Ned Stevens is a very professional company. They have excellent Customer Service. I dealt with Justin Prairie who was very knowledgeable about the business and our account & house. He was a pleasure to deal with. (I hope that Ned Stevens management sees this.) The Gutter Cleaners are very proficient at their job. They show up and quietly & quickly get the gutters cleaned. They also make sure that they do not leave a mess, unlike other gutter cleaning services. Ned's window cleaning came and did my many windows in 30 minutes. They left everything sopping wet and left the windows to air dry, which are all water spotted now. What a ripoff. I give them 2 stars because the gutter cleaning appears to have been done well. I wouldn't recommend them because of their payment system and their office staff. It should be noted that their customer service people don't seem to work at the Long Island office but rather an office in New Jersey. My criticism is of the people at their main phone number, not anyone on Long Island. They charge an additional fee if you don't put a credit card on file. Now I am extremely glad I did not put a credit card on file with this company. After the service was performed I went to their website to pay by credit card (the charge for not having a credit card on file still applied). I entered my credit card info and submitted the payment. Their system showed it processing longer than you would expect for a payment to be applied. Finally their system said there was an unexpected error and asked me to try to pay again. Before doing that I checked my credit card account and there was a pending transaction from Ned's for the amount of the bill. Ned's had no record of my payment. I spent the next three days calling their office staff and sending them a copy of the credit card transaction from my bank. It was not a pleasant experience dealing with their staff. A representative offered me a "coupon" for my trouble and said it would be applied to my current bill. It sounded good but never came through. After 3 days the payment was finally applied to my invoice but there was no sign of a credit for the so-called coupon. I called them and another rep said it was applied to a credit card ending in "8174" however that is not my credit card as it doesn't end in those numbers. So if they actually issued a credit to a card ending in 8174, someone else got my money. They said they would investigate and get back to me but four days later nothing from them. They haven't called me back on the last two phone calls I made to them. I've seen some company responses here telling people to contact them at a support email address. Before writing this review, I sent them an email detailing the issues and the lack of the promised "coupon" credit. SCAM. They were going door to door in my neighborhood as I was leaving my house this morning. As I was leaving, one of their guys was walking up my driveway. I said, "Good morning. No thank you." He said, "No?" I said, "No thanks. Bye." He left. An hour later, I come home and this man is on my roof with another man spraying water everywhere from MY hose. I told them to immediately get off and I did not consent to this service and will not be paying anything. The first excuse was, "Your husband called us." I don't have a husband and informed them. Then it was, "Our boss told us." I told them that I already told them NO an hour ago and I'm the homeowner, not their boss. We had them come to our house for a gutter cleaning on 6/21/25. The one man they had hooking up stuff broke our spigot extender and hose trying to remove it to hook up their hose. I have the man on ring camera spending a majority of his time at this spot unsure why of that. They didn't bother to call us to let us know they broke it. Water was just spilling out of the spigot. We have Ducks and Chickens that rely on our backyard water for drinking water and pond water. It was extremely frustrating that we called and they didn't seem willing to help us out, but after complaining for awhile on the phone they told us to have someone go there to give a price so they could reimburse us. After we got the spigot and hose done, they aren't willing to reimburse us for their damages because they are claiming they didn't do it and have pictures showing nothing was wrong. I have video of this man getting his iPad after he hooked up his hose line to show their working hose attached to our spigot. And that is the photo they have claiming everything was working. I am disappointed with the company after this. Definitely won't be using them or recommending them to anyone. (For the owners or who ever responds to these reviews if you reach out. I am willing to send you all the videos I have even when we come home to find the area leaking and our stuff broken. THIS COMPANY TRIED TO BRIBE ME!! THEY ARE COMPLETELY UNETHICAL. DO NOT USE THEM!! They refuse to schedule on a regular day or time, and instead randomly send a text saying they're on their way - which consistently arrives *after* they are already here. Super fun to be changing your clothes on the 3rd floor and have MEN OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW. And because they cannot seem to figure out how to set up a regular schedule, I can't set up a regular payment structure. All they care about is trying to get more money from you. Every single time they come they leave a door hanger saying the found a problem. After having them "fix" 2 problems (at high cost) they STILL left me a door hanger every time. I learned my lesson. Then they got bought out by PRIVATE EQUITY and started buying all kinds of service businesses, which they now spend all their time trying to sell me. Constantly. Leaving me stuff in my mailbox, mailing me stuff, and on every call I've ever had to make. At the beginning of 2025, the payment link they send me via email stopped working. After 2 missed payments, I got a physical letter threatening to send me to collections. (I've been a customer for 5 years). At that point I simply had had it and decided to cancel my service. When I called to pay my final bills and to cancel, the man I spoke to - instead of allowing me to pay - started in on all the awards they've won and how great they are. When I told him I didn't care and I wanted to pay and cancel, he started his spiel over again. So I just started chanting "I don't care. I don't care. I don't care..." and then he threatened not to help me. I had to point out that he was refusing to take my payment and make it clear that I was willing to go to the BBB. At that, he finally accepted my payment and agreed to cancel my account. THEN THIS MAN CALLED ME BACK 5 MINUTES AFTER THAT CALL. AND AGAIN WHEN I DIDN'T ANSWER. HE LEFT A VOICEMAIL STATING THAT HE'D SPOKEN TO HIS MANAGER, AND THEY'D REFUND MY FINAL PAYMENT IF I DIDN'T LEAVE ANY BAD REVIEWS. I received a text from Ned Stevens saying they were on the way to my home for my gutter cleaning, no advance notice and I never asked for a June cleaning since there was noting in my gutters. I called immediately and told them to cancel (they had just pulled up and sat int he truck for 10 minutes). I was told that they cancelled them next thing I see on my cameras they were climbing on my roof. I called and told them I just talked to someone and they had cancelled it and I am not paying. They didn't bother to listen and were rude and kept telling me I am on automatic. I never agreed to automatic anything I call when I need them. I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB and NY State. Very poor customer service and if they dare charge the card that they made me put on file I will then follow up with a court case. The service has gone down hill since the original small Ned Stevens was bought out. They used to do a great job on gutter cleaning now they just blow the stuff out of the gutters to go all over my patio, I have a film from the fall gutter cleaning and they never even bothered to rinse the gutters. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of hiring Ned's Home (formerly called Neds Stevens Gutter Cleaners) to restore the beauty of the exterior of our property. The scope of the work that we hired them for included cleaning our fence, pavers, concrete, and siding. We're extremely happy with the work that the Ned's Home team did. From the before and after pictures that I've included with this review, you can see how well they cleaned our moss-covered siding, fence, disgustingly filthy concrete slabs in our backyard, our concrete driveway, our pavers in the backyard, and our pavers on our walkway in the front. The concrete floor inside and outside our screened porch had accumulated so much grime over the years and was covered with so much moss that parts of it looked like a green carpet (full of crawling little gross bugs, I might add)! The Ned Stevens workers did an amazing job of cleaning these multiple surfaces made of a variety of materials. From the moment I contacted them, their professionalism and commitment to excellence were evident. Throughout the project, the team worked diligently and efficiently, and explained their approach, answered our questions, and kept us informed. Quinton, the Ned Stevens representative with whom I spoke over the phone, was equally helpful. He patiently addressed my concerns, provided accurate information, and called me the day after the work was done to ensure that I was satisfied with the work. DO NOT USE THEM. Its is completely different. All they care is to argue with the customer. Since it was purchased by another big company. They charge us close to $ 410 for a cleaning service, plus $ 75 dollars for a minor repair. They came, sending (2) guys who can barely understand or speak English and they left in less than 45 minutes. Half of the gutters at the house was not clean. My wife watched. When she try to ask them why the other half of the house was not clean; they just ignore her and left. When I called, the person who was a part of a Phone Bank, claim that they do not use water to clean the gutter, really? We have been using them for 20 years with no issues. Since they changed their pricing structure they probably have new owners. They were to clean our gutters. They showed up and didn't ringing our doorbell and just started working with ladders against our house. We almost lost our dogs that were in the backyard when they tried to open the gate but our daughter in the back stopped them. When they said they aren't obligated to ring doorbells we told them to leave. I think the front was done but they never did the back of the house. We have full CAMERA'S and they show they were on our property for less than 10 minutes and never did the back of our house. Nor did they ever hook up to our water spigot to do the proper job. The "supervisor we spoke to promised they would not charge and give them another chance. We they went ahead and charged our credit card anyway. 3 follow up phone calls all reached other "supervisors" one said nothing can be done, Another said they aren't obligated to ring doorbells and offered a discount doing forward. read more

I've been using them for years on both of my properties. Since I'm reluctant to climb ladders anymore, you kind of have to trust that they do a good job. I happened to be home today and they showed up as scheduled. They were her about 15 minutes total. I thought how could they do everything in such a short time? I decided to put my phone on a selfie stick and look at the upper story gutters. I was surprised to see that the gutter guard was pushed back in one area, which will allow debris to enter. What a joke. After filling out their online request form, I heard nothing back for a week and finally had to call. Guy tells me that the crew will be out "between ASAP and two weeks from now" and that they won't call ahead of time or let you know when they are coming. Crew just showed up (about a week later) and were here for all of 10 minutes. They didn't bag any of the garbage, they just used a blower to hide it under some bushes in our yard. We have been using Ned Stevens for five years to clean our gutters. Up until this year, they had done a good job. However, this fall they came when no one was home. The next day we noticed that our hose (which they had used every other year, calling ahead to be sure we had not turned off the water) had not been touched and that there was no debris such as extra leaves or asphalt from roof shingles anywhere near the bottom drain spouts which had been the case every other year, indicating they had run the hose through the gutters. We asked my son to fly his drone over the gutters and take video and photos. After reviewing the video the gutters were full of leaves and asphalt reside from the shingles and it was clear that the gutters had not been cleaned. We called the office and spoke with "Stephanie" and sent the video and photos. She said she would talk to the owner. After calling back we were told that the job had been done and what we were seeing must have happened after. We said that there was a 30 day guarantee but she said it was not valid in this case (not sure then what the guarantee would cover). We were told they could come back out but we would be charged again. I would strongly recommend not using this company as they are not reputable. read more

Called for a gutter cleaning in early February. Was told it would be done in a few days. The gutters that we needed done was a rental so I had my tenants put water on which I was instructed by Ned Stevens. Here we are end of February and still no email no phone call. Nobody ever showed up. When I called today I had her explain to me that they can't clean gutters in cold weather when we actually had quite a few days during the month that were spring like. Terrible customer service, one gutter elbow didn't last one year, but nothing is covered because its out of warranty. After complaining, and getting a month extension in warranty, I was told that this elbow separation is not part of what's covered in warranty and the fee is $85 plus. Try to make an appointment, was told it would be within the next 2 weeks unless I want to pay $75 extra for emergency service, Or $50 extra for an appointment service. Already trying to "upsell". I paid the $50 plus tax for the appointment, few days later they show up and wanted to increase the price another $60 more for the service. After speaking with the salesperson, (henry) who clearly could not do anything for me, he put his supervisor on the phone, an arrogant woman whose name I don't remember, and said she will not do it for the original price. "Do you want to move forward, or should I have the workers leave." Yeah they left, and I'm not getting my $50 back. Also found it strange that when I got home that day, someone had broken my mailbox off its post near my driveway. They have replaced gutters and installed new gutters on an addition we did--all done at a competitive price and always showed up when they said they would(rare these days). We have been using Ned Stevens for years - cleaning our gutters. Always extremely pleased. Usually schedule May or June. We recently signed up for their window cleaning - skylights inside /out and screens, and any other windows that were not easily accessible. Home run!!! The two young men that showed up today were spot on great! In addition we received a confirmation from the office yesterday for our appointment. Wonderful! They were here 9am and got the job done in an hour and everything is perfectly clear and flowing smoothly. They cleaned up as much of the gunk they got out as possible. We had just bought the house and cannot even guess the last time the gutters were cleaned... there was vines growing out of them! And Ned Stevens did a perfect job. Extremely affordable too. No reason in the world to try to do it yourself when a service like this is available. To address some of the "negatives" that others state: They don't make specific date/time appointments, they just come to you when they're in the area. As far as I'm concerned, that keeps costs low so it doesn't bother me. Is there really a need to have them come on a schedule? They don't even interact with you... just show up, clean, and leave a bill in the mailbox. As far as I'm concerned, come whenever you want! Also, yes they auto-schedule your next cleaning but it's easy enough to say no.. it's an option to say no right on the current bill that you're paying. And for those saying it's expensive, you're crazy.. shop around and you'll see that they're not. read more

06/2020 -- Standard gutter cleaning. Excellent service on phone and on site. The workers were respectful of our property and adhered to social distancing protocols. This was extremely appreciated as one member in our household is immunocompromised. Our rates were very reasonable. So much so, that we agreed to an estimate for replacement gutters.
