Zach came out and was super knowledgeable and explained the issue. He quickly fixed the problem with the toilet and at a very reasonable cost compared to quotes I got from other companies. Recently, my wife and I called Matt at Main St. Plumbing via a referral from one of our good friends. We were trying to decide whether to replace our 25 year old Jacuzzi shower pan that had cracked (due some underbelly softening), or to get it repaired and resurfaced via a fiberglass redo, and just have a new drain and seals put in. After chatting with Matt (via a phone consult) and sending him some pictures, it became quite evident that the original drain pipe seals, crown nut (missing), and surrounding flange seal had failed. That has most likely caused the under-pan softening (water damage) and eventual cracking. While that isn't great news, knowing this information (based upon Matt's expertise), has prevented us from spending a couple thousand dollars trying to repair and resurface the fiberglass pan only to have the cracking problem reappear (i.e. a waste of money). Matt was easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and had seen this problem before... As such, he was able to guide us in the right direction. A year later the tank less water heater had a major failure, it began screeching and was expelling large amounts of water from a drain pipe. This happened at 7 pm. We called Matt and he immediately called back,he walked me though how to shut it off and re route the water so we had running cold water. There was no charge. He went the extra mile even on a major component he did not install, and saved us a lot of hassle. I highly recommend Main Street Plumbing because Matt routinely goes the extra mile for his customers. Matt takes care of his people. In contrast when we called the company who installed it, they would not call back that evening unless we paid the high emergency rate.

Fortunately the previous owners had put little plastic bins under the sink, so it was able to catch a lot of the dripping water before it ruined the wood. Contacted our home warranty company last night and were assigned Mitchell's Plumbing. I think we've had them out 1-2 times in the past. Their scheduler called early this morning and said she would try to get us scheduled the same day. I loved that because I didn't realize how dependent I was on our kitchen sink to wash hands or rinse items! The scheduler (I can't remember her name!) called a few hours later and let me know that the tech would be on his way to us next. Soon the tech showed up (forgot to ask him his name) and took his shoes off outside! That was so considerate of him to do so. I don't think I would have asked him to take off his shoes since we were on a tile floor, but it was a nice touch. He quickly diagnosed the garbage disposal as needing replacement, which was fortunately covered by our awesome home warranty. An hour or so later, we had a new garbage disposal installed! Not the same brand as our old one (Insinkerator) but he said it was the same horsepower and the one the home warranty company covered. We didn't want to pay anything additional so we went with what was provided, WasteMaid. As we were walking towards the door, I asked the tech how long garbage disposals typically last. He said they could last anywhere from 3 to 20 years depending on your luck or how one uses it. Guess we will see how long this one lasts! Mitchell's Plumbing does a great job with getting things done fast. I do notice the techs don't do much small talk, which is probably why they can get same-day jobs done so efficiently. I guess I'm just used to contractors hanging around and chit chatting but for Mitchell's, they always seem to be rushing off to the next job, so I just stay out of their way instead of asking them if they want to be in my Yelp review photo lol. They get the job done, professionally and efficiently, so that's what's most important!

RELIABLE. THOROUGH. QUICK. HONEST…read more Matt called me 10 min from when I reported an emergency plumbing situation and arrived in about 30 minutes. He followed COVID protocols by wearing a mask and entered my home with shoe covers. He asked important questions including the history of my plumbing issues and knew right away what to assess for. I recently had someone from LR Plumbing in which they removed a surface layer of tree roots and the problem persisted to a point where my floors were going to be ruined from flooding. Well, Matt was completely thorough by testing my shower pipes with the toilet and completely removing the toilet to get in there as far as possible to seek any other things that may be blocking the pipes. Not sure what equipment he was using but he pumped out roots and called me to look (which I appreciate because plumbers should communicate with their clients and give updates). From the picture attached you can see he pulled the first portion of roots out (so many and gross)! After 15 more minutes he called me back in while profusely sweating (this guy was determined to fix our issue)! He showed about 5-10lbs of tree root and explained our front yard roots crept under the concrete and sought water which meant they went through the pipes. He showed me exactly what the last plumbers had done (a surface level job) and he even replaced the caps on my toilet. I can't even begin to explain how relieved we are because we've had issues since we moved here and we knew it was tree roots because we've repeatedly explained to every plumber that's come here and no one has gone this deep in our pipes to gather and cutout as much as Matt did. I'll be recommending him to our property management to use versus the other company and sharing this guy's card with everyone. Overall, Matt was friendly, honest, communicative, and most importantly got the job done. I sent him off with a soda, but if I had a gift card I definitely would have included that.
