I called Ned Carnett Septic Service because another company I called first was very rude to me. Carnett's was very nice on the phone and I was able to set up an appointment with no problems. John came out today and dug up our septic tank this morning, and he was very helpful in answering all our questions. We got to watch the whole process (digging up the covers, pumping, and all that goes with it). John was a hoot to work with, and made us laugh throughout the process! Our tank hasn't been pumped in 10 years, and he said it looked good for such a long time. I called this business about getting maintenance pumping and some issues with the second side of our tank being buried and wanting to get that pumped, but didn't know what to expect. His son came out and dug further down and was able to pump both sides! Yay. We've had one side pumped several times, but other companies said the other side could not be done without hiring an excavator (even though it was already mostly excavated from when we bought the house). I only wish I could give this company more than five stars! I was in a crisis with toilet paper and feces filling my walkway in front of my house. I was stunned and went through a big, long list of names of companies that do septic services. Some of the companies I called were basic plumbing and did not drain septic tanks, they only unclogged them. Companies that did the full service clearing out of the septic tanks took too long getting back to me or not at all. Ned Carnett Septic Service was suggested by someone online, so I gave them a call. They picked up the phone on the first attempt to reach them, no answering machine or phone tree menu. I told them my issue and they had a truck out to my house within that hour! Jason the driver, took the time to show me what my issue was to prevent another incident. Not only did he flush out 1250 gallons of waste he cleared a clog and gave me advice on how to prevent a clog moving forward. I would highly recommend this company. Came and pumped my system and yesterday they pumpEd my neighbors home as he drove off our private road he destroyed our streets form boards which the neighbors were repairing the asphalt. When he pumped my house and my friends houses he complains that the septic system has baby wipes in it and that's why his truck hoses get clogged, he has said the same thing at 3 of my friends none of us has any kids, it's just an excuse because his equipment is old and worn out never use his service again !!! read more

She referred me to Steve Carnett, who came and dug through to the septic, and that same afternoon sent John up to pump, which went very smoothly, even though our tank was super full. We purchased a home several years ago with a lift tank and a pump. Being that we are from the Bay Area, it was a big adjustment to go from a clean and easy sewer system to a lift tank that constantly needs to be monitored. The brainiac who built our house 20 years ago thought it would be a great idea to plant Maple trees directly on top of the lift tank....well trees really like fertilizer and water; two readily available offerings with a tank directly under them. Needless to say, the roots became so invasive that the trees required removal as they kept on stopping up the tank. Ned was referred to us through a former neighbor; we met him about 6 years ago when the first issue arose and the tank overflowed; not pleasant. We have had 3 separate issues with the tank, he has pumped the tank all 3 times, has been fast, efficient and very reasonably priced.
