannot sell it without a certified check, and has to call his boss to see if there is a different way. I call my bank and they say that the funds will be wired and he agrees that is good as well. I test drive the car and get back. I have the document ready and printed off. The paperwork is prepared and ready for signatures. Documents are faxed to the bank, and I'm ready to leave. Everything is running smoothly and the man says that I cannot use my loan, and that he thought I was paying cash and says I told him cash when I got there, which I did not. I'm told I'd have to get a personal loan in order to buy the car. I call the bank and I cannot get another loan as I already have an active loan, which means that I made a 3 hour drive there and back, and was given false hope just to leave empty handed. To make the whole situation worse when I get back home I see the car listed for more and then removed from the website. I do not recommend this place to anyone and I never will.

When I rolled up, my main man Matt was super friendly (even though I started off by forgetting his name .) He asked questions about the car and filled me in on a couple of the issues I had been having; walked me through pricing on a couple of things without being pushy. While the car was getting worked on I was updated with pictures/video of how things were looking. Paying and picking up was super easy. Everyone I talked to at the dealership was super friendly and kind. Overall great experience and expect to do business with them again in the future

One of my tires had a red dot on it, as it was a new replacement after a flat. It was in the same position as when I drove in. Had an 11:00 am appointment and service took almost a full hour. Came out, signed their paperwork and saw the marked tire. Spoke with service manager Matt and he said they'd do it right away, sorry for my wait and that the tech (Colin Walsh) was an hourly employee and "would not be working there anymore starting Monday". I drove an hour to return to Flow, where I purchased the car in June, thinking perhaps loyalty would matter. I'm only 20 minutes from Modern Hyundai in Concord, so I'll be going there from now on, hoping they don't literally lie to the customer the way Flow did.

Frank took my deposit in April and ordered me one. It was set to be made late May and delivered mid June. The plant these are made at is across the border from Niagara in Canada, so transit to NC shouldn't take long. However there is a backup due to lack of truck drivers so my vehicle arrived about a month+ later than expected. Frank and I kept in contact weekly as I needed the vehicle asap. He nor the dealership had control over delivery and really couldn't give good information on transit. Then I received the call it was on the lot and I could pick up the next day! I arrived at my scheduled time of 3. There were adequate staff that helped me through the paperwork which took about 45 mins, I was very happy with that! The detailers were cleaning the car as we knocked out the paperwork. I did have to wait an additional hour for this process that could have been done prior to my arrival. Once complete a different employee offered to walk me through all the bells and whistles. This was great as previous purchases at other dealerships have not offered this. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase experience at Flow Honda Statesville! I absolutely love the car too!!!

On the way there my girlfriend's car had developed an issue that had dashboard lights flashing. Sarah Wilke got that issue resolved gratis in less than 30 minutes. John Stonetreet closed the deal in finance. There were several hiccups after sale that were more than satisfied. A good group that needs to be commended.

If you are headed to this dealership, read this first. There is one practice here that I can only…read morecall deceptive, and it will cost you almost a thousand dollars you never saw coming. The car is listed online at one price. When I asked them to send me the numbers, I expected to see the vehicle price, taxes, and the doc fee. Instead, the very first worksheet they sent, before any discounts, already had a roughly $990 "Resistall" undercoating package built into it. I never asked for it. It appears nowhere in the price they advertise online. You only find out about it once you sit down to get the real financials. I asked to have it removed, and Ben Scott would not take it off, having it conveyed to me through my sales rep that it is some kind of mandatory practice. There is nothing mandatory about it. Forcing a $990 spray onto a 2021 with 7,000 miles that already carries a factory corrosion warranty, and refusing to remove it, is a deceptive practice, plain and simple. There is also a $999 "doc fee." This one is at least posted on the website listing, so credit for disclosing it, but it is still BS. North Carolina has no law requiring a dealer to charge a doc fee, so $999 is a number this dealership chose. For reference, the title and tag work on my deal, the actual government paperwork, was itemized at $113, and the real cost of processing the paperwork is under $50. Their $999 is also above the North Carolina state average of around $799. To be fair, they did discount the car. The worksheet shows $988 off which brings it to an even $20,000, and that is a perfectly reasonable price for a five year old Golf. I had no problem with the price. My problem is what they stack on top of it. A fair price should just be a fair price. Instead, once you are in, they pile on nearly two thousand dollars in fees you cannot decline, a doc fee you do not legally owe and a spray you never asked for. They offered $500 off which still means I would pay $1,500 in fluff. If you still buy here, negotiate the out the door total, not the sticker, and do not believe anyone who tells you the undercoating or the doc fee is required. Neither one is. Update: Ben Scott called me on his cell phone to berate me for this review. I asked him to point out the inaccuracies and he said they discounted it off. You see the worksheet I attached. $990 for a coating. Not sure what to tell him. Really pleasant experience from someone I hadn't previously spoken to.
