The actual winery is in Washington, but I would still consider that local. The number of wines offered was impressive. They had a large selection of whites, reds, and an even larger selection of sweet wines. We each did a tasting which offered five samples so that we could try more of the wines. I liked everything I tasted, but my favorite was the Pear Riesling. All of the wines were smooth and had nice flavor. The employee that did our tastings was friendly. He knew a lot about the winery and the wines we were tasting. He made conversation while we tried our wines and added to the tasting experience. The wine tasting room is on the small side, but was comfortable and clean. There is a tasting counter and then an area of food and other items for sale. Some of the wines for purchase are already refrigerated which was nice.

You get to taste 5 different wines, from an extensive list, and the tasting fee is waived if you buy a bottle. At this point, many of the grapes for their wines are sourced from eastern Washington, and notably Columbia Valley. Standouts for me were the Smoky Nor'wester, a Bordeaux Red Blend; and the Surfer Syrah. The Syrah was good and peppery, but on par with other readily available Columbia Valley Syrahs, so I went with a bottle of the smooth and balanced Smoky Nor'wester (hint: the name doesn't describe the flavor). My wife really enjoyed the "Rapture of the Deep", a sparkling cranberry wine. We came home with a bottle of that, too. If you are visiting Seaside, and enjoy wine, I would highly recommend stopping in for a visit.

In addition to the absinthe, which I absolutely had to get, I also ordered a gin flight. My server, John, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The patrons there were all friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable and they had plenty of swag. I bought a tiny bottle of absinthe and a sweatshirt, so I would have fond memories of that fine establishment every time I wore it.

Our second to last tasting left so much sediment in the bottom of the glass, which we know happens with reds. But we thought surely he would give us a fresh glass for the final pour. Nope. We planned to head back to the shop to buy some of The Wine Shack's label, but we were so disappointed by the tasting experience that we did not. I wish everyone there had had the energy and spirit of the man in the shop. It certainly would've changed our experience.

I mean, what kind of Washingtonian are you if you don't stop at at least ONE outlet mall? No tax, people... We mainly came to the outlets for Nike, Bath & Body Works, and Carter's. Being wine & beer lovers though, the name of this spot intrigued us. We were pleased to not find anybody else in the store except for the older gentleman working. The store is laid out nicely and is spacious. They've definitely got more wine than they do beer, but they've got a lot of both. The wine selection is phenomenal. So much! They've got wines from Oregon, California, and Washington. So many different kinds. I had a blast looking over all the different bottles and making my selections. My husband was also really happy with the beer offerings here. If you want to enjoy something in the store, you're able to do so. They have both wine & beer on tap available for consumption in the store. I didn't get the gentleman's name who was working, but he was so sweet and so helpful. I was having troubles picking between a few certain wines, and he helped make my decision and it was clear he was super passionate and knowledgeable about the products. Going further on that, he noticed my husband's beer selections and suggested a handful of other beers for him based off of the flavors he seemed to like - aka, we bought more beer than my husband intended ;) Even after grabbing two bottles of wine, and quiiite a bit of beer, after discount we only spent $60! There was a discount for a certain amount of cans (15% off for 8 I believe) and on the wines I snagged apparently too, which saved us $12. Highly recommend stopping by The Wine & Beer Haus if wine and beer is your jam. Outside of the wine & beer we got, the service was spectacular and I can only hope all the employees who work here are like the older gentleman who helped us out the day we were in. It was actually a Blues night with Lloyd Jones, who has shared stages and spotlights with Albert Collins, Cray, Raitt, McClinton, Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Dr. John, John Hammond, Junior Wells and Buddy Guy! The drinks are always excellent at Pacifik Distillers. The ambiance is great, sitting in a 125+ year old brick building on the waterfront. The tables are beautiful, and the chairs are really comfortable. A great place to relax and shake off the cold air. The food options are limited, but you're choosing quality over quantity when you head over to Pacifik Distillers. The prices are a little high for what you're getting, but the food sure is tasty! The service is great, and everyone is really friendly! We plan to make more regular trips to Pacifik Distillers.

WorldMark guests are treated to a complimentary tasting, so The Homie and I decided to check this out on 6/18/25. The counter person there was extremely welcoming and knowlegeable. He replied to my inquiry that they have been in business since 2018. He gave us the rundown of all the featured spirits: vodkas, rums, whiskeys, and liqueurs. The Homie selected 3 whiskeys & 3 liqueurs to sample. I selected all five whiskeys and the coffee liqueur. While we sat outside for our tasting, we also saw a deer and osprey. I ended up buying a 375 mL bottle of the Rhubarb Elderberry liqueur to take home. The Homie and a friend also visited today (3/20/25) and purchased some gin for a family member. Approachable and no upsell pressure experienced, one can make a fairly educated choice and purchase.
