Yesterday the service was so awful that I will be switching to another carrier ASAP. At 11:00 am on Saturday, September 6, my car broke down. I pulled over and arranged for GEICO's Roadside Assistance. I was given a 90 minute estimate. After 90 minutes I called and learned that GEICO cancelled my request due to an inability to get ahold of me. Absolutely no attempts were made by GEICO or the tow company to contact me. I called GEICO at 12:40 pm to request another tow. I was told the second truck would arrive by 1:27 pm. After multiple missed estimates and calls to the company, the truck arrived just after 3:00 pm. Despite no claims, my rate goes up every single year by double digit percentages. I have never missed a payment. And somehow a single woman waiting on the side of the road is not emergency enough for GEICO or their partners. Do not pay GEICO. It is zero value for your dollar and if you are a loyal customer, they will leave you stranded on the side of the road for hours.
