Nehalem offers a beautiful outdoor setting for wine tasting. The building has a charming, old-world feel, and we preferred sitting outside. They provide five different wine tastings, making for a delightful experience. The server was also very nice.

Saw this place on our way to Tillamook and decided to take a detour. You could do a tasting or grab a glass and enjoy it in the patio. We opted for the tasting. We were given a tasting of a few wines. The wines were too sweet for me, but I can see how some people may like them. Surprisingly, the tastings were free. It looks like they have events often. There's a resident dog named Rusty that is the sweetest. If you need some pet therapy come here. You can get double therapy with some wine. The guy behind the counter was great.

There don't seem to be many wine tasting places in this area, so when we spotted Nehalem Bay, the car simply turned by itself. This discovery turned out to be more fortuitous for me, a mostly non-wine drinker, since many of their wines are fruity. Not overly syrupy sweet, because I hate that, but quite flavorful and delightful as a dessert wine. And I really don't give a hoot what it was served in, but it actually was a regular wine glass unlike JW's experience. Laura was our pourer. She was delightful and easy to talk to, and certainly made our visit a positive one. Mr. B started with varietals, and pronounced the Chardonnay his favorite. It is not aged in oak, which was a plus for him. The fruit wines we tried included Blackberrry, Peach, Plum, Niagara (a Concord grape wine), and Christmas (a red wine spiced with orange peel and cloves that would be quite nice served warm). Mostly to please me, we ended up purchasing two Plum, one Niagara, one Christmas, and three Chardonnay (the last bottle being free after purchasing so many). And the tasting fee of $5 was waived with our purchase.

In 2019 we were on a road trip vacation in the PNW and had a couple nights stay in Rockaway Beach. We wanted wine, but it's mostly dry reds up there and neither of us are dry wine drinkers. I happened to find that this winery had fruit wines and we decided to check it out. The place is cute! The gentleman who served us for our tasting was a hoot. There was a group of ladies who were also doing a tasting for one of their birthdays and we all became wine tasting friends. It was a great time! We left with some tasty wines to drink at the beach cottage at which we were staying. If we ever get back out that way again, we're for sure going here again!

    Winery, wine tasting!

Such a beautiful coastal drive to get there! Well worth the trip! Two words: FRUIT WINES! I love the blackberry and applejack but honestly it's amazing how many types they have. Plus I just found out if I can't make the trip they can ship it! They also have a cute little wine cave in Depoe Bay!

My husband and I discovered this place when we first moved to Oregon and fell in love! Everyone is so nice and the family feel is fantastic. Melissa helped us plan our wedding which we had back in October 2018. Since we moved out of the state we are unable to go back anytime soon, but this was one of my favorite places in Oregon. I would recommend stopping here always if you're in the area.

Stop by and enjoy a glass of good wine!

We stop at the Depoe Bay winery (same company) almost every time we're in Depoe Bay. They have the best dessert and fruit wine. We love it!

The parking lot is much kinder than many other vineyards. I did not really see specific ADA spots which were likely full but the parking lot is small and easy to navigate with a short stroll to the tasting room. We got there later than I wanted but we were not the last and were able to tuck in seats in the back which is perfect. I was a bit surprised that they didn't have water at the tables for everyone and the menu was very small with two different paninis - a caprese and an Italian meat one.... we got one of each and then split them.Which was pretty perfect and both were really good! Their regular menu is much different and I look forward to trying it when I visit for a regular wine tasting. We started with a glass of the Rose Bubbles. It was perfect for a late summer afternoon. We drank a bottle of the Moscato Frizzante, a definite favorite. We are both hummingbirds, is in love with sweet wines. Sometimes the sweet almost assaulting on the palate. I was completely amazed at how smooth, soft yet supple that wine is! We asked to try their blends with sangiovese which they have 2. I was attending with my friends mom. My friend passed away recently and was married here so she wanted to get bottles of her favorite wines. There were 2 people working and he just set the tasting wines down (which were tiny samples in tiny wine carafes), mumbled what they were without pointing which was which and practically ran. Since we were actually drinking wine, our glasses were full so we had to drink from the carafe, which felt a bit tacky plus they are reds we were trying to actually taste... I realize drag Bingo is also happening but a tasting glass to give some aeration to the two wines is helpful. It was such a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The few annoyances we had, I imagine were likely from them having to navigate a larger group. It is so nice having a place like this so close! I also have to express that the inclusive events make me more anxious to support them with my business.

They were about to finish tastings for the day so he told us to let them know he sent us over. We went next door and told the woman working that we'd like to taste. She was not super friendly or welcoming. Maybe because it was the end of the day? I can understand that. The guest winemaker poured our wines. He didn't take time to greet us or explain any of his wines to us. Just poured, said which one we were on, and walked away. Our second to last tasting left so much sediment in the bottom of the glass, which we know happens with reds. But we thought surely he would give us a fresh glass for the final pour. Nope. We planned to head back to the shop to buy some of The Wine Shack's label, but we were so disappointed by the tasting experience that we did not. I wish everyone there had had the energy and spirit of the man in the shop. It certainly would've changed our experience.

I entered what can best be described as a large, deli-gift-shop. Ordering takes place at the deli counter, a number is given, and food is delivered to your table. There is a fountain area, a coffee bar and a refrigerated cooler for drinks. The wine section is expansive and beautifully displayed. I can't speak to the quality, as I didn't partake in adult beverages. The shop is comprehensive with loads of deli-like merchandise, boutique items and souvenirs. They offer a lot of hand-crafted and locally-made fare, which is my preference. The food was outstanding! I order the cheese charcuterie with salami and my husband ordered the Blue Heron Classic. What a delight, and with plenty of left-overs. It was such a gorgeous day I visited the Candy Shop for an ice cream cone (Tillamook, of course) and walked the grounds for peacock viewing.
