The shop is fairly small but always sparkling clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, too. I mainly get lamb and goat here and is for the most part the only place in Gainesville I trust for either. At times they have pre-packaged lamb, including "without bone" which is great for curries and stews. If it doesn't say "without bone" or something similar, it has bone as well as would stew lamb at Publix. Their chicken is fine, I've not tried their beef nor fish so I cannot comment on that but highly recommend them for lamb and goat. They are open every day except for Mondays--just like the India Bazaar.

We stopped by a few days after they opened to check out the new space and selection of offerings. Our visit was mid-afternoon on a Tuesday in July, and it was busy but not too crowded. There is a private parking lot, and it was no problem getting a spot and entering the business. It is located right off the main drag, and is relatively easy to get in and out of. The building is nice and new, and there was plenty to look at and see once inside. On the left upon entering is the cashier/order counter for the restaurant portion. They also have a drive-thru for ordering food as well. On the right side is the actual store. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Since I was unfamiliar with the brand not being from the area, they answered my questions and gave some good information on the business. It was interesting to learn that they will deliver and ship within most of the state of Florida! I enjoyed perusing the selection in the retail side - there was a ton of beef, both fresh and frozen, to purchase. In addition, there was produce, spices, and other smaller grocery items. They also sold various merchandise! They also had signage for how to purchase a portion of a cow from them, in various increments all the way up to an entire cow. This would be a great option for a family looking to stock up their freezer. Knowing a little bit about the area, it seems like this shop will do well, and is most definitely worth giving a visit. I heard great things about the burgers, and it seems like their meat is popular. Especially with the closing of Winn Dixie in Chiefland, this is a great place to get local, quality beef. I very much enjoyed visiting this newly-opened spot, and hope to be back to try some of the menu on my next visit to the area!

I bought steaks, hamburger, dog bones, pork chops, and a few others. I felt sick almost immediately after eating a steak from here. The best day my dog got sick after chewing kn one of their dog bones. Two days later I made pork chops that tasted like metal and blood. And finally grilled a hamburger that tasted gritty and stunk! $100 of meat went in the trash after that.

The place serves in two different ways... first, they are a fish market, and you can get a large variety of different seafoods there. Prices aren't bad, certainly better than other shops in the same area, and a lot more variety as well. Inside, I went through the menu that they have. They are a counter service as well as the fish market, and you can get a number of different items cooked up right there to eat. I went for a cod sandwich and fries, which was the closest thing they had to fish and chips. The wait was nominal, as they had to fry up the food and get the fries together. Staff were pleasant, despite the apparent rush, and I got my food in short order. Eating it was a good time. The sandwich was excellent. The fries... they were good initially, but they don't really hold up over time. Not a big deal if you are sitting there and eating them immediately, though. Definitely worth the stop, and I will be back.
