The belly piercing itself looks amazing, I get quite a few compliments on how centered the placement is. Before I got the piercing, my nerves were sort of high, so when he originally marked where he'd pierce, it was too far to the left, but I was too nervous to correct it. Thankfully, the piercer corrected himself after I stood in the mirror and it turned great, as well as making some jokes to ease the nerves. However, I will say that the jewelry isn't the best quality. After about a month with the piercing, the gem inside the top part of the jewelry fell out? Overall, I had a good experience and would go back again. The workers are cool, and pretty respectful. Maybe I'd go in with my own jewelry or bite the bullet and buy more expensive jewelry from them.

There have been a few times where I have come in to get new jewelry (went to the beach and the waves literally unscrewed my piercings..) and all of those interactions have been pleasant, including Zoe just giving me some of the little ball thingies. I went again in March 2023 to get my bridge done. Once again, Zoe did a visibly very good job, and it was a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, he did not actually do a fantastic job. He put in a curved bar instead of a straight one. For reference, you are supposed to use straight bars for bridge piercings, to prevent them from tearing or rejecting. I was, however, advised by other piercing shops and people with more experience than me to leave it in until in healed, so I did. A couple months go by, and it healed up fine. Not the best, there were some times I would wake up and there would be a little bit of blood caked on the piercing, but it was visibly good. I ended up going to a music show at the Whirling Tiger, and got hit in the face in the pit, tearing the piercing a tiny bit (I would like to state this one is entirely on me, and it would have likely torn even if it was a straight bar). It wasn't too bad, and I kept it clean so it could heal fine. Time went by and it just didn't heal, because the shape of the bar was causing too much movement. I eventually went to Artfully Insane to have it looked at, since they are right by my home. They were honestly shocked at it. Not only was the wrong type of bar put in, it was apparently hand bent. Basically, there was a 100% chance of it getting torn, by the shape alone, but because of the imperfections in the curve, it was a miracle it had not been rejected or gotten infected. I really wish I thought to get a picture of the jewelry before the man in there threw it away. I now will have to wait two months to get it repeirced, while this heals. There is a chance now, too, that I can't get it repeirced for a while or even ever, just because there is a chance of abnormal scarring because of the imperfections in the bar. I am not giving them the lowest score, because aside from this, my experiences have been fine. Zoe is a very nice guy, he did a great job on my septum, everything is affordable, people are friendly, etc. etc. etc. My last experience was not fantastic, so maybe find another place for surface piercings.

I was having trouble with a piercing change and the owner, Zoe, was super helpful. I called to ask…read moreif they had any availability and he got me in right away!

Piercing Pagoda is a Jewelry and piercing spot located in the middle of Lousiville's Jefferson…read moremall. I've passed This shop up several times when browsing the mall and we've probably window shopped a few times with my older daughters. Recently we finally became customers as we wanted to get my 2 year old and 5 month old daughters ears pierced. In the past with the older 3 we got their ears pierced at Claire's. We were not quite happy with the job of the past Claire visits and recently they always seem to have younger workers who aren't trained to pierce, so we made the switch to pagoda. The worker here was super nice and fantastic with the kids. My oldest daughter who is 14 got her second set of ear lobe piercings on This trip as well. So 3 sets of girls got pierced on This visit. My second oldest daughter who is almost 12 was a bit salty her big sister was getting a second set of piercings. Her original piercings she can't keep in because she always breaks out. So the worker based off her history Recommended an affordable set of earrings for her to try to see how she does before she eventually gets a second Set of piercings. The pair we got her was around $50 and so far 3 weeks in and she has zero break outs and appears to be fine. So she is happy right now. Like with all piercing the piercing is free but you have to buy the starter earrings from a special case and purchase some post piercing care items. My oldest went first with her second set of ear lobe piercing. She has other piercings and a cartilage pierced already so she was a pro. Worker measured her and was in and out with no problem. Up next was our two year old. Worker was patient with her and got everything lined up and even and she handles the piercing like a champ. No reaction hardly at all. The worker showed the same patience with the 5 month old who kept wanting to bite or eat the piercing gun so it took a bit to get her pierced. A few whimpers and a tear or two dropped but the worker was quick with a sucker that made baby girl #5 happy. Overall the best first piercing we've experienced with our kids. We may have gotten lucky and got a good worker and piercer but we are satisfied. Pricing is about or average to maybe a bit on the high end. I think all together with 4 sets of earrings including 3 piercings and clean kits it was just over 225 bucks.

Great customer service. Andrew is always friendly and helpful. I would recommend going there for…read moreearrings.

Walked into a Uncle Bob's and was pleasantly greeted by staff and Uncle Bob himself. (I will disclose that I have known Bob since first grade, but had not seen him in over 38 years). Their piercer is in every day they are open (go figure). He was honest and didn't have the materials I need to fix my jewelry piece and says he didn't want to attempt to replace it with something else because my ear was irritated. Here comes the best part of businesses I love. The piercer referred me to another tattoo and piercing shop.
