Jonathan solved the problem in less than 10 minutes! My old Lenovo laptop stopped charging. I looked around online for a repair shop and found this one nearby in Eastchester. I spoke with Jonathan and told him that I tested the charger with a multimeter and it seemed to have the right voltage. But I told him not to take my word for it because maybe I didn't test it correctly. He took a look at the charge port of the computer to make sure it wasn't physically damaged. The port was fine. He took another charger and plugged it in just to rule out a charger problem; the new charger started charging the computer!??? Out of curiosity, I asked him if I tested the charger incorrectly by telling him how I did it. He said that just because I was getting the correct voltage that didn't mean that it was supplying the right amperage. This may be helpful to others that read this review since many of us use YouTube to try and fix things: I learned how to test my charger by watching a YouTube video by a "computer tech". He showed how to test a laptop charger, and stated that if the voltage is correct, then the charger is fine. He didn't state that the voltage could be fine, but the amperage could be a problem. The lesson here is don't rely on YouTube or assume the worst if you try to fix your computer by watching a video and running a test on it that fails. Just take your computer to a honest and helpful professional like Jonathan. He didn't charge me any fee to take a look at my computer. I just bought a new charger from him and I'm using the computer now to write this review. If I need help with a computer repair in the future then I'll just go back to this shop. I cannot say enough good things about Wang and his crew at NCR. I went in with a fried external hard drive, and they retrieved far more files from it than should have been possible. They definitely know what they're doing, my wife's Macbook Pro got water spilled on it from a thermal inside her bag, they were able to fix the laptop with a couple parts ordered so its functional again as well and therefore data recovered (now the data is backed up on the cloud just in case for the future). I recommend you find another repair shop if you need quality repair. I used them twice - one time to replace a screen on an iPad and another time on my son's iPhone. First time, button got dislocated and stopped working. On the iPhone the screen unglued and fell off completely. This is likely because they use cheap 3rd party parts for repairs. In the case of the iPad, my wife called them about the button and they refused to do anything, with the iPhone, I brought it in in person to show them and they said it's been 2 months, so they would have to charge me the full amount again for repair. After being frustrated by the Apple Store (2 days in a row), I solved my issue by going the Neighbor Computer Services. I wanted to extract the pictures off my current Iphone prior to buying a new Iphone Xs. The Apple Store told me that if my photos were no longer backing up to my cloud, they could not help me. Within a few minutes of entering Neighbor Computer Services I was given a few other options which I should try first and also they took the time to show me how to do it on their computer. When these other options did not work, they found a solution to download my picture ensuring none of them were lost. There were approx. 8 years of important photos of my children and my recently passed family members.
