From the moment I walked in he talked to me with kindness, humility, honesty and compassion. I had an appointment scheduled for 7/17. When I arrived at the office to check in, the woman at the desk seemed to be fumbling around. After a few minutes she proceeded to tell me that they had no appointment for me that day and that someone called me to change the appointment for the 23rd. At that point, I informed her that I never received any calls at all either on my cell or home number and there were absolutely NO messages left on either. The receptionist was a bit snippy with me. I had the appointment card with me for the 7/17 date and time on it , held it up and showed her and then she insisted that someone called. I told her if they had, it wasn't my number they called. Anyway, I said I did not want to get into a further discussion and that I would get back to them if I wanted to reschedule. The receptionist at the desk was rude, never once apologized or said that they were sorry for the 'so-called mix up'. She was very uncaring and dismissive. I was shocked that she had no compassion at all and just wanted to get out of that office. Thinking it over on my way home, I made the decision not to go back to them and change to a new Dermatologist which I did. I notified them several times via text and then called them to inform them I was no longer going back to them. I finally received 3 calls back for a couple of different reasons and never once was asked why I was leaving nor apologize for the appointment mixup. I absolutely will not recommend Skin Wellness at all. My suggestion is that the front desk receptionists, etc, all get professional customer service training.

The aesthetician Tami has been working with me through a micro needling treatment to clear up my acne scars. Tami has been wonderful since I first met with her recently however based on my history with all of her amazing staff in the past, I should not have expected anything less than a friendly & welcoming environment. Never once did I see the dermatologist for my skin check, but a physician's assistant. The office staff never scheduled a follow up exam after the first one. The 2 spots that they took pictures of during the first exam turned out to be cancerous a year and a half post the first visit. They never asked screening questions about skin cancer running in the family, never asked about my history with sunscreen or tanning salons. Skin cancer is serious and skin checks should be taken seriously and be done by a dermatologist. Follow up appointments for skin checks should be required and scheduled by the staff, especially if there are spots that are photographed for follow up. If the staff can schedule Botox every 3 months, they can certainly schedule skin checks every year.
