Do not try and shop here if you're transgender!!! I've been here three separate times, and been refused service each time due to my government name being different than my chosen name. The last time the budtender announced to the entire store that my names didn't match up, quietly tried to explain I'm transgender, to which he loudly started saying that I need to get an ID that reflects my "REAL name" in his words. He took pictures of my ID, documents, everything after making me wait 20 minutes just to tell me to get out. Insinuating I was trying to steal. While the Nectar on Mississippi isn't the closest dispensary to my apartment (when I want weed I could more easily just walk up a couple blocks to a different one) but I am still a regular for the people and the options. Nectar of course always has a wide selection but they always seem to carry the best strains of each brand. The store on Mississippi is a bit smaller than their other ones, but they stock the highlights. A few weeks ago, I needed a new cartridge and Blake's recommendation was easily the best cart I've ever bought. I've always had wonderful interactions there, especially with Blake and Jasmine. They remember my name, ask me how I liked my last purchase, and are just all around some of the best budtenders I've talked to. Everyone on staff is friendly and efficient and patient and knowledgeable. Whatever they're making, they deserve more. read more

The bud tender was very nice and helpful. Sadly I don't think she knew what a true OG Indica was. That funky original OG smell type. I spent 150 on 4 8th all different kinds and all of them where packaged over 7 months ago , so they are ALL dry and moldy. The taste is a big thing for me. All of them taste like dirt or mold. Not even herb or smokeable. Bummed cause I'm from SoCal so I know good herb and have been smoking for 20 years almost: This also happened in Colorado and I'm just thinking that bud places outside of Cali don't know what true OG smells or looks like. We did an online order this morning for curbside pickup my boyfriends ID is expired so he also brought his passport, not sure if it would be a problem with covid as the OLCC has allowed expired IDS for alcohol at the moment and wasn't sure if it was the same for cannabis. The budtender who came out to greet us was honestly really rude when I asked about it (not arguing because obviously had a passsport as well) and rolled their eyes at me and told me not to argue with them. Again not what I was doing I just asked a question and instead of educating me I felt belittled and talked down to. They came back out with our order and we tipped and left. I had enjoyed coming here because it was local, service was friendly, and they are knowledgeable but would much rather support The New Amsterdam on Killingsworth as they have never been rude and are always helpful. read more

I recently went to Nectar on Mississippi, and DID NOT leave a happy customer. Recently bought their top Shelf product and was disappointed as soon as I tasted mold. I went back to the store and they advised me that i couldn't return but I could always contact the grower with my complaint. WTH? Bad customer service, offered me nothing in return. Came here to pick up some last minute goodies on the way back home to Vegas! The place is an old house that from the outside looks like grandma would be in there watching Matlock with her 5 cats and 50 doilies! When you walk up the steps from the sidewalk, you walk immediately into the store with bud tenders and glass counters eager to help. The selection is much better for flower and concentrates than I'm used to seeing in Vegas and the prices are much lower. I bought a gram of Super Sour Diesel for $60. The THC level is 85%...wow! I recommend to anyone visiting the Portland area and are in need of some serious cannabis meds. read more

As someone that is not a frequent pot smoker (I almost never smoke due to work and the fact that I have lived in states that do not have legalized marijuana), this place was unexpectedly friendly. I was in fear of the typical dope pushers of my youth: loud mouthed, crude and juvenile. Instead what I got was a very professional setting along with professional employees. No more "Hey man, check out this new strain. It'll blow your mind" or getting a joint that's laced with something. I got an experience more in line to buying a pack of cigarettes, except with a bit longer of a line. I do not know the typical price for weed, but everything was reasonably priced. The employees were very friendly and open to the fact that this was a special occasion for me, and that I know absolutely nothing about marijuana. I also felt like they did me fair and weren't trying to rip me off, or put me down for being a square. Overall a very pleasurable experience. On the occasions I do make stops with my S.O. It's nice to see a shop well put together. The displays were bright but with a hint of almost steam punk charm. The tender was good at listening to what my bf wanted and what traits he enjoyed while staying within the budget and tax range. They had a nice selection of consumables that goes beyond just wyld. There were brownies and cakes. Along with Gron chocolate bars and gummies. That tender was focused on the customers before her so I couldn't get a good idea of their options or ask questions. But my bf got a nice reusable jar to keep his flower fresh which we thought was pretty cool. Kind of pricier than what I guessed with the surplus but he asked for top shelf so you get what you want. It still took him about an hour and a half after consuming to activate the sleepiness effects but now he's knocked out as I write this review. So I'm sure we will stop by when we are in the neighborhood again. read more

First let me say this: this review is for a person at this store, not the actual business. My partner and I love this place. We live right down the street and come in about every two days. Everyone here is always super nice and helpful and it's been a pleasure giving Nectar our business. We will continue coming to this store, only hoping we will not have to interact with this particular woman again. We came in today, I literally had a bouquet of small flowers I had just picked to give to the good folks at Nectar since they always help us out. We walked in and we're greeted by this woman (who would not give us her name, so I will describe her as a bit older, tattoos on her hands and fingers, black hair with a bit of teal, somewhat on the heavier side) and we're immediately put off by her attitude. It can only be described as the kind of attitude one has when they think they know everything and that they are much "cooler" than all of the plebeians who don't work at the pot shop. Apparently she is not new to the company, but she is new to this store. She was quite plainly, a complete b*tch to us. Like I said we LOVE this store and all the people who work there! We come in looking forward to seeing if not familiar, at least friendly faces. I didn't even give them the flowers I picked for them. It sucks walking into a place that you literally spends hundreds of dollars a week at, only to be helped by a lady with a massive bad attitude, that wouldn't even give my partner her name because she said it made her feel unsafe. I mentioned we are there basically every other day right?! She said she has worked there for months and never seen us, which we found out was a lie, when her coworker said she wasn't new to the company, but she was very new to working in this location. A word of advice to those working at dispensaries in Portland, ESPECIALLY one right next the the Q Center. If someone tells you to not say their legal name out loud, DONT SAY IT. There are a lot of trans folks that are triggered by hearing their birth name. It takes a lot of energy to constantly be asking people to not use the name on their ID. If they ask you to not, and you accidentally do and they call you on it, don't get defensive. Apologize. Use the name they're requesting. Do better next time. Don't put the blame on them.
