I am writing to formally express my disappointment and frustration regarding the service I recently received for my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. On May 31, I brought my truck to your dealership for three specific services: Engine oil and filter change. Transmission fluid and filter service. Diagnosis and repair of a recurring "Service Parking Brake" issue. At the time of drop-off, I clearly explained that whenever the Service Parking Brake message appeared, I would lose the ability to engage or disengage the electronic parking brake. I was informed that a diagnostic fee would be required, which I agreed to pay. After your diagnosis, I was told the parking brake actuator was the cause of the problem. Based on your professional recommendation, I authorized the repair and paid the invoice in full. Unfortunately, the exact same problem returned the very same day I picked up the vehicle. That Friday evening, I was stranded for approximately three hours at a gas station because the parking brake would not release. After disconnecting the negative battery terminal and waiting, I was finally able to get the vehicle moving again. I immediately attempted to contact the dealership. No one returned my calls. The following day, Saturday, the problem occurred again, leaving me stranded for an additional two hours. Once again, no meaningful assistance or callback was provided despite multiple attempts to contact the dealership through phone calls, voicemail messages, and your text messaging system. On Monday, I was finally instructed to bring the vehicle back Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM. I arrived as requested and once again explained the situation in detail. However, throughout the day I received no updates. By approximately 4:00 PM, nobody had contacted me regarding the status of my vehicle. I had to call myself just to obtain information. The following day was no different. I made multiple calls and received little to no communication. Eventually, I was informed that additional charges would apply for reprogramming a module. This was completely unacceptable. The vehicle was being returned for the exact same issue that I had already paid your dealership to diagnose and repair. I had already paid for the diagnostic process and the recommended repair. Any additional work required because the original diagnosis failed should have been handled under warranty and without attempting to charge me again. What is even more disappointing is that after all of this, the Service Parking Brake warning returned yet again immediately after I picked up the vehicle. At this point: I paid for a diagnostic procedure. I paid for the repair recommended by your technicians. I lost multiple days without my vehicle. I spent several hours stranded at gas stations. I repeatedly had to chase updates because communication was virtually nonexistent. I was asked to pay additional money for a problem that was never resolved. Most importantly, I still have the exact same issue today. Now is worse because even the engine light is coming on From my perspective, this does not reflect a proper diagnostic process. It appears that parts are being replaced based on assumptions rather than a conclusive root-cause analysis. A professional diagnosis should identify the actual source of the failure, not simply replace components and hope the problem disappears. I trusted your dealership because I expected factory-trained technicians, professional communication, and accurate troubleshooting. Instead, I have spent significant time, money, and effort and remain with an unreliable vehicle and the same unresolved problem. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I have received and hope management takes this matter seriously. read more

Keep sending me service specials in the mail. After taking my Silverado Z71 in for a service and after service going out to get in my very well taken care of truck I was in shock. There was black hand prints everywhere. Grease was on the seats,consol,dash, visors,doors,carpet and even on outside of doors. Buying experience was great , salesman was great . 2nd oil change I wanted to buy window vent visors , factory tow hooks and floor mats for my 2022 Silverado . The parts counter employee wearing a mopar performance t shirt suggested I order what I want online . I don't order online , I like buying in person . I ordered my parts at a GMC dealership in Monroe . Recently noticed door stop on my drivers door was broken . I called , after a lengthy argument with the service department I convinced them to look at it . I drive 2-1/2 hours back to the dealership where I bought my truck , they look . I go out front to see my salesman , as I walk back into the Check in bay I see 3 service writers watching the mechanic fix my door . The mechanic sprayed lube on the hinge and tightened the bolt fastening it to the cab/body . Sarcastically the mechanic says "amazing" and the 4 employees laugh at the vehicle owner (not realizing I had just walked in ). Like it was a simple fix and I should have just done it myself . So , again I point out the mechanic the black middle hinge (door stop) is broken , needs to be replaced . Not sure how the mechanic could put the socket on the bolt to tighten it without noticing the break , but I helped him with his eye sight issue . He removes the bolt , then decides to shut the door and drive the truck to body shop to replace the part. Truck is done , I'm given my key and told I'm all set . I walk out to my truck to find a black block of styrofoam packing material stuck to the exterior of my door and a greasy hand print on my white truck where the mechanic touched it and didn't clean his grease off . I remove the foam rubber and return it to the service writer and express my dissatisfaction with the service I'd received. I wipe the grease off my door then open it to get in my truck . In the door jam the paint is scratched where the mechanic left the hinge/door stop unbolted and closed the door to drive my truck across the parking lot . I go in the showroom to make them aware , they are reluctant to deal with me but finally the finance manager comes to see the damage . He was highest in command at the time of my visit . He did agree he wouldn't want his truck scratched . He did agree it wouldn't increase the value of my truck . It wouldn't have been a big deal if the mechanic hadn't already been laughing at me and all the other stellar interaction . Richard petty was my hero as a kid , but Dale Earnhardt is a legend and if this is how this place operates you should put a different name on the building . What an embarrassment . Worst service I have ever had, mechanics trying to tell me what I can and cant do with my own vehicle, labor charge out the roof and to beat it all went for oil change [different shop] and the guy says hey who ever worked on your truck last left the engine cover loose these high dollar Chevrolet place didn't even put all the bolts back in. This place is behind the times by about 10yrs. It's a place your relative sends you to because he went to grade school with your uncle. Every single person I came across made me feel this. The service waiting area needs to be gutted and replaced. It's been a dozen years since I waited in a room with nothing but a TV and chairs. Let me start with saying this purchase was my best experience i have ever had with a dealer in my years of purchasing cars, as i am a fanatic car lover. I live in california and i was in search of a truck and found one at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet dealer, i called and even though John Saunders knew i was from way the other side of the U.S. he treated me like if i was local, he was so patient in providing me all the information i wanted, he sent me the carfax and build sheet. I kept calling him and asking questions and he would have the professionalism of still remaining very patient with me and friendly(not like big dealers that want you in there lot in order to talk). I decided to take a plane to Charlotte N.C. and Dale Earnhardt offered me to pick me up at the airport, no matter if it was closing hours, John Saunders made everything so easy, i felt at home. He showed me the truck and we went on a test drive, he wanted me to make sure i was happy before, i took the truck home. Greeted me with so much respect and his main focus was not to push me into buying something i wasn't sure (like big dealers) but to make sure i was 100% satisfied. I ended up taking the truck home and it was the greatest experience in my life. Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet is not there just to sale you a vehicle and then your history, Dale Earnhardt is a dealer that makes you part of the family. John, kept on following up on me making sure i had made it safe. I wish they had dealers here in California that would do what Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet does to their customers, its all about preferred customer service with Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet. For those that live in North Carolina, before going to a BIG dealers, just cause you see so many vehicle on their lot, don't get fooled, give Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet a chance, you would be surprised on what they can do for you, if you don't see what your looking for, they can get it. Be a preferred Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet customer and you won't regret it, see John Saunders his not just a salesman but family. We will never take a car back to Earnhardt's to be worked on! Was told that numerous things were wrong with my car and was given an estimate to fix including parts and labor of $6,500-7,000. Took my car taken to a nearby garage and the TOTAL bill was $450! After talking to other people, I have heard the same type of stories. I was very reluctant to buy a new car, but after talking with the DEC mechanics I knew that my previous vehicle was not worth repairing. I was guided through several options for new vehicles (new and used, including the recent deals offered from Chevrolet), test drove more than I thought I would, and offered a very fair price for my old vehicle. I was given every piece of information I needed and then left alone to make my decision, which was great.
