Saturday April 18 at 10:00 am - I called the urgent care here and I asked to speak to a nurse. I've taken my parents, my daughter and myself here multiple times yearly for the last several years as I'm local in buffalo grove. This morning I called and asked to speak to someone in urgent care - he asked my birthdate and confirmed my identity , then I asked to speak to a medical professional and or a nurse and he said if this is for you - we don't do this - you haven't been to see us for "you" since 2025 so "we don't allow you to speak to anyone for any medical questions" which is an outright lie - as I've done this for my parents myself and my daughter many times and the nurses were helpful when they weren't blocked by this extremely rude man that I was speaking to that refused to give me their hours and chose to argue with me and repeat that I was wrong "they would never speak to you on the phone - We Don't Do That Here" - kept lying and I had to raise my voice and say multiple times what their hours are - and finally he said we're open till 3 and hung up. The rudest worst experience here ever - my Doctor is named Mamou and I go to him with my daughter and I actually met him here at the urgent care as he occasionally does help out here. I will let him and his whole office know how rudely I was treated today and I will tell everyone I know in Buffalo Grove at this horrible experience at This Endeavor Health Urgent Care - and how they treat a regular customer who's ill with a question !!! read more

Their billing department is incompetent! I am being threatened with collections for the past few months only because they do not communicate with my insurance. They sent me a bill that is $200 more than I am supposed to pay according to my insurance's explanation of benefits. BEWARE of incompetent billing department and check you bill against your insurance EOB before you pay anything! read more

It is called Immediate Care, but they bill you for Outpatient Hospital visit. The bills are huge! This is outrageous.

I have been there 5-6 times. The wait to get into a treatment room is typically short. Waiting times in the room can be a while. Staff are friendly and helpful. They were always able to diagnose my condition or treat my injury and prescribe meds as needed. read more

New building is poorly designed and had horrible signage. There literally was no sign directly people when you walk in the door. The layout is poorly designed with no clear place to go. The immediate care was busy, but insanely slow. Wait if 1-2 hours. I thought the benefits of a medical group and everything in one building would be good, but this is a very bad sign. I went to this place (on a Sunday) because I had cut my finger with a serrated knife. I am a healthcare professional and waited awhile because I thought I could "heal it" myself. Big mistake. I got there and within minutes was seen by a physician. My thumb took 6 stitches to close up the wound. Everyone was wonderful. The place was old but clean. Staff were efficient and kind. read more

Now that NCH is owned by NorthShore, I had an absolutely horrible experience going here for covid booster. Why would you have folks wait around sick people to get a covid booster is ridiculous and then to be told to leave the premises when I complained about that is a terrible way to treat people. I came to NCH with my son who was sick. The lady named Lisa who was assisting at the desk was extremely rude. I been working in healthcare for almost 10 years now and I never had treated my patients like this ever in my life or never showed them attitude when they walk in. I had always greeted and cared them with respect. I sat down and watched how her behavior was with other people who walked in there and I realized that it was just us as we are colored and one thing was clear that it was clearly racial. This kind of employees are a shame for the facility which can lead to very bad customer satisfaction.Over all We had a very good experience with rest of all the staffs in NCH including the nurse, doctor and other front desk staffs who helped my son and we are extremely thankful for that and all the hard-work you are offering to this community. My only request is please educate your staff to be gentle to your patients as they are coming to your door for help not for a war or fight. Please please treat them with respect. I am hoping that nobody else will have to go through what we experienced during our visit here. Again such a good experience with all other staffs there and we are greatly appreciative for that. read more

I have only been here in recent years for pre-surgery Covid tests. In both cases, i was seen quickly and efficiently. As I recall, my brain was not probed by the swab used for the test. The only concern is that they billed $246 to Medicare for the test - what they were paid is still unclear. read more

You can read everywhere online that if you have a positive covid test that you can go to one of the immediate care centers and get at least one paxlovid pill. I was calling today to my primary care physician since 12 PM (every hour) with no results.. By 7PM I was feeling much sicker...Finally, at 7PM I went to the immediate care center which is in the same building as my physician just to have one paxlovid pill or a prescription for it. The immediate care center was empty at 7:30PM (except one guy whom they refused to see too). I was refused a service, because they told me that they need to to have a kidney test, etc. and only my primary care physician can do it. I had this blood test two weeks ago and the only thing they should've done is to open a computer (since I'm a patient of NCH). I even had my positive covid test with me. Basically, just "Please, call the Walgreens" visit. And I had similar visit with the skin infection 2 months ago, that was taken care very well and fast. And all people I know resolved the issue with the covid medicine over the phone. But not take care of a patient 30 minutes before closing, when facilities are empty???? And why to list 8Pm as a closing time? Keep it at 7PM if you don't want "walk ins" (which are "welcomed" there). Are they there to help people or what? I don't recommend this facility. read more

My experience at this urgent care facility was absolutely horrifying and completely unacceptable.  I went to have a splinter removed from under my nail bed.  I asked the person who I was told was a doctor, Regina (she was really a physician's assistant) if she was able to please numb my finger before trying to remove the splinter because I was already in a lot of pain and it was embedded deeply.  She told me that she was not able to do that.  So as I am laying on the hospital bed, she jabs the tweezers under my finger really hard two different times as I let out a blood curdling scream and blood starts gushing everywhere.  She then proceeds to tell me that she is in fact, able to numb my finger, but it will be very painful.  So she lied to me about not being able to numb it originally.  Not cool.  I don't appreciate being lied to.  And then she turns to me and rudely says, " well I almost had it but you moved".  Well of course I moved my hand after screaming in pain when she was so rough with me.   I then tell her that I am not comfortable with her touching me again and I would like to see another "doctor".  Regina was very rude, not friendly, and extremely unprofessional.  She then proceeds to storm out of the room and says in a condescending manner, " fine that is your choice. I will see if anyone else is available."  So after about 20 minutes the actual doctor on duty comes in and tells me that he can give me 4 very painful separate injections in my finger, but he is not sure he will be able to remove the splinter.  And he makes sure to let me know several different times how painful it is going to be.  I asked him if this was a complicated procedure and he told me that it was actually very basic.  Well, that was alarming as well.  A doctor telling me that the medical care I need is very basic and fairly simple, but he is not sure if he will be able to accomplish it?  That was another red flag in this whole experience.   I felt like this was his easy way of getting me to leave so he did not have to deal with the medical issue at hand honestly.  He then asks me if I would like a referral for a specialist.  I tell him no (I mean why would I want a referral from anyone at this place after the way I was treated) and then decide it is best to just leave.  So on my way out, I ask the receptionist for the name of the doctor that first saw me.  She refuses to tell me and then hands me a card with a written number on it and says to call the patient advocate and and she will let me know.  And she then informs me that the employee was not actually a doctor like I had been told.  I was in disbelief.  So I left totally upset.  And after driving away I realized that they sent me away without signing any discharge papers or giving me any after care instructions.  I went back and told the receptionist that I need a copy of my discharge papers and after it is printed out I am able to see the name of the physician's assistant that they refused to disclose to me while there are about 10 employers just sitting in their chairs whispering and observing the situation. I ended up having to go to the emergency room and pay ten times as much just to have a splinter removed from my finger because the doctor was not capable of doing it. And then to top it off, when I asked to see the records there were untruthful and faulty statements recorded as well. This was not the first time that this has happened with Northwest Community either. Who knew that getting a splinter removed would be so complicated? I would definitely recommend staying away from this urgent care facility at all costs. read more

Do not go here! I went here for a simple COVID test and to have an allergic reaction looked at. The doctor took my blood pressure, looked in my nose and mouth (which took a total of 5 minutes) and said there was nothing they could do. When I received the bill, the statement claimed that I received treatment for 45-59 minutes and was charged over $500. This place is scamming their patients! When I called to have the bill under review, they changed the time to 30-44 minutes (which was still incredibly exaggerated) and when I told them I thought that was still incorrect, the woman on the phone began to display an attitude with the tone of her voice and asked , "Well what do you want to do then?" The bill still ended up being over $300. I have never felt that a doctor was taking advantage of their patients, but I have absolutely no doubt that is what's happening here. I really don't give many bad reviews...but man this is bad. First the place is clean. It is easy to find and a newer building. Those are the positives. It is 8:45PM right now. I arrived here with my father-in-law around 7:00PM. He texted me now, nearly TWO HOURS LATER that the doctor is now in his room. Unbelievable. Completely ridiculous. There is NOBODY HERE. This place is not busy BY ANY MEANS. In fact I have watched four people come and go. There has been one patient here for over an hour and they just saw him now? Combine this with the icy-cold staff and you've got one star. I wish I could do zero stars! read more

PLEASE read this review before going to this facility. I went to this facility when one of my family members was sick because of how close this place was to my house. There were two "medical professionals" that were there helping out my dad. They diagnosed him with the flu and asked me why he had other testing done (which they saw in his chart). I let them know why and truthfully the way they looked at me it was a terrible look like they felt sorry for me. I knew right away it was something bad. They left the room and came back and shared bad news with us. Following up with further doctor appointments and testing, things will be okay. Actually much better than expected. The nurse and doctor had absolutely no right to share information with us and that they aren't necessarily sure of. If they went to school and had proper education they would at least know how to look up medical history and they should know that there needs to be more proper testing done before diagnosing someone with anything. My point is they used me as a case study that night. They had no right. No professional skills and it really made me question their abilities and knowledge in the medical field. If I could rate this 0 stars I would. Northwest community doctors are truly great and are wonderful but the ones at this facility I would not recommend to anyone whatsoever. I will drive further to seek out better care at a different NCH clinic with professionals that have better manners and are knowledgeable. read more

I'll went there for a sore throat. They took my vitals and wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic. Then they billed me $448 - $242 for the 5 minutes talking to the doctor, $154 for going to their facility, and $52 for taking my pulse (listed as Medical/Surgical Supplies on the bill). I called to see if I could get the Medical/Surgical Supplies charge removed, as this is a fraudulent and unethical charge, but they refused and said I had no recourse to have the amount of the bill lowered. They said I have a choice as to whether or not I would pay the bill, but they will send it to collections and ruin my credit rating after 18 days. Some choice. This place is the poster child for what's wrong with our healthcare system today. Avoid it at all costs (no pun intended) unless you are ready to get shaken down for whatever they feel like charging you. read more

Had my 1st mammogram here in the Imaging Center. The tech Kathy was excellent! Kind, caring, funny and calming she and walked me through the process in a way where the procedure seemed to go much faster than it actually did! I was there approximately 25 minutes. From my arrival to my departure the desk staff was very helpful. While the building itself is old and dilapidated, it was very clean and the tech actually re-cleaned everything right in front of me (their new facility is being built next door). I had a great experience and will definitely be back for my next mammogram! read more

I pulled in here at 5:50 on Sunday evening and they close at 6:00. The doors were already locked and after 5 minutes someone inside saw me knocking, asked the providers inside, and mouthed "sorry we're closed." By 5:55 I pulled away. Any retail store would have allowed me to come in and make my purchase until closing time. I expected more from a health care provider. Very disappointing. read more

I NEVER leave bad reviews, but they've left me no alternative and this might save a life or keep someone from getting more sick or more ripped off so here goes. Brought my daughter in pre-Covid (it had just started being written about). They tested her for strep (positive) and gave her a prescription. Said they didn't need to test for mono because you don't get both. Said if it wasn't better by the next day, go to ER. Went to ER the next day, was charged hundreds of dollars for them to say "I don't know why they told you to bring her in" LITERALLY NO CARE PROVIDED. Turns out they SHOULD have tested for mono (as she continued to get worse) and, even if she hadn't had mono, the prescription they gave her wouldn't have been enough to cure her and the medicine they chose is dangerous to give to teenagers. And there's no way to complain, because they don't answer the phone and they don't have a customer service email address. They could not have failed me in any more ways...well, I suppose they could have kicked her in the shins. So there's that. You probably won't get kicked in the shins. read more

I went in because I couldn't get in to my own doctor and I knew I had a sinus infection as I have had many in the past. It was Tuesday and the symptoms started Sunday night. I was traveling and got home Monday. They informed me that they don't prescribe antibiotics until you've been sick for 4 or 5 days! I thought how stupid is that! I should go home and wait till I get even sicker before I can come in and get help! A friend referred me to Northwestern medical treatment in Vernon Hills. ( there is also one in Evanston and Deerfield) I went in today, Wednesday, told the nurse the same things I told them at Northwest Community, and was swabbed for strep- it came back positive! So hopefully anyone reading this will stay away from Northwest community treatment center and try one of the Northwestern centers instead! They screwed up a problem for my daughter a few months ago but I thought I'd give them another shot- BIG MISTAKE!! read more

Was here once w/ my husband for an injury to his toe. Basically part of it was hanging off and they turned us away saying they could not help us because they needed a referral. I get that but the part of it but the rudeness and difficulty to speak proper English was frustrating. Then my husband recently GOT A REFERRAL and decided to get a test done at this facility since it was on his way to work and ONCE AGAIN he was spoken to rudely and was told they needed a referral. He explained that his doctor had already send the referral over and they said, we can't help you without one in hand. My husband got frustrated and then a doctor came out and said if he didn't stop being rude they were going to escort him out. These people have no idea about customer care or service and if it wasn't' for the NCH name on the building, guaranteed they'd be shut down! read more

I went for my annual mammogram and for the second year in a row NCH tech told me that results would be communicated back to me no later Tuesday the following week. I had the procedure done on Saturday. Once again Friday comes around and no results. After I called about this repeated poor business practice, I was told to call my dr who is with northshore university. Horrible Horrible service!!! While the staff was very pleasant and friendly, my prescription didn't make it to the Pharmacy until 9:30 p.m. from a 6:30 p.m. appointment. So this was a Walgreens issue not the immediate care. The immediate care center hours state 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. NOBODY answered the phones. I tried calling the hospital and they couldn't help me. When I finally got through today at 9:00 a.m. They claimed their phones aren't working, yet she answered my call after 9:00 a.m. People count on their services! So disappointed. Caution: The visit is billed as a hospital outpatient visit, not as a doctor clinic visit. I took my daughter there because she had severe abdominal pain at night. The service was fine, but when I got the bill, I was shocked. I called my insurance and the northwest community healthcare billing department to find out why the bill was so high. They told me the visit was billed as an outpatient visit of the hospital, not as a visit to the doctor's clinic. I assumed that the immediate care was just an extended service of the Northwest Community Healthcare doctor's network. But I was wrong and stuck with a hospital bill, not just a copay. The Immediate Care office or its website should state clearly that they will charge you as an outpatient visit of the hospital, not as a visit of the clinic. read more

Could not understand a majority of the staff, and their comprehension of English was mediocre at best. I came in with a severely sprained wrist which I thought might be broken. They did an x-ray and determined it was not broken, but I was still in severe pain. My wrist was bruised and swollen, and I was in extreme pain. When I asked for medication stronger than ibuprofen they immediately accused me of being a drug seeker and told me there was nothing they could do for me. Moved into the area and didn't have yet a primary care doctor. Was having an abdominal pain for a couple of days and decided to visit an immediate care rather than an emergency room. Hoped for some kind of diagnosis. Everybody there was forthcoming and friendly. The doctor checked me out, asked many questions, and then said I need to have some blood work and an X-ray. Unfortunately, they are not equipped to do any of this, and so as a continuation, I need to to go to Emergency at the Northwest Community Hospital. I really didn't want to go ER. But they said that whatever data they collected will be already there by the time I'll get there. They even offer to take me there in an ambulance. I declined and, after some hesitation, drove there myself. When I arrived there and talked to the reception, it gradually became clear to me that nobody at the emergency got any info about me. Essentially, I would have to go through the whole reception process all over again. And billed twice. I run out. The point is, you might consider going straight to ER instead of Urgent care, as you most likely will end up directed to ER anyway. read more

I would love to give this place 0 stars! I went in for pain in my chest, the nurse and the doctor both listened to my lungs and heard nothing. They ran an EKG which was normal. They sent me home with an antibiotic and an inhaler which I already used and told them I use it. Two days later I went to my regular doctor and it turned out to be a pulled rib. No, antibiotics were needed. This is not the place to go. Dr Gully was rude and not very thorough. NCH needs to over haul this facility and can Dr Gully! read more

Took my wife in who had the flu. Good nurses, great doctor, we did not feel rushed. Walked out with some prescriptions and peace of mind that we were well taken care of. Haven't gotten the bill yet, but if it's reasonable and covered by my health ins, I would definitely go there again. read more
