Highly recommended. Lewis and Jean just came to clear our gutters. Super friendly and professional. They did a GREAT job, cleaned up the driveway and grass from all the debris that came out of the gutters. I will definitely call them again in the future. Just a note on the scheduling process. You will receive a call from New Jersey. They do try a few attempts to get you to enroll in a periodic service plan. You can, there's a discount, but you don't have to. You need to provide a credit card right then and there. After that, I received an email confirmation saying your appointment is confirmed. After that, nothing. That was on a Thursday. Today, Tuesday, I was about to call them, I was afraid the whole thing was a scam, but NO! They did show up! And they did a GREAT job! !AVOID THE AUTO RECURRING SERVICE! I setup this company for my folks back in 2023, while my father (a 32 USAF Vet) and mother were deployed to Germany for a couple of years. I was originally quoted around $340 but told that if I did the recurring service the price would go to $269 annually so, that's what I did. That was the first mistake. I have been charged between $320-$370+ each time they've billed me. So that's issue #1. They show up out of the blue with zero warning or notice and charge randomly. When my folks returned more than a year ago, my father told the crew that the service was no longer needed and to cancel any future service. The crew, who, likely don't speak any English apparently never communicated that to the office and just kept rescheduling. 4 times my father has had to literally chase these guys away. This most recent time, they broke a brand new vinyl gate while trespassing on a property that has notice signs stating that all visitors must receive authorization from the owner before entering the premises. They ignored it and proceeded to enter anyway with no notification or request. My father had to force them to leave....again. No service was performed and I had to call their corporate office to ensure that services are indeed cancelled. Which they don't tell you is the only way to actually cancel services and cease being charged. Wouldnt you know it, week later I get charged $342+ for that visit. After spending most of my morning speaking to multiple people in multiple departments and getting the run-around, I finally got someone named Errol on the phone who makes the best offer and offers to refund me $247 of the $342 stating that their terms of agreement require a $95 trip fee. All in all in extremely frustrated by my experiences with Ned's Home and would NOT recommend them based on their shady business practices and lack of transparency. ***To the service agent who will likely respond to this review, UNLESS you are able to return all of the $342.47 I was just charged and actually make this right....I'll politely decline your request that I waste any more time on the phone getting the run around and no actual help*** read more

So dishonest, quoted me, started the job, then increased the amount and then they cut my downspout and said they couldn't change it and placed a bigger capacity downspout into a smaller one and on the joint which is a foot down all the water is pouring causing ceiling damage, wall damage. when I called them the year after they ignored the email and then said the warranty was over. Then wanted me to pay for a cleaning in order to come and see their bad job. They came to clean my neighbor's gutter and blew ALL her debris into my car and garage. These people have NO professionalism... I wish I wouldn't have contracted them. I did because my neighbor had contracted them, but they ARE NOT professionals. Hired them to clean gutters. It seemed like they never came. I called. They said oh yeah, they came and did the work. That's strange -- I never noticed them here, never heard a peep. I had also promised my neighbor I'd look out for their car while the Ned Stevens folks came and set up a ladder in their driveway. Why didn't you guys ring my doorbell to give me a heads up you were here? Oh, we don't do that. Huh? So, I crawl out onto my roof to check the gutters myself. Now, there aren't leaves in here, but also, the gutters are nowhere near as clear of debris and dirt as I would have left them, if I were cleaning them. How much longer would it have taken to spray this dirt out? 15 minutes? I insisted that they come back, and they did, but I don't think they did much more. read more

They never came but charged my credit card. The rep said they came out and he has pictures. I told him I don't care about the pictures. They never came. 3 ring cameras facing my yard and no evidence that they came. I had the neighbor to check his cameras also. No one came. Leaves are still in the gutters. I almost had to beg him to cancel the service and refund my money. So im gonna wait a few days. So far their is no email or text with confirmation of cancelations. The next step is to contact my credit card company. The couple of times they came they looked like they were hired off the street. But I didn't judge. I could hear them on the roof. Don't bother. When you call it's just AI you can't get a human. I couldn't get my questions answered, it wouldn't give me the price and said my gutter cleaning was scheduled. No actual information. Got a text that I was scheduled. But when?! Text wanted payment beforehand so I didn't bother. Guys showed up at my house super early, waking everyone up, didn't speak English. Took pictures and I asked ME LOOK....PHOTOS..??? and he said office will send. I called Ned Stevens on Nov. 15 2025 and signed up for a one-year service. They promised to come the first week in December to clean my gutters and took $555.41 from my credit card that same day (Nov. 15). When the first week of December came and went, I called and spoke to a person (computer?) who told me that my service had been rescheduled for Jan. 1. I said that was unacceptable since by Jan 1 my gutters (in Massachusetts) would be frozen over. Now Jan. 1 has come and gone and no one has appeared or contacted me. My gutters are completely frozen over, and I'm afraid I will develop an ice jam on my roof. What kind of outfit is this? I am 84 years old and my husband is 89 and has Alzheimers. read more

I called Ned Stevens and let them know of their ineptitude. I wanted all services canceled and was told that this case was going to be escalated to management. No followup, no resolution. This company is not trustworthy. I've used them at least twice, they will not show up on time, I means months after you schedule the service. I received a problem found post card before they performed the service. They require a credit card on file so they can come whenever they want and charge your account. They tell you you do not need to be home and should trust them with providing quality service, don't believe them. The customer service department is where the scam begins, so use at your own risk. They are not honest. They quoted me a price for power washing and it sounded great as they gave me a discount. Said they would charge my card.. they only charged it once - I found that out when months later they started sending me texts and paper letters how they would put a line on my house if I don't pay the bill. So I called them and they claimed they can only charge my card once. So now I need to pay this huge bill in two to three months and to make matters worse they have no idea what my discount was supposed to be. This company SUCKS! There is no nice way to put it. "Scheduled" (a VERY loose term with Ned Stevens) a gutter cleaning last week (12/01). They texted to say they were "on their way" at noon yesterday (12/08). Never showed up. Called this morning (12/09), they cleaned the gutters on the wrong house and charged MY credit card. The pic of the house they serviced, and mine were CLEARLY not the same house. I was basically told "oops! First they told me all down spouts would be cleaned, that did not happen. Called them and they sent one of their Supervisors to finish the job. Down spouts still not cleaned. Told me when scheduling they could not renail gutter that had pulled away. Told me I would need new gutters. After telling them new gutters were not needed, told me they could do a gutter tune up for extra cost. One section pulled away after 1st rain. Since cleaning keep trying to sell me complete new gutters when not needed. Built over 250 houses as a contractor, think I would know if gutters need replacing. Awful customer service. I called in November, they told me they would come as soon as possible. I called multiple times in December and got the same response. Its now March and they just showed up. I already cleaned my gutters twice. Do you really think they were that busy they couldn't come for nearly 5 months? I have used Ned Stevens for 5 years and they used to be good, but recent experience with them has been horrible and I don't think I will use them ever again and would like to advice you to avoid them at all cost too. I booked a service in Dec and still cannot get service mid Jan. Customer service is rude and privileged, demanding and pressuring you to either pay a $100 additional dispatch fee or sign up for a premium program if you don't want to wait for the 2 months lead time. (When I booked the service, they mentioned it's going to be scheduled ASAP). After I call to ask to cancel, they immediately changed their tone and saying the emergency dispatch fee is $49 and they can waive it. At this point, I am not convinced of the quality of their work as well as the service they are providing. I don't think January in Boston is the "biggest season for gutter cleaning" as they claimed. I think they are either very over booked, or struggling with scheduling. read more

Hired Ned's in 2024 to do my gutter cleaning in the spring and fall. Wanted me to contract for additional visits but said not necessary. Told them the late fall gutter cleaning was the most important as my oak tree drops the bulk of its leaves at the end of November. They indicated they'd have us scheduled around then and did so in 2024. They showed up in early November 2025 and we sent them away as it was too early. Called to verify were on the schedule for late November early December and they confirmed. Called them on December 4 and they say they're backed up due to weather but we're on the schedule and they'll be there as soon as possible. I'm thinking what weather? We had a few rainy days and a light dusting of snow that disappeared in a day. Called again on December 19. Same excuse about the weather but then was told unless I was a prepaid customer they couldn't give me an actual date. This is where it gets interesting. They were now trying to get me to not only add additional visits but expecting me to prepay for service. What they originally promised has now turned into a 'bait and switch' and unless I agreed to these new terms they would not commit to a service date. In addition this company has bombarded me with messages about signing up for additional home services throughout the year. They fell short on delivering service and on one occasion left before cleaning all my gutters and had to return after I called to complain. Another time they didn't flush the gutters claiming the water was off. We had a mechanical timer on the spigot and all they needed to do was to turn on the timer. In short, I believe this company is more concerned about the almighty dollar and not about providing good service. I'll never do business with them again. read more

I called this company this past summer 2023 to get my gutters cleaned in late fall and again late spring. Got roped into a twice yearly contract and paid ahead. Stupid I know. It is now January 6 2024 and I've received no cleaning, no calls and only one email saying they were running late. I called them 12/20 23 and "Spencer " assured me that they are legit and would be out soon. Have checked BBB and they are NOT accredited due to many complaints about late service or very poor service. I plan to call them and cancel my contract. I do believe that this company is at least partly a scam if not completely. Please avoid. Wish I'd never called them. They bought out a company my neighbor had used and was happy with. I used Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning once (in Boston area), and then cleaning crew kept coming back without advanced notice and my permission. When first time crew showed up in my house without my knowledge, I called the office to stop future service. Next year, while I was out of town, I received a text message to let me know a crew would be in my house in a few minutes. I called the office immediately to stop service and told them I was not going to pay even if they did service this time. I don't know if they did it or not, but I received an invoice later. I signed on and made a huge mistake - they are HORRIBLE AND DISHONEST. They never give you advance notice that they are coming despite the fact that I requested it several times, they don't let you off the phone and try to sell you more and more and more. They only give you an hour to a few minutes notice that they are on their way and then just show up. When I called to express my dissatisfaction with the unprofessional manner in which they had handled my business, the lovely girl on the phone put me on hold for three minutes and then tried to sell me more. To the owner who wrote a response to my review on Google: You misconstrued my review. I advised the person on the headset "he needed to stop talking as much, due to being on his headset and his inability to hear me when on it." He advised he was "unable to hear me speaking due to a time delay when he was speaking." I just called N. E. Gutter Kings and was advised I was speaking with NED STEVENS GUTTER CLEANING. It was the most horrible experience I have ever encountered. The individual I spoke with, 1. He was on a headset and advised he "could not hear me, while he was speaking on his headset. There was a time delay". 2. The individual needed to gain knowledge of drain spout cleaning. 3. I advised my gutters, within the past 1.5 weeks, have been cleaned twice and are perfectly clean. 4. Every time the team comes, they break something. They broke the rain hood when they clean the dryer vent, and today they broke my lawn faucet when they clean by gutter. But the worst thing is when they broke your things, they don't tell you, they just ran away! Both times, they left without any notice, I have to find out the issue myself, and when I found the faucet issue, the water has been running wildly open for at least an hour without attention. Then you will have to call them and report the issue, I was told that I will need to find a contractor to fix the issue myself, and mail them the invoice so they can reimburse. It is none-sense, why do I have to deal with the mass you guys left?? Stay away from this company, half of their crew does not speak English, you cannot communicate with them, and work are terrible. I used their gutter clean, mosquito control and dryer vent cleaning services, I am not satisfied with any of those works. They finish most work in 10 minutes while some other contractors will spend at least 30-60 minutes on it, guess what kind of services you get form them. TERRIBLE! read more

I'd give negative stars if I could. Gutter Kings installed gutters and guards about 10-years ago. They came out a couple times to clean them out - no charge - the maintenance came with what we paid for. At some point, Gutter Kings merged with Ned Stevens and Stevens wants NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING GUTTER KINGS INSTALLED. NS sent a mailer recently which mentioned Gutter Kings (to get you roped in) HOWEVER when you call them - they say forget anything Gutter King related, it's Ned Stevens - no more free maintenance. They then go straight into a sales pitch to buy their gutter maintenance program for several hundred bucks: "you really need at least 6 cleanings/year!"... I agreed to two, for now, and scheduled them to come out w/in week. Early Oct. First Ned visit: got a text - "Oops! ... we weren't able to complete the job..." they said the road was closed... it wasn't, there was a detour sign they just decided to skip it. I called the office and told them to follow the marked detour sign. OK, they'll be back out. [Get familiar with Ned Steven's bread and butter, the "Oops!" tag: "Oops! ... we weren't able to complete the job..."] Second Ned visit: This time they showed, kind of. They pulled in, climbed UP and immediately back down and said "you have guards on the gutters - YOU need to remove them - we don't do that. Remove them - then call us." Seriously? Me? You want ME, 60's climb up 3 floors onto the roof to remove the guards Gutter Kings/Ned Stevens - put on? He'd left an "Oops!" tag on the door and bolted. Must be a good breakfast place nearby, they were here less than 5-minutes. Zero for two. I called Stevens and spoke to a Patrick who said for an additional $75, they'd take the guards off - and re-scheduled the cleaning. More up-selling their gutter maintenance for gutters they so far won't clean. Two days later 10:06AM I got a text they were on their way. At 10:09AM a second text saying "Oops! ... we weren't able to complete the job..." No show, no reason. Zero for three. Today 11/7 around 8:15AM a Ned Stevens truck pulls in w/ one kid in it. The kid gets out - walks to the front of the house, hangs another "Oops! ... we weren't able to complete the job..." tag on the door and leaves - off to breakfast again I guess. Strike four - I'm out. I called NS & got a guy who knew nothing but gave several different excuses. First the kid "didn't have the right truck". Then, after some 'researching' said the gutters have guards on - I needed to take them off. I told him Patrick there said YOU guys would do that for an extra $75 - which he ignored. He then said the guards were "screwed and glued INTO the roof" and couldn't be removed 'without damaging the roof' not knowing the kid who came out this morning never went up to the roof - he hung another "Oops!..." door tag and left. That was that, they won't take the guards off BUT don't hesitate to call them for ANY of the other services they're peddling. Yeah, right. Then said 'we won't charge you for today' as if he was doing me a big favor!!! YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!! What a waste of time by a bunch of kids who have no idea what they're doing, who don't want to work - just sell maintenance contracts and leave "Oops!" tags on doors. My only regret was not finding out where the breakfast place was - they bolted before I could get outside and ask, it must be good. read more

This company was recommended by an odd handyman. I submitted an inquiry and was harassed with their phone calls for days on end. When I finally connected.. They wanted to pressure me into premium contracts and 6x a year contracts. I said let's do two a year. They show up with 15 minutes notice a week and a half after I booked... put up their ladders and immediately get down and drive away... and I get a text from the automated system saying Oops there was an issue with your job. WHAT?! I call and they said that because I have gutter guards and there's leaves that are too crusted on for them to work on unless they remove ALL of our gutter guards for $75 extra oh but they can come back in 15 minutes if I like? These guys deserve 1 star. Last year I hired them for a gutter cleaning and a small leak. They found 5 other "problems" and i dumbly paid them to fix those due to their high pressure sales tactics. They never fixed the issue i pointed out though. The irony of it also is I have security cameras that were triggered the whole time they were working on my house, I could see after that they NEVER ran water over the section I complained was leaking and never tested the areas they told me needed replacing. Again - these guys are all sales no work! (Per many of the other reviews as well) They ended up agreeing to "fix it" and refund me if I took down a negative post I wrote last year about my experience. They never fixed the issue / so the negative post is back. Don't hire these guys.
