I saw this gem on instagram and i had to come here! It was a cute little cafe in the back of the gallery. The service was great told us about the menu and what they recommend for 1st timers. I had the BLT in the waffle it was soo amazing! My kids shared a waffle ice cream and we shared a orange smoothie. Price wise, was a little pricey. The only comment i wanna say is you guys should make your own cafe instead of in a gallery. I kinda felt bad because we walked in and the lady knew we only came for the cafe and was like kinda disappointed. But overall amazing! I cant wait to come back again! Edit: When I called back to inform the cafe of the poor service I received, the "nice" lady in the gallery hung up the phone on me! No apology was ever offered. I also forgot to mention the large dead bug I found floating in my beverage when I took the top off. Sounds yummy, right? Yesterday I thought this was the best place to get a kava drink in Hilo, but I went back this morning and was completely disappointed. They don't open until 9:00, so we waited for ten minutes outside. The lady working the front of the store was super nice, and smiled and greeted us as we entered. The positive experience ended there. The baristas in the back were so sarcastic, I wanted to turn and leave. I stuck with it and ordered a sandwich and Cocoava (ceremonial cacao and kava latte). They actually had bagels in stock today, which they were completely out of yesterday. However I'm pretty sure there was no kava in my drink whatsoever, even though I had asked if they could add extra. The girl gave me a sideways look and said in a very snarky tone that they work from recipes and can't change anything about their drinks. When I received my drink it was COMPLETELY COLD, not even warm or tepid. And it only took them 20 minutes to make the damn thing, even though we were the second people in line when they opened. By the time we left, there were about ten more people milling around waiting for orders (and many more leaving without even ordering), and the girls looked completely overwhelmed. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere less judgmental and more professional for your espresso--and even more for your kava!! read more

We ordered coffee and the lilikoi bubbles and waited 30 min for them to come out. The cashier initially told us that it would take 10 min. But we kept waiting and asked to cancel our order because we didn't want to spend our whole day at the cafe. The cashier initially said she would cancel but then Sunshine wouldn't allow it. It was super frustrating - terrible customer service. The barista made amazing coffee but Sunshine ruined our experience with her poor customer service skills. read more

Food is always amazing. Tried something new this time around since we had a kaukau card coupon for 50% off second waffle. Unibliss was a perfect treat - waffle is very tasty alone and adding all the fruits, edible flower and ube rose (frozen treat) was just amazing and a little bit of magic sprinkled on top. Elffle was a BLT in a cheddar and chive waffle and was perfect. It's perfect for my friend and I. We order 2 items and half it so we get to try different things. The girls there are amazing and friendly. Food is made fresh so expect to wait a few minutes. Well worth the wait...to me. They have a lavender cookie they make on occasion and it was just so tasty and different. Can't wait until they bring those out again. We've also tried Avocado toast, Greenwich, Thrilled cheese, Caprese, Affogato, Dirty Latte and several of their lemonades. We have not need disappointed yet. You can order at the kiosk as you enter the Crystal store, as the cafe sits towards the back. Or order when you get to the counter. DO NOT GO HERE!!! After a sketchy exchange where this worker wouldn't give me a pump of a syrup in exchange for another flavor, a sweet lady came up and asked for a little more hot water in her coffee that already cost $8! I actually then heard the same worker ask her co-worker "What is our protocol on hot water. I know we stopped giving out water." I though this girl was JOKING. Unfortunately she wasn't. She was so worried about protocol!!! This is when places go down hill. I know this from experience. I spoke to the owners about the importance of PEOPLE (the CUSTOMER) verses PROTOCOL and they basically said SCREW YOU to me. They had no remorse and obviously don't care about people here. Giving this place two stars because the blonde woman who makes everything is really nice and works hard but otherwise would do one star. We came here and ordered a drip coffee and an iced coffee. When we were waiting over twenty-five minutes, I finally just asked for our money back and the other woman said, in response to me, magic takes time. I totally understand that some things take time but if the wait is going to be that long, they should say that up front so the customer is aware. I've never waited this long for a cup of coffee. Overall, the coffee was okay and my partner's iced coffee was okay (was very sweet). And, the chocolate chip cookie was yummy once we got it! We were just visiting from out of town and won't be back. If you don't mind waiting a LONG time, feel free to check out this place. It does have a unique vibe and the staff is friendly although could communicate better. This beautiful, intentional, clean and bright space is such a gem! Every time I go here I find something new to be enchanted by. From the holographic lights, antique glassware, crystal infused water, and mana filled art all around, you feel inspired and that your experience here really matters. The lattes and beverages are all crafted with such sweet intentions and locally made ingredients. The bubble waffles are my fav! I normally never write reviews, but felt it was important to share this with the owners. I work downtown and my friends brought me some food for breakfast. When we opened the container the "morning fae bagel" only had 3 small pieces of avocado (in the middle of avocado season!). I was so hungry I started eating before realizing I should've taken a picture, but for the price of almost $8, it just seems a little unreasonable. I will say the bagel itself was delicious, but wish there was a little more value, substance, and care to what was paid for it. read more

After a short visit to the farmers market, we decided to wander a bit. I was in search for a late breakfast when I wandered into the art section of the store. I asked the clerk in the art section for breakfast recommendations and she suggested Nectar in the back. She directed me to the iPad order kiosk and I put in my order for our two espresso drinks and bubble waffle orders. I meandered back to the cafe after placing my order and found two chairs at the bar. Within five minutes we had our 2 drinks which were both delicious, especially the Mollinator. Minutes later we had our waffles which were scrumptious! Very happy with the food, drinks and service. We had some very pleasant conversations with the servers behind the bar while they prepared other beverages. I highly recommend this establishment! read more

This is a nice spot for a snack and a drink and there are tables outside. If you dine in you'll get an actual glass and silverware, which I appreciate businesses doing to reduce waste, especially since a lot of places stopped doing that during Covid. Employees are very nice. The lemonades are delicious but the edible glitter is a little disconcerting; you can request it without. Bubble waffles (both savory and sweet) are quite good. Awesome Cafe in the back of one of the art galleries. They have a ton of drinks and desserts. We went with the Mermaid Kiss, Citrine Lemonade, and a Mac Nut Iced Coffee. They were all super delicious. Very reasonable prices as well! It's definitely a must stop when you're downtown. read more

First off, it's such a cute space that Hilo really needed and they do make a lovely chai tea. With that being said I love going here for a nice dirty chai treat but have been very hesitant since the last visit when one of the workers was wearing a belly dancing style mask (which is mesh, so what's the point?) and then delivered my toasted bagel with NO Mask- is she seriously taking off her mask to cook people food and deliver it like that!? I'm sorry but In these covid times that is not acceptable. It really bothered me and i hadn't been back since (which was about 2 months ago) I decided to try again today, and upon arrival the same girl was working but not wearing any mask. when I came in- I asked her if she has a mask and she responded with a disgruntled excuse and proceeded to be rude. Again, very unacceptable especially if you're choosing to work in the service industry. I was extremely uncomfortable ordering for her so I walked out. I really hope the best for this business and only share this to encourage a better customer service experience. read more
